x5 50e all the way. Makes the car so much more comfortable when driving on the Emotor, also they are insanely fast for how big they are. I reckon apart from the m60i the 50e is the best x5 to buy
I used to have a 2019 model of the previous shape. I loved that car. One of my favourite features was the reverse assist, where it would remember your forward movements, so that it could reverse you out of an area exactly how you drove in. Great for reversing off of a drive and onto a road, or through a tight gate. Does this model still have that feature? It was a standard feature on mine.
I've noticed several times that headlights on this BMW become amber color and start to blink. As a BMW owner myself I have never seen it. Is this a new BMW feature that is available on new BMW s only?
Have the 50e, amazing car, but cockpit dials are all on the slant at an angle on the new dashboard. Once you see it you can’t unsee it and it becomes a frustration for what otherwise is a great car.
The gas strut in the back has some nostalgic noises for anyone who has had older BMW's. They always sound like your opening some secret alien treasure chest when you pop the boot with those struts lol.

BMWs are by the way nicer looking cars then Mercedes I dont think any Benz is even worth it's outrageously ridiculous price tag.
Disagree about making air suspension the default. Its more weight and more to go wrong a few years down the line. Normal springs provide a good enough ride for most people.
Although expensive they are easy to fix when they do go wrong it’s a relatively simple system and makes a lot of difference to how the car drives over rough terrain both offroad and in normal U.K. roads whilst maintaining the most control over body roll and turn in. I prefer it on suv for sure, and it makes the allroad models of Audi drive way better than the spring models for example. Think it’s a love hate thing, you’d never have it on a track car obviously but when are you going to track your x5?😅
We very recently had a X5 50e as a rental on holiday (Italy) and boy am I now grateful for our GLC at home....(traveling with my wife and 2y old in a child-seat) The suspension was ok but the response to the throttle was all over the place, no way to just comfortably cruise. With lighter input to the throttle it was slow to react or with ever so slightly more to harsh so that it jumped off... Also the horrible "split boot" is so annoying to anyone wanting to load or unload anything but Golf-Bags.... AC only works with the key in the car, and the driver pushing the brake... WTF... in 34+C Weather in a black SUV the size of a Barn with black leather Seats?!? And IF it could work otherwise, I don't want to flick through a) hundreds of TouchMenus OR b) needing extra steps or instructions. Car in Park, ignition on, AC On. Period.
Meanwhile, BMW sells more of this than the GLC. "The horrible split boot is so annoying." It's more than "horrible," it's a crime against humanity, don't you think? I bet you even whine when someone offers you the best Italian gelato.
That water in the headlights... might that be on "purpose" today? Have seen way to many videos here where it was like that with premium brands to think it is just bad production quality all over all brands. Do they maybe not really seal the glas itself but just the LEDs? And probably the water will get out as soon as the car starts going/the LEDs produce some warmth?
Just to correct you on the rear seat releases - you have handles at the back of the boot as well as those on top of the seats themselves so you don’t need to ‘go round’ to release them to flatten the - Also spec the electric load cover - best thing ever!
There used to be handles in the boot area to lower the rear seats, for some reason they chose to remove them. I was disappointed to discover this as was on my previous X5.
Absolutely love your show brother. Hailing from Texas. Not just the most entertaining, but the most knowledgeable. A true automobile enthusiast. Cheers.
THat light condensation is completely normal thing in all modern LED main lights due to the fact that LED does not heat up as normal lightbulbs or xenon lights used to. So conedensate appears due to difference temperature difference from outside and inside the headlight. Manufacturers try to "battle" this by applying silica strips or similar stuff which "pulls" humidity onto themselves inside the headlights. So this condensation is a result of something like "Low quality" manufacturing but a physics fact
In my country if I add in the configurator the extras that I want the cars final price is almost the same for the 50e and 30d engine. Which engine would you recommend?

x5 50e all the way. Makes the car so much more comfortable when driving on the Emotor, also they are insanely fast for how big they are. I reckon apart from the m60i the 50e is the best x5 to buy
50E over the m40d. More quicker, and a smoother ride.
cayenne definetely

I used to have a 2019 model of the previous shape. I loved that car. One of my favourite features was the reverse assist, where it would remember your forward movements, so that it could reverse you out of an area exactly how you drove in. Great for reversing off of a drive and onto a road, or through a tight gate.
Does this model still have that feature? It was a standard feature on mine.
Can you imagine when the screen fails? "That will be 14 320 eur, please"
I've noticed several times that headlights on this BMW become amber color and start to blink. As a BMW owner myself I have never seen it. Is this a new BMW feature that is available on new BMW s only?
I always loved the look and overall feeling of the X5. Definitely one of my favorites SUV‘s
I was NOT ready for what happened at 4:13 🤣🤣🤣
I wish we had the option of diesels in the US
I have a diesel 2015 X3 in the US. They're out there!
What is this color called?
Mat. You missed the 6 cyliner petrol twin turbo with 385 hp as well as the top of the line X5M engine with 625hp
They normally review the m's separately
BMW should fix the fog issues with lights! What a emberasing for that brand ... I had same problem with Mini..
Will pick upmy X5 M60i tomorrow!! Love the car
Wow, I'd have never guessed you had a folding phone 😂
Perfect car, great review as always.
Great car. Only complaint with the LCI is the removal of buttons.
6:04 Mat's been to Liverpool... 😀
Apparently the sound of the BMW X5 2024 is like 2013 Pagani Huayra.
Oooiii Matt, you gotta go on fire in the booth with them bars at the start 😂😂👏🏾
Have the 50e, amazing car, but cockpit dials are all on the slant at an angle on the new dashboard. Once you see it you can’t unsee it and it becomes a frustration for what otherwise is a great car.
The gas strut in the back has some nostalgic noises for anyone who has had older BMW's. They always sound like your opening some secret alien treasure chest when you pop the boot with those struts lol.
I'll buy this over Mercedes Benz easily Mercedes Benz is UNNECESSARY WAY EXPENSIVE YES WAY TOO EXPENSIVE the facelift version of Mercedes Benz brought a VERY VERY HEFTY PRICE TAG across all their models so no can do not getting a Benz. BMWs are by the way nicer looking cars then Mercedes I dont think any Benz is even worth it's outrageously ridiculous price tag.
Fr and the reliability is down to
Will you bring the new Cayenne for revieuw?
This is literally the best SUV in the market
Ticks every box
Xc 90
@@ukaszpaluch4950that's such an old person's car
Hasn't got the flair as an X5, when u buy a Volvo, you've given up on life
Whats up with new cars and foggy headlights???
Disagree about making air suspension the default. Its more weight and more to go wrong a few years down the line. Normal springs provide a good enough ride for most people.
Agree 100%✓
Most luxury SUVs these days have air suspension as default.
@@manofsesame3024even also to Cadillac Escalade and Hummer H3 Patriot.
@@KeyBrosUKthey also have 3 year warranty like the 2011 and 2013 Pagani Huayra.
What is the thing with the condensation in the headlights? Is that normal??!?!
The back seat release is on each side of the boot, big lever with an X on it
the want-factor of an x5 just never dissapoints
10:00 Is there a black spiderman mask watching carwow from the mirror? 😅
BMW X5 is one of my favorite SUVs ...so glad they've made such great car.
Why are the sunblind hooks visible when the window opens?
Actually you still can control the distance on the steering wheel as there are still dedicated buttons for that which also can be seen in the video.
I’ve been waiting for this review for almost a year now. Come on Matt!!🤣🤣
You should be a DJ. YOUD own the turntable 😂😂😂 💿
In my country if I add in the configurator the extras that I want the cars final price is almost the same for the 50e and 30d engine. Which engine would you recommend?
I don’t know if it’s going to be useful for you after one month but I’ll tell you something. It all comes down to your preferences
0:16 and fragile
😂
With year is this one?
So nice to see a car review video again and not a drag race. Keep up the amazing content.
What year is the car
Matt... you have done your job.. I moved from an X1 M35i to an X5 30d fully loaded.
I feel agree with you on your Vedic but my concern is the car would have space if I had more seats on it
what color is this?
