Wow the light comparison....crazy!
Because US laws, BMWs laser lights are dumbed down a lot there. In Europe laser lights work in full power and are great.

Very nice vehicle! It seems especially dog friendly. I like all those vents in the back and the way the tailgate closes like a clamshell. Also the ability to raise and lower the vehicle to make dog entry and exit easier. Really really thorough and fun review!

Those wheels are my favorite non 20" wheels! They look to be easy to clean!,...and actually look sporty too,....and no worries about no one wanting to steal them!

Fantastic vehicle! I now own an X5, a 2010 X5 48i and I love it. Only transported the dogs in it once but it did pretty well! This G05 X5 is very different from the E70 I have, but both are wonderful vehicles

My dream car. I would get the glass gear selector and the glass scroll wheel.
You also can motion your foot under the back bumper to automatically open AND close the trunk in case both your hands are full. ;)

Great review, great car, funny editing😁👍 Only thing with BMW's, when you go bananas in the options list, it goes from X5 to Xpensive. Probably north of 75K this one?

BMW is relatively cheap in the luxury segment. Benz is slightly more (a few grand for comparable equipment) and Porsche is anywhere from 5-10K more. I bought a $70K X5 and I cross-shopped against GLE and Cayenne so I was comparing apple to apple.
How hot was that water bottle when you figured out it was on heat? Automatic rear trunk cover...wow! Great review!

BMW's don't come with a spare anymore, all run flat tires.
Also, laser headlights are limited in the US due to regulations.
Yes on the lights, but not exactly true on the tires. By default BMW gives run flats but you can add a spare tire for $150. On cars like X3, it raises the cargo floor up a couple inches, not sure about X5.
Recommended by @savagegeese, love different practical review of the x5. First review I’ve seen actually talk to how cool/warm the cup holders keep the cups and the note about the center console vents also causing the inside to be cool. Your videos seem to cater to life usage and near car buying decision making so would be nice if you also offered comparisons to similar vehicles that are 2 row. And whether the 3rd row is worth getting.

BMW will charge for apple carplay every year, that is crazy
Sure, but a lot of companies charge $300 for the CarPlay. In this case, you’re doing it after the sale of the car. It’s definitely a different approach - I was initially kinda confused by it too
That's no longer an issue. I agree BMW shouldn't have done it but they were exclusively the only car manufacturer with wireless carplay. As soon as MB and Audi launched wireless carplay, BMW stopped charging. It is 100% free now.

I have a lab (fox red) and a new X5, and I do like the video, but really that soundtrack loop is too loud and repetitive and annoying!
The audi Q7 is still a better suv overall, even after all these years.

As someone who looked at both Q7 and X5, I'd disagree. Interior room is the only thing Q7 wins and that's simply because Q7 is longer exterior and is FWD based unlike X5... performance, efficiency are 100% on BMW side (objectively speaking). Infotainment tech is debatable but I'd say it's equal.
If you only care about interior room you could argue Q7 is a better car but that's really your only argument.
