I really relate to your point about being stressed when pursuing goals that have more to do with other people's expectations. I had never thought about that but it's so true.
My neighborhood is noisy. I have window air and fans that drown that out. To get rid of noise helps me focus. Keeping things neat makes me just feel better. I find I'm stressed when I go out to crowded places. I don't go to big stores ,only small shops, and early . I have a private garden in front,so my view of bird feeder and bird bath is very enjoyable to me .Have a lovely day!
Thanks so much for sharing 😊 I am the same with all those things. There is nothing better than a neat home and being in a calm place. Your private garden with a bird feeder and bird bath sounds amazing. You have a lovely day too!
When I am stressed I start to use my phone as a distraction. Sometimes it is okay because I can find some calming material (like your videos!) but sometimes it just becomes a form of procrastinating. I make sure to limit any notifications on all my tech to keep it a tool i use rather than a tool that uses me. Thanks again for another great video-been really enjoying them while having my morning coffee :)
For some reason I get distracted a lot. Like you, I remove physical distractions as much as I can, but I do live with a non-minimalist. In the bedroom though, it's not cluttered and I think that's most important to me. If I go to bed and having clutter all around me, I'm going completely nuts. I get panic attacks from all clutter and stress. Lovely video, Anja! Hugs to you and Olivia 🌻🧡🌻🧡
Thanks so much, Elisabeth Charlotte. 💛 Yes, I can imagine that sharing a space with a non-minimalist requires some compromises :) And that is so true about clutter in the bedroom. The bedroom is the place to rest, clutter there is the worst, I agree :) Haha I also go nuts when there is clutter there. Definitely not a good nights rest with 'stuff' and 'to do's' around. Big hug back to you. 🤗
thanks to you anja---i understand----as for me i wont put my head into analyzing my feelings on simplicity---if i do then i loose the whole concept of being free of stuff, i dont need or want--may i ask what you put in the mashed sweet potatoe---looks delightful---thank you--deatra
Hi Deatra, thanks for sharing, very beautiful said. I can definitely understand that. Yes, these tortillas are very good I find. It's just two ingredients: sweet potato and cassava flour. (and some salt if you like) This is the recipe: th-cam.com/video/Cx_3puICVnQ/w-d-xo.html

I'm exactly the same way. It's been harder to focus on my work because of simple distractions.
Hi Rosemary, thanks for sharing. Yes distractions can really make work difficult. Same here 😊
