Getting rid of needs of all sorts is very liberating indeed, I'm not as extreme as a minimalist as you are but there are toms of things I never owned and never will, don't feel the need to have hundreds of products either and I don't shop anymore and I find it very liberating. I only buy stuff when really necessary otherwise I use what I have till the last bit it drop or piece of fabric, I don't care about clothing anymore and live in tracksuit bottoms and sweaters or jeans and hoodies when out and about.
Yes, it's really very liberating to get rid of needs! Good to hear that you feel comfortable owning less and that stopping with shopping also liberated you. I understand the not caring for clothes anymore, it is so freeing indeed. I have always cared so much for it and feel free now that I don't anymore :)
I always love your videos so much! Whenever I'm not feeling so good watching your videos always makes me feel better. I find everything you speak about very true for me and very helpful. Thank you Anja
I just looked at all the dust on my nightstand and just thought...instead of constantly having to clean this or look at it in despair (because I feel all I do is clean), why not just get rid of the nightstand!? I think I want to go even further into minimalism and challenge myself to get rid of even those things that while useful, aren't absolutely essential... I think I'll love it. Anyway, nice video! Thank you 💙
I would love to see a video with you speaking your language with subtitles. I just found your channel and you motivate me to declutter but it’s so hard for me.
Thank you so much! Yes I know, decluttering can really be challenging both mentally and physically. I do find that it gets easier over time :) and thanks for the language tip! Lovely idea :) Wishing you the best with your decluttering journey 💛
Thank you for your comment and for subscribing, welcome! :) and for sharing which color you like. I also really like the color blue and I use it a lot in my artworks ;) It's very calming indeed and just reminds me of water and air. Blue has something magical.
Just found your channel and I love it. Would you talk about how you got rid of the chemicals in your home and what you use now for cleaning, shampoo, makeup, etc?
Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it. And yes, it's definitely a good idea to share how I got rid of chemicals and what I use instead. Will make a video about that soon :)
Very cool video. I basically agree with everything you mentioned except number 9. I'm a chemist, so I'm a little biased when it comes to chemicals. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! And haha that is very funny! I can imagine that it must be very interesting to work with chemicals. I understand that you are biased towards them :)
It's such a difficult thing to do, isn't it? Well for me when I started a new contract for a new art project I just told them upfront. It was difficult and I wanted to cry and run away, because I was afraid of conflict and to not be perceived as nice or to not get the job of course. I mean we are dependent on money after all so it's not something that is easy. My plan A was to just be honest but also in a light way, to not make it too dramatic, just something that is my preference instead of putting the blame or emphasis on them. And to just not explain myself too much. And if they'd ask I would tell a little about social media detox in general and how I want to live my life and that I'm more productive on email during work hours and just more focused without messages. I had this plan B in the worst case scenarios (if I knew they would act difficult or not have respect for me) I would just tell people I don't do social media and Whatsapp and I would buy an oldschool phone. (Because trust me people get create as well, when you say no Whatsapp they will send messages on Facebook or Instagram) and I would just emphasize on EMIAL and just not have the option of Whatsapp. (well maybe a secret phone for family and friends). The book "the 4 hour workweek" has a lot of tips about how to get people to only email you, how to say it and also many other tips for how to deal with people who just waste your working hours in general, though meetings or whatsoever. There are a lot of good tips in there for these kinds of situations. Wishing you the best luck and I hope your workplace will not bother you on Whatsapp anymore
Hi Amy, It's good to keep the things you enjoy! I think one of the most important things of minimalism is that we priorities what we truly love to have :) And I can definitely understand that having a big make-up collection is valuable. I myself also am a fan of make-up. I think it's nice to feel good, I love the routine in the morning and I also find it a way to express myself creatively. So keep on enjoying what you love! 💛
@@AnjasArtWorld makeup to me is meditation. It's like the monks that draw the big zen mandalas in the sand and then wipe it all away. It's my art medium of choice :) i also love music
Thanks for letting me know! I was already afraid that I probably have not noticed a grammar or spelling mistake somewhere. 🙃 Well, probably more places haha. But a Thumbnail is kind of obvious and out there so I'm going to see if I can fix that.

A quick "no" and a slow "yes'.
I LOVE IT 😍
Yes the quick "no" and a slow "yes" is really a good trade :) It's from the book Essentialism by Greg Mckeown
