How to declutter your life in the upcoming year, new year new start. These are the 8 areas I'm going to declutter in the upcoming year as a minimalist to live a more simple life.

I used to do a demanding and stressful job representing people in difficult circumstances. It was rewarding, and I was able to change many of my client's lives for the better.
However, I got to the point where I needed a change. I now live a quiet and simple life by the sea. I find meaning in small things like tidying my apartment, cooking a meal, and meditating. I also love to spend time in nature, which for me means spending time in the water.

One thought sparking off what you said. This will be a controversial view, but I do filter out old photos. It's part of Eckhart Tolle's wisdom of not living in the past or the future, but coming back to the present moment.

Love this. I used to always go the extra mile at work and I did get lots of praise for that. Now I prefer to do just what is required of me and I'm much happier and less stressed. Being the "star employee" is not really worth it. You can be happier being the average employee who doesn't really stand out.
