Amazing! This guy is pushing 70 and still kicking ass. I must admit that I was never the biggest fan of the red rocker, but as the years go buy I gain more and more respect for his ability. The fact that everyone he works with raves about him and his work ethic tells you the kind of man he must be. Sorry Sammy, I'm late to the party but glad I finally showed up.
+scott pierce Saw Sammy, Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson at the Borgata Aug. 1, 2014, and it was an unreal show. Hard to believe he'll be 69 in October.
THE TRUE RED ROCKER!!! Still alive and kicking ass now and way back from day 1 with Montrose!! There will never be another talented rocker as him to ever walk the face of this earth!!!
I just love Sammy Hagar, he can do it all and have fun doing it, now that's life! I just love his music, he has the "it" factor people can't even buy that , you either have it or you don't. I am thankful to live in a time where Sammy Hagar plays music, sings, writes and just kicks Rock and Rolls ASS
Sam made Van Hagar a force of nature and when Sam left he continues to this day to be a force of nature and left the brothers in the dust . Cant stop a force of nature ..Cant stop Sammy Hagar .
he is above all that an entertainer i saw him at the texas jam with styx headlining he played every song he had and some zepplin he stayed on stage for an extra hour styx who i loved on the paradise theater tour came out with a mt roboto video that was like 30 minutes long at 1:30 or 11:30 it didnt matter we all left sammy blew them off the stage i have never seen anything close to that except when i saw rik emmit play a solo till like 1;00 am in the same houston colesiem
Of course, I was being facetious - my post was around the time Eddie made some comment in an interview saying that there was a video camera in the studio so Ed could record the bass and mike could learn what bass riffs to play.
Hager is so awesome!! Just before he does the solo at the end, he pulled of the A chord and threw the whole band out of tune. The look on his face as he pulled it out of a nose dive is great!!! Love the Red Rocker!!!
This needs to be released on DVD & CD this is amazing.

Agreed - and his buddy Brad Delp/Boston (R.I.P. Brad) is the other best voice ever in Rock.

Remember Sammy with Montrose,Rock the Nation,Bad Motor Scooter
Good shit
I think I see Eddie in the background behind the drum set showing Mike what notes to play on the bass.
Why would he need Ed to tell him how to play the bass on something that wasn't a VH song? He would need to talk to Bill "Electric" Church.
