I have a possible fix! usually it is caused by a small rubber part that fell off of the sensor that directs the light fell off. I think sometimes thicker material that gets stuck will rub it off. However in your case I see no light at all so I would suspect a burnt out light, a wire or something like that. I have videos of a fix on my channel for a cricut maker. It was not an easy fix.
not really i have a brand new one this is my 3rd, after first getting the red light of death and another one just dying this one does not pick up the guide line I think im done need to find a new brand that also cuts larger images, any ideas?

Mine did the exact same thing. Stops at exactly the same spot as yours. They told me my sensor isn’t working. I can see it’s working it’s something else wrong too many of these machines have the same thing wrong
Had the same issue too that happened the first time I started using my explorer 2. I had a project to cut 14 pages and it stopped on the 7 page and cut it wrongly. Tried another page and started receiving this message. Tried the charpie trick and it didn’t work for me. Is there another way to solve this issue?
@@dianechoudja2035 no never figured it out so I bought a Vagabond n sold my Cricut. They have too many problems. Also it goes through blades fast. After 3 cuts they r dull. I’m glad I went to the vagabond way better results I won’t go back to cricut
