Completely agree! My dad didn't go to the dentist for 10 years and when he went back the only thing he needed was to replace a fake tooth he had bc it had yellowed so it was completely optional. And that's when I decided dentists weren't super necessary unless you have an obvious problem.

Regarding your debit card being declined. I was out of town on a business trip at dinner and I when I tried paying for my meal my bank thought it was a fraudulent purchase, and locked up my card. I had to ask a friend to cover for me. I was so embarrassed. I had to go to the nearby branch the next day and withdraw cash to repay him. Since then I have a secured credit card which it solely for that sort of situation.
Cats are dope, they are like roommates. I think the main problem is when you have so many pets that it’s really hard for a significant other to fit in the picture. Most people want shared responsibility not the “this is my dog” and “this is my cats”

I have enough cash to pay them off, but I choose not to for security. The small 2% interest is CHEAP insurance. Here’s and example- I made an error at work and had to pay $92,000 that day to fix it. Fortunately, I wrote a check and covered it. I don’t mind my car payment, especially since a couple thousand a month I don’t even see.

Can I critic for a minute how Ramsey always focuses on the monetary side of giving? We live paycheck to paycheck and do not tithe currently, but we do give of our time and talent regularly. I serve on the church's women's committee and orchestrate the schedule for cleaning the church. If there is a need and we have a little extra at that time we will contribute, but there are others ways to serve and be generous besides just money.
TY for your service. I feel called to give money beyond the tithe as a spiritual gift per se and so so value people who give their time! There are many parts to the body of Christ and we all have different gifts.

Bing card being declined is a beach flag or so often that the bank declined me on the first try and I have to respond by text that yes it is me using the card because of their fraud level that’s crazy. Get this George, every time I go to the Apple stores my card is declined until I say yes it’s me and I have to have the transaction processed again.
My parents would RARELY use a credit card, so when my mom would occasionally go out shopping and try to use it the credit company would flag it as stolen, it would be declined and she would have to call and say, yes I am using this card. So there are other reasons cards will be declined.
Time for you and your family to follow the Ramsey plan and get rid of that sucker. The CC telling you and your parents no is basically Dave speaking through them and telling y'all not to use your CC anymore.

If my card is declined, it's because I'm in a foreign country and my bank completely ignored the fact I told them where I was going and when and flagged it as fraud.
I feel like if I tell them I’m traveling they flag it more often than if they think I’m home and it’s used on the other side of the country lol
