    Don't take caffeine in any form, it will increase migraine, speaking from my personal experience. Meditation, exercise and good food help a lot, along with taking rest in a dark room.

      Caffeine can have different effects for different people. Some people it helps a lot, to some people it's a trigger.

    I disagree on one thing, when you say to eat foods that are flavored such as chocolate I find that it helps to eat chocolate, because chocolate is known to have sugar and sugar helps relive migraines

      Hi musicnotes, your guess is sometimes right. At most cases sugar triggers migraines and the desire to eat sweet items is one of the symptoms of migraine attack. And caffeine treats migraine only there's a little pain and if it's severe pain caffeine triggers migraine pain into aggressive.

    On which day we have to apply the lavender oil

      I use essential oils, for several years now, and use lavender oil pretty freely, rub some on my palms and or forearms, breathe lavender oil, It is calming and helps in many ways I think. I don't dilute it with olive oil etc, but I do dilute the other essential oils.

    I have around three mi grain es per year. A few days ago one started with the eye flashes as usual whilst I was driving. I pulled in to a layby and took two Ibuprofen as normal expecting that they would clear it up in the normal 30 odd minutes. At this time my hay fever was making my eyes sore so I immediately got out my battery operated two-pronged Red Light Therapy nose treatment and started the four minute cycle up my nose and within around a minute my left eye zig zags cleared and a couple of minutes later my right eye zig zags cleared also. No headache and no more of mi grain e.
    This was too obvious not to associate the RLT with removing my Migraine as the Ibuprofen had not had nearly enough time to assist.
    Make of this what you will but these little RLT machines can be sourced cheaply on line and, for me, replaced hay fever drugs completely a couple of decades ago with no side effects at all.
    For my next Migraine I will try the RLT first to see of it works drug free, meantime why not try it yourself even in desperation perhaps? I hope this helps someone.

    I get migraine with aura visual distburance without headache, but years ago I did have the terrible pain. I have to avoid MSG, nitrates in processed meats, aged cheese (soft cheese like Havarti is okay), and particularly to avoid soy which is in almost processed breads, cereals, cakes, cookies. So I eat a lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, plain fresh meats. New term Excitoxin applies to so many foods that include additives! Hoping for more help for all of us. I use 3 drops frankincense on my hands, and am reading that 1/4 tspoon of ginger powder in about 10 oz water helps stop it. The rest worked for me yesterday.

      I have the same type of migraine without a headache. It starts after my university exams when I used to wake up till morning and have quite stress. I also get insomnia and loss of appetite. Now I am recovering but not with enough speed. Can you please give me some suggestions to cure my conditions?

    • @maryr7199
      @maryr7199 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'll try to think of what I think helps or doesn't on this. I can eat some chocolate, so moderation, but have noted advice to avoid the dark.@@aasthakoundal5405 Soy is a big culprit for causing the light flashes, stars wiggling in a row for half hour or so. The first one I had, in my very old age, was after sons came for Christmas season and we ate Chinese food, dark sauces, and saw stars for hours off and on, but so scary as I'd never heard of this, had no headache just the stars. I went to my opthalmologist next day and learned that he had similar happen to him from spicy apple cider, and I was told not dangers. Research over past 4 years has led me to avoid SOY which even affects our hormones, and is in almost all processed foods, sometimes even in ice cream. So I need to avoid MSG, Soy (amino acids are fine for me and help with cooking flavors, "natural flavoring' which can be msg), lots of food additives, the longer the Ingredients list, the more likely one or more of those are not wise for me. Chocolate for me is okay in small amounts, definitely is uplifting. Cook plain unprocessed products, buy the restaurant foods with care once you know what sets it off. Anxiety like you describe at exam time is cited as a cause for sure. Meat makes its own MSG if cooked at too hot a temperature so I add a little water to cook meat patty etc and keep the temperature lower, cook slower. I eat Havarti, a soft cheese, I can eat mild or medium cheddar, cream cheese, other soft "young" types of cheese are okay. I already found that for me, caffeine, 1 cup in the morning left me edgy and caused me to have trouble getting to sleep, so I gave up coffee, but I have noted many say caffeine can sometimes stop a migraine aura without headache fast, but I haven't tried that. Corn cereals, rice, rice cereals, corn chips, seem to be okay, but I can have wheat, oats. I think the list would be cook meat under medium temp, avoid soy for many of us, watch those additives on any processed foods, avoid nitrates in all meats, avoid aged cheese, be aware some say chocolate and caffeine can be a cause for them, watch out for pizza crust or have cauliflower crust, do things that help you relax. I couldn't find bread I trusted the ingredients on until I found dave's killer .... products. Soups and frozen casseroles take some reading if that ingredient list is long. I now take 2 capsules daily of powdered ginger (you can just use 1/8 th teaspoon of ginger from your spice rack, and I rub essential oil Frankincense on my palm daily to avoid. I also started taking Lemon Balm Melissa 2 capsules each day for calming effect. Glad I did not have these problems most of my life! Stop and rest in a dark room for a while. Wishing all the best. Praying that you find those trigger things.

    When I have headaches, I’m torn about caffeine. Sometimes sleep is the only thing to get rid of it other times I need a coke and Tylenol.
