Curious, I rent and don't like the carpet so I bought a new carpet remnant to go over it. First, I put an edge on it because it isnt 100% wall to wall. So how can i get the bumps and lumps out of it to lie flat? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
you are an oasis of good information and helpful, educationally-styled video gold..........in an ocean of idiots trying to be helpful making long winded horrible videos you are the only one I could find who doesn't give me a headache.
@@B-ch6uk Same thing happened to me in about the same amount of time. Combination of installers possibly not stretching it completely when installing initially and also over time the carpet "relaxes" and stretches out when walked on. Seems to happen with larger areas that get a good amount of foot traffic.
This doesn't look like a DIY job... The contractors the builder hired to install the carpet sucked... All my carpets are somewhat loose. They came in to try to fix it but all they did was use the kick without reinforcing the tac strip.

I need to stretch out humps on a scattered rug placed on carpet 😩
What causes these ripples in carpets?
water damage
@@vanessj22 Hmm. No water damage. What else could it be? Not stretching it while laying it? It's only 4 years old.

How much does it cost to fix it from a professional?
He said, ..."A quick $75!"
