I owned one of the largest rug cleaning companies in the USA I retired in 1995 & sold the company. In my 42 years I never saw a rug that dirty. Dirt is mostly sand which has sharp edges. Over time the sharp edges cut & wear down the fiber of the rug. Any oriental that dirty & old would have no nap (fiber) left. The method these men are using to shampoo the rug is archaic. My cleaning machine was a 16 ft. wide MOR TIME SAVING EQUIPMENT. You fed the rug into the machine which water mixed with detergent spent approx. 2 minutes being washed then the rug was hung in a drying room (100 degree temp.) for eight hours to dry then packed in brown paper & delivered back to the customer. Your way sounds incredibly simple compared to the drenching way. I wondered how they could keep rubbing and rubbing without losing any of the threads! Изумительная чистота! У меня есть ковер из щерсти верблюда,ярко красный со сложным рисунком,привезенный в 1953году из Средней Азии,из Самарканда. Ручная работа ,размер 1м20см на 2метра,ворс 3см,тяжелый такой. Где он только у нас не лежал:на кухне,в прихожей,в спальнях детей,стираем его раз в год:вручную,в машинке,мойкой высокого давления со стиральным порошком. СЛЕДОВ ИЗНОСА НЕТ!!! Это просто чудо какоето. Тогда же привезли одеяло полосатое из верблюжьей шерсти ,полтора на два метра,прошло 70лет и оно уплотнилось конечно,но краски яркие и оно не потертое даже,мой отец,мой сын и я играли на нем. Знали какой то секрет старые мастера Востока и душу вкладывали даже для чужих людей. Моя бабушка вынесла из горящего дома 10месячного сына соседей,ей подарили это в приданое,на свадьбу.
У соседа старый ковер лежит на улице перед гаражом, не первфый год. Очевидно, его не жалко. Но я полагаю, если его хорошо почистить, он будет иметь все равно плохой вид, с прорехами и т.п.
В 1975 году, в наш дом врезался самолёт. Мы с братом гуляли во дворе. Дом загорелся, мама выбегая из квартиры, схватила сумку и сорвала ковер со стены. Мамы уже нет с нами . Ковер живёт. В те времена ковер был больше , чем просто , ткань. Всем мира добра любви здоровья!

So amazing that after five or six times soaking the carpet and sweeping there was still nasty brown dirt to be washed out. The tight weave of these carpets is designed to withstand being placed upon the ground in nomad's tents, to keep the sand out. You must appreciate the artistry of the weavers who spend thousands of hours clipping each stitch to make the designs. Amazing!

@DaisyLee1963 Cleaning and repairing dirty and broken things only makes sense when precious resources are not being wasted in the process. Using thousands of litres of water to clean an old rug is not a mark of sustainability but of stupidity.

Новый только сотканный ковёр ложились на дорогу и по нему должен был пройти караван верблюдов, а потом его стирали и от этого ковёр становился более ярким и качественным. Вот такая технология. Меня этот рассказ очень впечатлил и мне 62 года и я это запомнила на всю жизнь.
It’s a testament to how well those rugs are made that they can be restored to beauty after so much damage done by that much dirt over so many years. To have that much dirt, I’d almost say it survived a flood. What a beautiful work of art it is once it’s clean
they're not this well made. there's no way a 60 year old carpet is going to withstand this level of abuse. they're scraping the surface over and over again. this is just a fake scenario set up for views.

I was wondering where all that dirt came from. Like, sure... Carpets can get messy, I've dealt with homes from deceased people that have had some issues with cleaning to say the least. But no carpet has been close to being this bad in terms of excess filth. I wish they were honest about that part tho, cus it is still cathartic to watch it get cleaned. Idgaf if they cover it with mud or not first, I just don't like being lied to, haha
You’ve no idea whether that’s true, so don’t say it with such authority, like you were looking over the fence when they did it. He said in another thread some come from outdoors, public places, flood damage, sewer overflows etc.
Im not a carpet specialist but I live in Iran for near 50 years and saw many carpet services. If there is an antique carpet or rug they never wash it like this guy (as far as I know) the methods are so delicate in that way. This washing methode and these super dirty rugs remids the the rugs and carpet wich are not too old but there are dealers which gathered them and put them in the roads and in contact with muds for few days, after washing they look very older and antique and will be exported and purchased in higher prices by europian customers. Of course it is only for original handmade persian carpets like kerman or kashan and yazd carpets.
I am blown away at what I just watched!! You and your entire team are DOCTOR's when it comes to cleaning a rug. In my mind this rug was "deceased", but you did your magic and now life has been brought back into it. Amazed and in total shock of what I just watched.

Можно было долго забавляться с водой и скользить по намыленному ковру. Потом сушить чистоту на вешалах под прекрасным солнцем Узбекистана.

It absolutely worth the time and efforts to wash it. Persian rugs are not made over night. It takes a whole year sometimes longer, depends on the size, to weave a rug like this. They’re very precious! ❤

А секрет в том, что это плюс минус новый ковер, просто испачканный для видео 😂 Ровный рисунок, не выцвел, равномерный, без потертостей и без единой дырки, ни одна ни тока не отгнила. Ну, такого просто не бывает с 50 летним ковром.
@@Whilserбывает... У меня вьетнамский ковер шерстяной ручной работы на полу лежит. Ему лет 40 если не больше. И если его вот так почистить - то будет тоже как новый. Конечно он не так усран, но и чистым его тоже не назовешь :)))
@@julija3697gaisma , я тоже так подумала, поэтому и написала, что в реальной жизни такого грязного ковра не видела. Просто выразилась немного неточно) Но ведь потом они его и моют! А что пачкают -- это понятно: как иначе показать всю эту кропотливую работу? Не будь такого яркого контраста между грязным и чистым -- вся трудоёмкость не была бы так явно заметна. А они эту работу проделывают постоянно, ведь ковры тщательно моют вне зависимости от степени их загрязнения: труд прикладывается такой же. Ребята молодцы и их труд стоит уважения, я считаю! Любой труд заслуживает уважения, просто не все могут продемонстрировать свой труд настолько наглядно, или не могут придумать, как это сделать. Но видео залипательное)

I was wondering where all that dirt came from. Like, sure... Carpets can get messy, I've dealt with homes from deceased people that have had some issues with cleaning to say the least. But no carpet has been close to being this bad in terms of excess filth. I wish they were honest about that part tho, cus it is still cathartic to watch it get cleaned. Idgaf if they cover it with mud or not first, I just don't like being lied to, haha

Im not a carpet specialist but I live in Iran for near 50 years and saw many carpet services. If there is an antique carpet or rug they never wash it like this guy (as far as I know) the methods are so delicate in that way. This washing methode and these super dirty rugs remids the the rugs and carpet wich are not too old but there are dealers which gathered them and put them in the roads and in contact with muds for few days, after washing they look very older and antique and will be exported and purchased in higher prices by europian customers. Of course it is only for original handmade persian carpets like kerman or kashan and yazd carpets.
This seems logical and plausible. I suppose one could call the process"antiquing."

It absolutely worth the time and efforts to wash it. Persian rugs are not made over night. It takes a whole year sometimes longer, depends on the size, to weave a rug like this. They’re very precious! ❤

Оказывается есть такой сервис как мойка ковра водой. А мои соседи говорят, я безнадежно испортила им именно персидский ковер, когда у меня текла вода. Никто не видел их персидский ковер, но имидж мне они создали.

А секрет в том, что это плюс минус новый ковер, просто испачканный для видео 😂 Ровный рисунок, не выцвел, равномерный, без потертостей и без единой дырки, ни одна ни тока не отгнила. Ну, такого просто не бывает с 50 летним ковром.
@@Whilserбывает... У меня вьетнамский ковер шерстяной ручной работы на полу лежит. Ему лет 40 если не больше. И если его вот так почистить - то будет тоже как новый. Конечно он не так усран, но и чистым его тоже не назовешь :)))

А что пачкают -- это понятно: как иначе показать всю эту кропотливую работу? Не будь такого яркого контраста между грязным и чистым -- вся трудоёмкость не была бы так явно заметна.
А они эту работу проделывают постоянно, ведь ковры тщательно моют вне зависимости от степени их загрязнения: труд прикладывается такой же.
Ребята молодцы и их труд стоит уважения, я считаю!
Любой труд заслуживает уважения, просто не все могут продемонстрировать свой труд настолько наглядно, или не могут придумать, как это сделать.
