    Finally, a recipe that claims it's sugar free and DOESNT contain honey. I'm tired of clicking on TH-cam videos only to be disappointed when I see then add heaps of honey or maple syrup.

    1 tsp cinnamon
    Half cup mixins/ nuts (currants, pecans, coconut, etc)
    Pinch of sea salt
    2 large egg whites
    Mix all dry ingredients and mix
    Drizzle the egg whites and mix together
    Line the baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the mixture on the parchment paper

    I made this today and it turned out fabulous. I did a double batch and only had 3 egg whites, but it was enough to coat everything well and get a bit of crunch. I added in 3/4 cup broken pecans and one ounce of dried cranberries and 1 Tablespoon of Apple Pie Spice as my mix ins. I will be making this ALL of the time now. Gonna work on a savory version, this is just so easy! Thank you!

    Oh my goodness! My family is in the process of changing our eating habits and one of my goals today was to try and find a recipe for sugar free granola. (I wasn't sure if there was such a thing) I just sat down to take a peek on TH-cam and this was right at the top of my page and I hadn't even punched in my search yet!! (You can't make this stuff up!) This looks perfect. I am gathering recipes today-tomorrow is cooking day! I will let you know what we think. We have had a rather high sugar diet, so fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing!

    Mary, do you think making this and storing it in a Mylar bag w oxygen absorber would be a good addition to the 2 week emergency food supply? I’ve made this before and it’s so good!

    • @MarysNest
      @MarysNest  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi LeeAnn, That's a great question. I'm not sure about storing this in a mylar bag using an oxygen absorber. I know there are such exact rules when it comes to the O2 absorbers and not sure this granola would be approved. Maybe someone else will chime in. However, that said, I think storing this in an airtight container with a silica gel pack - to help keep moisture accumulation at bay - would work well. Love, Mary
