Hi Christa, Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe - and I love the generous helpings of cinnamon and vanilla! I am SO with you on this!! And yes, I love how you said...a little sweetness is good. Too cute! I am so with you on that too!! And thank you for all the recommendations on how to use as well as store this lovely granola. And most important, I want to thank you for the Bible verse at the end. You always touch my heart with your readings. Thank you! And a very Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year! Love, Mary
This beautiful persona makes me feel like I am at home with mom. Thank you for making this amazing content. I am happy to know that you are consciously making this video with the intention of making someone happy.
I have been making granola for years and give it as Xmas presents. A big hit, I use all kinds of nuts and all kinds of dry fruits. Plus my home made dehydrated banana chips, no sugar. I like with kefir in the morning so good for you.
When we were young newlyweds my only meal-of the-day was raw oat flakes incorporated with butter and a little bit of dark brown sugar. Remember it fondly. Hubbie ate his one meal a day raw cabbage head and still loves slawed cabbage.
This is great! Quite similar to my own recipe. Here's another thing to add from your forever pantry: 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk stirred into your dry ingredients. It adds nutrition and a nice hearty texture. Also, we add a couple of tablespoons sesame seeds as opposed to chia seeds. We just love the flavor! I always cook the liquid ingredients on the stove because I melt 1/4 cup coconut sugar into the butter/oil, 1 TBSP maple syrup and 1 TBSP honey. We don't like it *too* sweet. I love the idea of giving this as gifts! I always make a double batch and this would be easy to package and give as random acts of kindness. Thank you for the idea! God bless you and yours!
Christa, your OUTER beauty matches your inner beauty.. You GLOW. You LOOOOK vibrantly healthy and you have a gentleness in the way you talk & "teach" WOW... great. all along with awesome directions to make this great granola. Haven't made any myself YET, but that's why I'm here to learn & perfect MY version. ( considering walnuts (which are chewy, but not as hard as almonds) and possibly APPLESAUCE along with some raisins .... then adding fresh bananas in the bowl with milk as a GREEEEEAAAAT breakfast. THANK YOU ... Thank you Thank you. PEACE
This looks so easy and yummy! Has anyone added walnuts? All kinds of combinations are swimming in my head. Hahaha. Thank you for the how to and the beautiful scripture! God bless you, have a wonderful Christmas! See you next year. 😃
What's so wonderful about this... for those of us who have all but forgotten the joy of foods made from scratch, this is a great re-introduction. As you're describing and adding each ingredient, I'm already thinking of yummy variations, too.
Just finished a batch of your granola, I used dried cherries and dried blueberries and this is the BEST granola I have ever tried, love it. Next time I'm doubling the recipe. And I'm gonna plant sweet potatoes in bales. I've grown them for years, but there miniature compared to yours. Thanks so much
You are my Favorite TH-cam Channel. I feel your heart is sincerely seeking God's Will in your life and I Love that. I look forward to watching your videos and listening to scriptures you share. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
May I share ? Cook oats with finely diced potatoes , diced beans, diced garlic . 2. Season it with Salt . 3. Heat a small pan on low heat. Add oil / clarified ghee . To it add coarse black pepper + turmeric + any herb or herbs of your choice . Pour this hot seasoning to the Hot cooked oats AND stir well . You can add pumpkin seeds or a table spoon of cooked lentils / beans . You can swap any vegetables of your choice to make it *yours* - It makes a *savory* oatmeal .
I am...intrigued by your offering here. To...clarify, however: you are (as you've stated..."makes a savory oatmeal") talking about an...OATMEAL versus granola, right? Otherwise..."interesting"?
Thank you for all the wonderful information that you provide to all your subscribers as well as all the words of kindness. That granola looks so delicious. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. Also, God Bless You All As Well...
I have made several batches of this. It is delicious! I eat it as a nutritional cereal. It doesn't get soggy! I have experimented with different nuts and even added a little almond flavoring. The possibilities are endless, not to mention so very easy and quick to make!
Thank you so much for sharing everything you do! I love to watch your videos because I always learn something I didn't know before. I home schooled our sons for a total of 18 years and greatly enjoyed being able to research and learn better ways of doing things. But I now work full time and help with my awesome grandchildren , so I do not have the time to research things like I used to, so your videos are so rejuvenating to my soul!! And thank you for the wonderful WORD you share at the end!! :-) I do have one question - where did you get those beautiful baking sheets?? Love and Blessings to you and your family! I have to say that you are a Sister in the Lord that I am looking forward to meeting in Heaven one day!! Praying God's richest Blessings to each of you! :-)
I'm making a batch today using sour-dried-cherries and slivered almonds. I can't wait to try this. Thank you and bless you so much for all you are imparting from your life and families lives...
Came across this today cause i want to make my own granola. Yours sounds so delicious and will probably leave out the coconut cause my husband cannot eat it but will add date bites and dried cherries. Thank you for posting.
I just found your channel the other day and have been watching many videos. Thanks to this one, today I made 3 batches of granola. Raisin cinnamon, cocoa w/chocolate chips and peanut butter brown sugar using PB Fit. My 6yo grandson declared that they were delicious. Lol I put some in my kitchen pantry and vacuumed sealed 3-1/2 gallon jars for the food storage room.
Wonderful wonderful recipe! God bless you dear sister, how much I long to live closer to you to be able to visit you in person. Merry Christmas, God bless you and your family abundantly 🌹
I like mine with dried weasel elbows and walrus pemmican. Merry Christmas!! 🤪 And just so you know, I’ll be making my FIRST batch (with almonds, without coconut) soon. If it actually lasts long enough for me to get a taste, I’ll let you know how it turned out. Hm. Maybe if I just SAID it had weasel elbows in it...
I love oatmeal and eat it all the time..so many benefits for your health...I haven't tried the granola your way with the Maple syrup, but now I will because it sounds yummy... Have a Merry Christmas, Christa...and Blessings in the New Year!...
i thought that i had met all of the SWEET people in his world, boy was i wrong. May the good lord wrap his loving arms around you and your family. Merry Merry Christmas!!
I toast oats and sliced almonds in a large pan on top of the stove, then mix with cinnamon, coconut flakes, raisins and cranberries with a drizzle of maple syrup in a bowl that has a cover. I eat it with almond milk and I I may add fresh blueberries or bananas. Delicious.
Once again, a grand presentation, Ms. Christa! You are truly blessed and very much appreciated. The Merriest of Merry Christmas's to you and yours. (As for me, I would burn boiling water)! LOL. - Pa Joe
Yes! I have been wanting to make Granola for some time! Phenomenal! Hugs to you too! I have raisins and apricots, and will substitute sunflower seeds; I have the rest. I'm curious about how it would taste with ginger and how much I would use?
Thank you so much for this recipe, I’m making it right now. I’m with you on the extra all you mentioned! The only thing I would change is to add the dried fruit after it is baked. I once made granola and the fruit was a bit over cooked for my taste. My favourite breakfast with yogurt and fresh fruit.
I can eat my weight in granola! Lol! But it is soo expensive! I love the granola bars with popped quinoa in them, so I would probably add that if I have it on hand. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe! I have wanted to make granola for a while but have always failed in the past. I'm definitely going to try your version! Looks so easy and so delicious! God bless Christa!

Do you mix butter with oil or just butter OR oil?

If you like savory oatmeal, my sister told me to put in chopped boiled eggs, add salt and pepper; just wonderful!!!
This looks amazing. I'm going to add this to my list to make. God bless you, keep doing what you're doing.
Thank you, John, I will!
Looks delicious! Looking forward to making this! Merry Christmas and God Bless!

I roast my oats in honey and olive oil. Mix the other ingredients together and when oats are cooked I mix it all together.
That does look good !!!
Merry Christmas, and may the Lord Bless you and yours !!!
Love those cookie sheets, please share where you found them ?
I find if I use the roasted siagon cinnamon , I hardly need any sugar. It's the best on fresh strawberries.
Recipe sounds delicious! So glad you showed us the brake bleeder method. I love using it.
Hope you and yours have a blessed and merry Christmas!!
