This is a project I've been doing for 3 months at least, and in preparation I read every review I could and even watched the film 4 times. I greatly enjoyed making this project, and for now if you guys want another one of these kinds of review... well you're in luck. I made one just like this for Hyouka a couple of years ago I'll link here. Also while we're here I'll be doing more of these in general, I'm going to take a break between each of these but expect a couple of these every year or so for now.
I still would love to see the fate route in better quality whether that be ufotable or a different studio i just wanna see shirou and saber's relationship adapted correctly/accurately he didn't really get to have a relationship other than master and servant in Heaven's feel kinda like how you mentioned rin
Apparently Nasu said he'd like to go back over it and re-write some things as he felt the original VN had some problems that were nagging him. Which if true I am fine with that, I just want to see what he'd come up with for a romance between Saber and Shirou today. And I imagine Ufotable is probably tired of doing Fate, so get someone else to do it, I see no issues.
As soon as I see it I'll start putting pen to paper. Honestly, I thought this video would release and kinda flop... but surprisingly (at least for a channel of my size) it didn't. So I'm very grateful for that.
22:27 and yet it is still one of the best fights of the entire franchise. That just tells everything about their talent, even in the occasional moments where ufotable makes bad or noticeable CG, they still make the best fights and best animations
In my opinion I think the correct order to is Fate/Zero, Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven Feels Part 1-3 movies and then Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files Velvet Weaver spin-off series. I don't really count the 2006 Fate/Stay Night in the canon continuity because UBW is a remake to actually continue the story of the prequel Zero and make it flow much better. I think the films are more of a what-if story and UBW is actually a straight sequel to Zero since they reference pretty much what happen in the prequel....I don't really think Shuiro is selfish. He been raised by his adoptive father to be a hero and look out for other people instead of herself all the time. His friend and Rin warn him that people may take advantage of that.
The Heaven's feel trilogy, was Amazing!!!! I still love the love interest from F/SN 2006, where Shirou and Saber (Artoria), appeared almost as star-crossed lovers!! But holy fuck was King Hasan was a fucking beast!!!
One of my theories for why this Fate route is the darkest, especially with Sakura, is because of Zouken's survival in this universe. I believe that Zouken had possibility been killed some time after the events of Fate/Zero in the UBW and original Fate universes, thereby preventing Sakura from enduring more hardships in the worm pit and her physical/sexual abuse from Shinji, as someone new would have taken over the role as the head of the family. But because he was never killed, it ended up leading towards different outcomes. It's the one detail I noticed in the other two shows, as he never shows up.
That makes sense, though not that you should watch the first film but oddly enough... never felt there was cliffhanger in the first film. That's just me, so others may feel differently.
I appreciate the time you took to explain this movie cause I hated it compared to all other fate shows. In my defense I assumed that this was a movie that goes from start to finish, not a to be continued.
Oh okay, thank you for the correction. I went over this a couple times, but didn't have anyone who knew their Fate to really correct some of my errors like that. So I'm glad someone was able to clear it up here, I appreciate it.
Fate is such a mixed bag with all the routes. Some stuff great, some weird and convoluted. This film was pretty meh. Deffo a lot of quality went into this movie. Which I can appreciate. But overall this was mostly very boring to me. Outside of art and music. I felt the character development was really weak imo. But that being said. If your a Fate fan go for it. I'm more a casual anime based fate anime fan. I'll continue on with the films. But I hope it improves as it goes on.

Isnt the "Eating scene" between Kyrei and Shirou also blunt in the VN? Isnt that the joke of the whole scene?
