  • This video reviews my 16' Lamar Goosneck Dump trailer. This trailer brand is first class and we show why Lamar should be on the top of your list when making a trailer purchase.

    Omg I love this dude.... “people can’t borrow it because they don’t have a gooseneck.”
    anyone who has a bumper pull trailer knows exactly what he is talking about...!!!!

    I had my heart set on a PJ gooseneck 16ft. But after watching your video, Lamar has my vote now! Thanks man....

      I think PJ used to make a good trailer but I have heard they have cut cost out and well that just doesn't help the quality. Really happy with my Lamar

      I’ve seen too many rusty PJ (& newer Big Tex) trailers. My 2016 Big Tex has bulletproof paint, but they’re cutting corners putting low quality paint jobs on current models. Not a show stopper, but why deal w/ this additional maintenance chore when other brands still do it right.

    After watching your video I just ordered my 16' gooseneck dump trailer with 36" sides, and 8K axles. I live an hour east of San Diego but had to order it through a dealer in Phoenix. It'll take four weeks to build but I'm excited about the drive to pick it up. 🙂 Thank you for the great review! 👍🏼🙏🏼

    Thanks for the video and information. I did get my 16' Lamar gooseneck trailer. I was caught between the 14' and the 16' and of course the gooseneck vs the bumper pull. This video helped me make my decision. It was already what i was thinking, but once i was able to verify what I was thinking was accurate, I pulled the trigger. Thanks!

    Nice trailer. Helpful video. Low profile is a plus. Incomplete welds, especially where the sides meet the bottom, will likely lead to future rust (in the gaps between the welds) unless you store your trailer inside. Not a show stopper, but keep your paint handy. Just add this to your equipment maintenance checklist. You have a 5th wheel, so you’re already familiar with regular maintenance. Completely agree that once you get a gooseneck / 5th wheel you will rarely go back to a large bumper pull.

    Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video and review. I'm currently in the market for the exact same Lamar dump trailer. Out of curiosity, do you know what your clearance is between your truck bed rails and the bottom of the gooseneck? Also, do you happen to know your bed rail height without the trailer? My 2019 pick up has a bed rail height of 59'' wear as my 2002 was 56'' and the reason for my concern with clearance. Thanks again, for the great video,

    thanks for the review. I was looking at a BP Lamar 7x16 or a DiamondC but am going to go back and look at some GN versions. I pull a 5th wheel RV so have to see if there is an adapter to support a GN

      If you want to order a really good dump trailer with a telescopic lift, Diamond c is the way to go. If you just want to buy a trailer off the lot, Lamars are really nice. They are built very well and have a lot of features for the for the price range they're in.

    What weight did you chose for the goose neck? 25k 2-5/16 coupler or the 30k 2-5/16 adjustable? I as well have a B&W goose neck hook up in my truck when I bought it and I’ve been thinking about adding a big dumper to my arsenal for work. I’m leaning to the 30k to cover myself. I’ll have to call and talk to Lamar one of these days.

    What happened to the jack stands on the end of your trailer to keep IT from raising your truck up off the ground ????

    You should consider adding our Atlas Hydraulic Jacks as an upgrade for those crank jacks! Makes unhooking the trailer breeze whether it's loaded or not.

      @@stillwell1863 how much extra fluid would you need to run a pair of those to full extention? I'm wondering if you could extend them and still operate the dump.

    • @stillwell1863
      @stillwell1863 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@68spc a half gallon of fluid should be more than enough to operate the jacks and the dump at the same time. Just be sure that the fluid level does not drop below the snorkel otherwise you will suck air into the system.
