I really like this trailer. I opted for the scissor lift as I was worried I’d hit the telescope cylinder with an excavator stick and boom. I have a short of it dumping a load of concrete.
@@Flokiboys you’d have to check with your landfill. I know in my state anything over 10k GVWR requires permits from the landfill. If it was only for junk removal I’d look at one of the high side models.
I'd run a router with a roundover bit along the top inside edge of the side boards to prevent splinters from catching and ripping the tarp..I'd also do both sides of the shorter front board that the tarp goes over..looks good
Good idea, however I haul a lot of tree debris so I knew the tarp was gonna tear at some point. The boards end up taking a bit of damage from debris and loader arms so I’d be running the router often.
3 1/2” carriage bolts IIRC. hind sight I’d have put the round end inboard and ground off the excess. Best of luck with your trailer, mines been great so far!
Nice video! Lamar makes a nice trailer.
Thanks! I’ve been happy with it so far.
Just got the same trailer but since we haul broken up concrete we got the telescopic dump and it has no limit. Lamar is really top of the class!

@@GrassRootOutdoorWorkis your truck a diesel or gas?
@@Flokiboys it’s a diesel.
Would that be a great trailer for junk removal?

I’m looking into either this same Lamar or a Load trail thanks for sharing!
Lamar had standard features that were add ons for other brands I was looking at. The 7ga steel, 2 way doors, power up and down are some of them.

love it!
Thanks! It’s been a really great purchase so far.
I like to run the stake all the way to the top and cut at a 45 degree angle. It gives it a finished look.
I’ll see how they look after a year and seeming gonna make any changes. That’s an idea though.
Great video. I just bought the same trailer. Do you remember what size carriage bolts you used?

Flip the board end for end, cut once.
I was avoiding knots on both ends.
Just a day in the heat working on equipment.
What kind of wood did you use. Is it treated or cedar wood?
I went with treated. I wanted to keep the cost low incase I ended up needing to replace them often.
How do you secure it to dump? When lifting the bed is there a risk of it coming off?
The stake pockets hold it in.
