World's 1st Manual C8 Corvette Drift Car - Anderson Carbon Parts & Liberty Walk Widebody Kit - Ep. 7

- In this episode, we make huge progress! We got these awesome carbon fiber doors and dry carbon roof from Anderson Composite. Everything needs a little bit of modifying to make room for the roll cage that Cage Kits is building.
Next up was one of the most exciting parts of the build for me. We got the full C8 Corvette Liberty Walk widebody kit that will look perfect with the rest of the Anderson Composite parts! The fit, packaging and everything about this kit so top tier!
The excitement is really starting to build!!

The fitment on the Liberty Walk kit seemed pretty spot on!! For a Drift cart it's perfect; for a regular car it looks like minimal changes would need to be made.
I think you put the wing backward (?) The thicker leading edge is supposed to be at the front and tapered to thinner cross section towards the back
It needs center mounted exhaust!

Use rampovers in your trailer like the dirt late model cars use. Will gain you the extra width you need in the trailer as well as make it much easier to tie the car down

Super cool kit! Excited to see an actual liberty walk kit on this. I also think the Street Hunter kit would’ve been dope. They’re based in CA too, plus I bet you anything they would’ve made you a full carbon OR Kevlar kit. Something to think about in the future. You’re tight with LZ, and he’s best friends with the owner of Street Hunter. TJ Hunt. I’m glad you’re the first person to do the c8 drift build. Wouldn’t be right if it wasn’t you, considering your first c6 build.

lol you guys put the wing on backwards. wings are shaped like curved rain drops (the most aerodynamic shape i the world) the fat round part goes forward, the thin sharp edge goes rear ward. just like an airplane wing.

With the white gel coat, the rear bumper almost looks like the front clip of a Camaro. Or dare I say a Lamborghini uris.

Such a sick build. Be interesting to see if the weight bias of the rear engine changes up your driving style at all, or do you think you guys can bring some the weight upfront with the cooling system, etc to even it out a bit?
The goal is to shoot for 50/50. After laying a ton of things out I think we will be closer to 45/55 and with that I got no clue how she will transition! Haha

Seeing Matt come to the realization that the car is too wide for a trailer and have that look on his face, feels alot like he was working out in his head how hard it would be to get a custom trailer made😂

Interesting to see if you do anything in the front to add/remove weight similar to the Dubai guys pink Porsche drift car how he fabbed the front end to be able to add or remove actual weights
We are trying to pack as much as possible up there, and we will always have the ability to add weight and keep it low, hope the car is light enough to need the weight!

Besides the flair factor of the LB kit, is it worth it in a sport that blows bumpers on the regular? Why not run factory fiberglass with like a streethunter widebody kit? Ease of getting parts and the cost savings.
I’m sure when it comes down to it LB will make me a carbon one

I just keep thinking of how a mid engine car is going to drift and be competitive in FD. The weight bias might play a big role. It's such a sick car I hope you will be able to figure it out!

It’s a helftech. A Swiss company that I saw was in the drift force cars. They were so nice I had to get one for myself

Anderson Composite always makes poo poo fitting products. Always a pain in the butt working with their stuff
I couldn’t disagree more actually haha all my experience is with c6 parts and now the c8. Literally everything has fit perfect for me so far. I do always have aftermarket fenders and stuff so a bit of adjusting is always normal for my stuff. Sucks you experienced that, maybe older molds? :/

Not aTJ Hunt fan at all but, his C8 kit is by far the best looking kit on the market. Liberty walk kit, might just be the ugliest body kit ever produced, for any car. I guess he turned down giving you free parts 😂😂. I would have turned you down as well.
