- This episode features updates all across the car! We cover everything from the HGK carbon fiber door inserts, carbon dash, getting measurements for some top secret stuff from Wilwood and working on some custom radiator fabrication with CAD Chris, this one has it all!

Corvette buyers aren’t the same demographic as drift fans
@@Charlie-Charlot That misses the point. The more GM vehicles racing, the more GM parts they buy, meaning more profits and prestige. It's also great marketing for LS crates. The average Corvette buyer might be 91-years-old, but GM still needs to show the car in action.

Unfortunately the EPA is doing everything in their power to put an end to this.
@mquin359 Right. Dodge, Porsche and BMW all sell BiW's to motorsports teams. Also, there's already a COPO Camaro, so why not a COPO Corvette?
@mquin359 I know Toyota did provide Papadakis Racing with a BiW for Aasbo's Supra and Ryan's GR Corolla. It's just a matter of having that factory support. No surprise that GM is asleep.

Love the progress but really don’t like the c6 dash. Was really looking forward to what you were gunna make happen with the c8 dash and center console
The oem dash is a nightmare! About 23 pieces 😂😂 but a carbon one would be epic
@@mattfield777 Atleast keeping the center console? Looked like you could have a wicked keypad in it. Although making the hydro and shifter fit would be a pain too 😅
use some wax on your burr when grinding anything aluminum it keeps the flights from getting bunged up . 11:36

@@mattfield777 Yes. You can also use engineers chalk on files when using them on aluminum.
the part that hurts me the most. is that inevitably, somehow this car is gonna be scraping walls, hitting cars, and off-roading at the track. 😢

Matt, why are you cutting those $4k doors for door bar pockets before you even have a cage built? I love this build, but I don’t understand why you’re trying to put all this old C6 crap on a C8.
Cause it's still carbon fiber. It's lighter.
Hes gonna 3d scan the car for the cage so its a perfect fit. No measuring no guessing. Just weld

Haha yea exactly. Cut the doors out, put in a pocket, 3d scan, build the cage in CAD, make it fit perfectly to the door pockets
