I did that but then I go into Fallout and my right stick works and x and o work but L3 brings up the keyboard and the left stick won’t make me move. I go to controller settings and it won’t let me change the movement to my left stick or any other controls. Doesn’t make sense

if i edit a dual sense controller edge in ds windows,from what app will steam read it? I play a sport game,calibrate the controller in Ds but i dont know if playing via steam my settings are overriten by steam input. On ds windows i set red RGB and on steam i set a green color to check which is used in game and mostly its green..does it mean steam dosent detect my settings from ds windows?
if the controller isn’t being found. First connect it to your bluetooth. Then right click on the game you want to play the game with controller with inside steam library. Go to properties, then controller, then make sure the drop down tab says ENABLE STEAM INPUT. Worked for me.

My Steam Link doesnt find my new PS5 controller. It flashes rely fast in blue, but the steam link doesnt find it. With a Cable on the controller its no problem. Any ideas? The Steam Link has blue tooth? Or do i need a dongle?

i have problem because pc no longer wants recognize my ps4 controller even when in past it was working without single issue with bluetooth...
everything happend after i upgraded pc it was cpu,motherboard,ram upgrade
i went from i5 10400f,32gb ddr4 ram, MSI B460 Mortar WiFi to ryzen 7 7700x,32gb ddr5 ram,MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI and gpu stayed same which was rtx4060ti 16gb. best thing i manage to achieve is pc oinly recognize some controller connected to pc but my light on ps4 controller still stays light blue and dont work with anything games or stuff.... but controller is working wired fully but bluetooth somehow dont want work i tried update with one app as many drivers as possible but still nothing. DS4 app dont want pick up bluetooth too so i am completly stuck and i wouldnt brick controller because i literally used it like 2 days before changing my pc parts

@ChupacabraTutorials with DS4, do we need to keep the DS4 windows open to play or can just close it after install everything?
Keep the window open while you want to use your controller. By default closing the window doesnt turn off the program, just minimizes it to your system tray.

@@itzyuzu97 well, if you're using steam because you're commenting on a steam tutorial, you don't need DS4 windows when you're using steam. Otherwise, if you're just using DS4 windows as your primary set of drivers then yeah you need to leave the window open
@@ChupacabraTutorials yea i am using steam, i just tried DS4 with steam cause my wireless keeps getting cutted off
@@itzyuzu97 if the wireless is breaking that might just be there's something wrong with the type of wireless you're using in your machine. There's not really a great way around that unless you want to try an alternate Bluetooth device or just plugging it in
Does anyone know how to fix in-game settings for example I reinstalled Steam after factory resetting my PC I downloaded the master Cheaf collection and in-game I can't jump it makes me run all button are the one command
during the Controller Test in Steam if the left, up, and right D-pad buttons aren't registering, but they do register when hooking the controller to a ps4, what should I do? is it a driver issue, new steam update issue, or what? anyone has an idea?
edit: actually, these 3 buttons themselves, don't work since my other DS4 controller works fine with steam. so i think i have to open the controller and clean it or something.

The input device and calibration testers won't even open their respective pop ups for me 😤
When I try to play MK11 it still shows Xbox Controller Buttons which is a huge problem for a game that focuses on Combos, do you know how to fix something like that?
Aside from the toggle at the top of the controller settings that offers to try to do it, that's about all you can do. There's no real good, reliable way to do that.

@@A7oub, yeah but there’s a downside, if you turn off the controller inputs for the game and plug in the controller it will put in the inputs for whatever controller your using, the problem with that is you can’t play via Bluetooth that way

I have a problem with my ps4 controller and I need help. So basically I recently bought myself a new ps4 controller because the old one broke, the old controller worked perfectly fine. Nothing was wrong and everything worked from the second I connected it. As an example, I play Batman Arkham Knight on Steam, Steam automatically knew I used this controller and so when I went into Batman Arkham Knight I instantly had the Ps4 layout and everything was working. Now I have this new controller (Which is a original ps4 controller I want to add) and the pc is completely screwing me over. First of all, the controllers gets deteced as an audio device and stays under the section audio. It fucked up my headsets but i was able to fix that. However, its still saved underneath the section audio and even if I remove and readd it, it goes right back to audio and even ruins my headsets again so that I have to deactivate the audio again. Now moving forward to steam, steam cannot find my controller. When I go into Batman Arkham Knight the game doesn't recognize any controller and doesn't display the ps4 layout. When i go into steam and use the Controller overlay option then I'm faced with the Xbox layout for the game. I know you can turn that off by deactivating it via the controller settings on the game itself. But when I do that, then I cannot use the controller again. I don't know what to do and I can't find any real solution that helps. Even using the Software DS4Windows doesn't seem to work or find my controller. So what can I do?

how do you get the audio to play through your headphones instead of playing through the PlayStation 4 controller?
The controller has a speaker in it. When you plug new speakers into windows it tries to default to that. Go into your system settings and set it back to your headset or whatever you normally use as your default audio device. Fixed.
can you do a hardreset with a scuff controller because it still wont detect...driving me insane

My controller connects, works for a bit. And then doesnt connect anymore. I have no clue what coul be causing it. Im trying Bluetooth comnections because wired connects it to my PCs audio and i cant hear anything from my headphones.

Connect it however you want. I just have a pre existing Bluetooth guide so didn't feel the need to add it to this.
bro i did everything u did except that when i tried to plug in my controller the game rumble feature didnt pop up, basically i did everything its just that my steam doesnt recognise it
Strange. You could try hard resetting the controller and seeing if that helps.

@@sargentmauzer1550 To do that check the back of your controller and there should be a little hole near one of the screws, get a paperclip and hold the button inside the hole for some time and thats it
I dont have the option to toggle on steam input for playstation controllers for some reason, not entirely sure why?

@ErsanYzn Turned out my PC didn't have a built in Bluetooth option so I bought a USB Bluetooth connector and connected my controller to that. The option popped up afterwards if I remember correctly

Thats... Odd if it was working before. But in general when I have that problem with any of the controllers Ive got. I tell the computer to forget the controller if you use bluetooth. Then reset the controller, and do a fresh setup. Just to make sure.

Gyro shows up in the test window on steam. I assume it works but can't say if it works in specific games

if it shows up on steam it should work. Note that the main way this and other drivers for the PS4 controller work is by pretending to be an Xbox Controller. I know theres some ways to make it display as a PS4 controller on screen, but those methods often break things so that they dont work super great when you actually try and play the game. If thats not the issue you're having, then I suggest removing your PS4 controller from your computer and trying the process again. You might also run Steam as admin and see if that changes anything.

No if you have it setup with bluetooth you can just use it wireless.

you would have to reset your controller by pressing a tiny button through a small hole on the back for 5 seconds
Hard reset it first. Hole on the back you press a pin in for 12seconds. Then it won't do that
