I need help, when I’ve connected my laptop s5 controller and set up dx4 windows and all that, when i start rocket league none of the buttons work except the touchpad on the controller any solutions for the problem

Hi there! Looking forward to get assist from you regarding controller setup. I use Steam Input right now to make DS4 work, but face with Gyro issue - 0 point changes while using Gamepad. I try to play racing games with Gyro but after some time Gyro is unable to keep a persistant center of orientation so to keep going forward I have to hold Controller, let's say, at 45°. If I pause the game, go to Steam settings and re-calibrate Gyro - it has correct 0°, but it takes it about 3-5 minutes to get broken again. Could you advise please what should be done to fix that or whether there is no such issue using DS4Windows. I did not do much of the settings for controller in Main Steam Controller settings and in Game Controller settings. All I have there is: - Playstation Controller support - enabled (I use DS4 controller); - Gyro behavior - Joystick; - Output Axis - Horizonal only; - Dead Zones - off; - Gyro Pitch Neutral Angle - 0°.
Basically, every game you play will always show xbox controls by default if you dont go to the "others" tab and dont set the virtual controller to PS4, but even if you change it, some games will not show it as PS4 controls, only Xbox, and you really cant do anything about that, so just learn the xbox controls and label them correspondingly in your mind and just enjoy the game, dont worry about minor stuff like this

Is there a soluttion for following : When I connect dualshock 4 via usb I can use ps4 button layout in games, however when I connect it via Bluetooth games do not recognize ps 4 layout and I have to switch back to Xbox 360 layout from ds4

You can connect it however you can get it working. PS4 controllers run on 2.1 bluetooth version, and ps5 runs on 5.1. The newer the bluetooth device in your computer, the better. They are backwards compatible.
It connects but when i play games like gta 5 and forza horizon 5, when i click a button such as moving the left joystick up, it moves forword but also brings up the phone in gta 5. Same with forza, when im turning the car it also looks to the way i move the joystick. Someone please help.
@ i just found it yeah, btw for some reason when in gta 5 i cant aim unless i stand still and on mouse i can aim immediately while sprinting do you maybe know how to fix that
ig getting the controller connected has never been the problem for me. its that the sensitivity and controls are laggy and dont work sometimes. and my sensitivity even wehen cranked to max is still at a snails pace. in r6s i can only ads while im prone too its so strange i just dontg understant why
So I have a brand new PC that can finally support windows 7. I have 2 hard drives 1 running win 10 one running win 11, same ds4 set up on both disk, same machine. Win 11 disconnects the bluetooth with or without ds4 running after anywhere from 20-150 seconds at random. I cannot figure out how to get the controller to connect in windows 11. I have been playing games on win 10 since the upgrade because the controller just works.. Any advice would help a ton.
Could be Windows opting to disconnect because of some power saving setting someplace. Id check for that. Could also see if theres a specific driver that controls your bluetooth device thats getting updated on 10 but not 11. Googling it it could also be steam drivers conflicting with DS4 Windows. If you're using steam at the same time, you could just use that instead.
@@ChupacabraTutorials Yeah the only clue I got was the steam conflict but I do not use steam. But the bluetooth driver is likely the case. I think that is my best bet atm. Supporting evidence is that on 10 I have to connect with my dongle on 11 it connects through my mother board

Unfortunately it doesn't work with all controllers. I got one from Nacon for the PlayStation. This is recognised by the PC but not by DS4Windows, so I can't set it so that my game doesn't think I have an Xbox controller.
getting a message when i try and launch the game which says "This software cannot be used at the same time as the game. Please make sure it's not running, or restart your PC: Virtual Controller" any work around?
You may end up needing a different driver. Ive recently been shown that some people modded DS4 to run macros allowing people unfair advantage in some shooter games. You can also try DSX, Steams Drivers, Etc.
So I downloaded this only to change the colors on my PS5 controller. While the controller is hooked up to my laptop the colors change as they should but when I plug it up to charge it it’s the same old orange. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to upload the setting into the controller? I’m clicking apply and save each time. Please help.
ro ion know if you know the fix to my problem but ds4 windows keeps identifying my controller to be dead and have zero battery percentage even when i charge it, and the problem gets resolved when i re install ds4's latest version it works as normal. You got any idea on how to fix that?
Is DS4 still working (September 2024)? Never had any issues with the old version I've had for years until today. Seeing online that it may have been discontinued. Is this the fix?
The app talks back and forth with your controller. Open the settings profile. Go to the last tab on the right side. Tell ds4 not to get data back from the controller like battery level. Should help. Search my channel for ds4 lag video for more info.
i saw that the vigem driver had a problem not updating in 2023, i just dowloaded ds4 windows and did the vigem installation from the ds4 installation and got the 1.22.0 version. i think it's fine ?

My main focus for luckily finding someone like yourself who explained this perfectly was an app I could use to force invert my R3 controls where i press up togo down and down togo up(I know im crazy) but im having difficulty finding the settings to optimize these settings. Works great, but when I set lightbar color to black (off) then hit another car or get shot in GTA 4, the lightbar turns back on again 😂. How can I fix this 😢?

Steam support the controller but you need the USB. There's a third party app that must run in the background but can't recall the name

My controllers light lights up when I connect it and Its in device manager but not in ds4windows or inputmapper when I connected it
whenever i change my ds4 prompt from xbox to ps4 it stop vibrating
It has worked for me but after connecting it with a wire there is ni sound and no dual shock
Did they update ds4 to allow wireless with Bluetooth recently?
You can connect the controller either with cable or Bluetooth. I just don't include it in the video to keep it shorter.

Theres not really a good fix for that. Mainly because the PS button layouts in games barely works to begin with.

@ yeah, on steam you have to turn your controller in a mode, i dont remember but there should be videos

i uh have noticed this program does not take much fps from my games when using this unlike x360ce which like reduces 11 fps from most of the games
no matter what i do i cant get sekiro to work with my ds5 and xbox on x controllers while every other game works

Nevermind I figured it out I just clicked the specific movement I wanted emulated and converted it to the "xbox controller" this is an amazing app!

considering the software wont be getting any new updates anymore. Electrical tape across the lightbar is about all you can do.
