I love JJ my favorite qb in this draft. If he goes to Minnesota he's going to be amazing. Mark it.
I agree I think that’s the best landing spot for him, but I’d almost argue that’s the best landing spot for most quarterbacks in this class lol
Yes
Looks like the Vikings agree with you... Love the kid and I wish him well, really hope he succeeds.
If he goes to the vikes he'll be ok. Anywhere else not so sure...
That’s my ideal spot for him to land as well, out of the teams that could actually land him.
I was really expecting the Vikings to wind up drafting Penix but think they got THE GUY by getting JJ. It will be interesting to see where these top 6 QBs from this class are 3-4 years from now with respect to the teams that drafted them and the situation they got drafted into. Can't sleep on Sam Darnold though, the same reasons why JJ is in a great situation for a rookie QB also applies to Darnold who was a #3 pick that had his career derailed because of being drafted into a terrible situation. Darnold could flourish with the Vikings himself and possibly become a high value trade chip by teams with injuries at the QB position once JJ gets coached up. I'm excited to see how all this plays out. PS: Wonderful video!
I appreciate the feedback and I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. I agree with you on your take about Darnold possibly becoming a key trade target for contenders with injuried QB’s. Maybe even a return to the Jets if Rodgers doesn’t pan out or gets injured again. Overall I’m excited to see where this class ends up… the 2021 class was massively hyped up and look how that turned out… only time will tell!
I just wish JJ had went to a team where he woud sit and learn! He should of stayed one more year at Michigan! Don't get me wrong, this kid is a heckuva ball player who can win games with his legs too!!!....but I just feel if he would of been selected by a team where he could sit under a veteran for 2 to 3 years, he would of been brought in the right way rather than a potential disaster that destroys this kid's confidence(which is one of his best attributes)
Yeah I totally agree, I’d really not like to see this dudes confidence get shattered. However it doesn’t seem like he gets effected by many things. I myself thought he should’ve stayed another season though, but I do think the Vikings are the best fit for him to learn and develop. He can also possibly sit behind Darnold for a few weeks!
great video brother🔥 minnesota would be a good fit imo. he can have the opportunity to sit behind a sam darnold, who’s a bridge QB, and learn. He’s a first round talent , but not top 10-15 in my estimation. Keep the content coming!!!🔥
I think Minnesota is probably the best fit for any quarterback coming into the league right now lol. Thank you for the feedback man, I appreciate it! 🙏🏼
@@mitchellmillimaki01 Minnesota is the biggest sleeper
Tf is Sam going to teach him
He’s going to be a boom. He was in Michigan so he will be here. To all the haters stay mad.
Plus, we’re gonna prove the haters wrong when they say they wanted Drake May instead
I hope so too, I think Minnesota is the perfect place for him to succeed! Drake Maye is definitely in a worse position to succeed than him too.
@@mitchellmillimaki01 I mean, it’s kind of hard to tell because I haven’t seen Drake’s highlights and only McCarthy’s but I assume Drake is not gonna get far with his NFL team
I completely agree with you, I think Drake Maye is in the worst situation by a pretty wide margin out of the first round QB’s
@@mitchellmillimaki01 Yeap, same as Bryce Young last year..
i think he jus gonna be ryan tannehill where he mid for a super long time
I mean hey, Ryan Tannehill has been in the league for a long time and has had some good years for the Titans.
@@mitchellmillimaki01 maybe but he’s never been a actual threat in the afc
@@mitchellmillimaki01- He won't be that good
JJ is a DAWG
Absolutely! Love this man’s confidence, excited to see him this upcoming season!
The guys a good football player and after watching some of his tape the lad makes good decisions pretty consistently. His foot work is also really incredible.
Will be curious to see if he is able to improve on the long ball though. That aside everything else looks really good
I like the situation he is currently in, I think it’ll really help him develop. He has a lot of playmakers there to help him when things go wrong too.
@@mitchellmillimaki01 absolutely!
The pats should go for him. We all know what happened the last time the pats selected a Michigan qb😏
I mean hey if they go 2/2 on Michigan quarterbacks then the league is done for 😂
Brady had something that was un-measurable, not a stat, just a quality and a drive. We may NEVER see that again.
@@DMDvideo10 NFL scout on JJ McCarthy: "Before he signed, he was telling other Michigan recruits that if they wanted to party and chase girls, go somewhere else. His class was going to be the one that restored Michigan.
@@davidhethorn8091 That's a cool tidbit. Ultimately no one really knows it's all just a big bet. 6 QBs were taken in the top 12 picks this week. How many do you thin will actually start on an NFL team for more than 10 years? Maybe 1 or 2 of them...
honestly, i really like McCarthy bc of his great traits and play, in my opinion he's a boom but at the same time he is a really risky prospect. loving your vids! 😄
I’m glad you like the videos 🫶🏼
Still can't picture the boom unless the situation is perfect
I can see that, some players just need the right situation to happen. If Jimmy and Lance didn’t get hurt than maybe Brock would’ve never gotten a chance. 🤷🏼♂️
A dropped ball is now a qbs fault because herbert throws it too fast ? Lmao stop your an NFL level WR no excuse to be dropping balls
I get what you’re saying but throwing it 100 mph when a WR is 10 yards in front of you is unnecessary. It causes drops to happen. I’m just saying not everything has to be a fast ball.
Why would you throw a single pass if they cannot stop the run? Can't put any of that on JJ. Take this Saturday off JJ, we got some tomato cans upfront.
I mean hey we will see what he does at the next level.
Lot of "NFL Scouts" in this comment section lmfao. It's a crap shoot, every single qb drafted could be a bust. Chances are at least 1-2 will succeed, and who are we to say which those are?
I completely agree with you, at the end of the day we’re all just giving our best educated guesses.
Bust. Zach Wilson 2.0
Depends on where he ends up for me. If he goes to the Giants or Vikings I think he’ll be in a pretty good position.
I especially like the part where you provide no explanation whatsoever for how you can to that conclusion. Care to elaborate a bit?
All 1st round QB's can bust. Caleb and Jayden could turn out to be busts.
Absolutely true any player can, you never know how they will end up. It’s all about projections
SKOL
Vikings got there guy!!! Excited to see what he does!
I’m a vikings fan and I think he will be a bust 🤦🏽♂️
Not a big fan of the pick? I think the situation around him in Minnesota is a good one, so we shall see.
vikings
Yes sir!!! I think that’s the best place for him!
Dropping a dislike for the disrespect to Justin Herbert
I was waiting for you to comment something like that 😂
No more than any of the other top QB's.
No more what than the other quarterbacks?
@@mitchellmillimaki01 no more of a boom or bust prospect.
I disagree mainly because he’s so much of a question make due to not being asked to do much.
A game manager in college is suppose to be a franchise QB in the NFL?
That’s the thing, was he not asked to to it because he can’t or was he not asked to do it because it wasn’t needed
Tom Brady was a game manager too. Michigan football doesn't ask QBs to do too much.
"Game manager" was the role that Harbaugh tasked him with in their run-heavy offensive system. Jim didn't run with that style of offense in order to accommodate McCarthy. What JJ's game film and personal statistics lack in volume, they make up for in quality and substance. Go back and watch his 2022 & 2023 highlights. He may have some problem areas that need to be ironed out, but I see a hell of a lot more upside than downside, especially considering that he has landed in the best possible situation he could have with the Vikings. Watch for McCarthy to blow expectations out of the water once he's ready to take over as the starting QB.
Zack Wilson, Trey Lance, Blake Bortles, Christian Ponder 2.0
I guess we shall see how he turns out, I think it really depends on the team he gets drafted to
Only bust there is no boom.
You don’t see an upside to him?
@@mitchellmillimaki01 honestly not as much as others. I think he’s other a complete flop to the wrong team or if he goes to a good team he can be a serviceable starter but even at his best he won’t be considered a top 10 QB.
