    I was really expecting the Vikings to wind up drafting Penix but think they got THE GUY by getting JJ. It will be interesting to see where these top 6 QBs from this class are 3-4 years from now with respect to the teams that drafted them and the situation they got drafted into. Can't sleep on Sam Darnold though, the same reasons why JJ is in a great situation for a rookie QB also applies to Darnold who was a #3 pick that had his career derailed because of being drafted into a terrible situation. Darnold could flourish with the Vikings himself and possibly become a high value trade chip by teams with injuries at the QB position once JJ gets coached up. I'm excited to see how all this plays out. PS: Wonderful video!

      I appreciate the feedback and I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. I agree with you on your take about Darnold possibly becoming a key trade target for contenders with injuried QB’s. i think one of the differences between Maye and Mac is that with Mac as QB the offense will produce at the level of the players in the offense. Mac just isnt athletic enough and doesnt have a good enough arm to lift the whole offense up. With Maye, as seen from his time at UNC, he has the ability to lift a lackluster offense up to put up respectable numbers because of his athletic / throwing ability. The talent surrounding Maye in NE is by no means good, but the idea is that as the 3rd overall pick Maye will perform in spite of the bad offense, similarly to Allen and Herbert.

      Stop lying through your teeth man. Mac actually went 2 for 3, and while it's true that Josh threw the ball 30 times, he only had 15 completions for less than 150 yards. I'm pretty sure primarilly sticking with the run on that day was a coaching decision, not Mac's (who I'm sure was completely fine with as he probably thought it would help their chances of winning). Mac has actually had a bunch of nice deep throws, but unfortunately the Pats recievers drop a great chunk of them.

    • @Scott_Dunbar_II
      @Scott_Dunbar_II หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@damonbennett4373 I watched all the games, and he was NOT 80% of the problem, not even close. His bad play was a part of the problem, definitely, as was many other things; The o-line was bottom ranked in pass protection, most of the recievers could barely seperate and had horrible hands, the running game heavily regressed in 2023 (somehow), and Belichick made the asinine decision to hire Patricia and Judge to run the offense in 2022, which helped HEAVILLY in starting the whole team's downfall. Over the last 2 years, Mac started in 25 games, and out of all those games there were at least 8 where the Pats lost due to either horrible luck or someone else's terrible performance/mistakes, not because of Mac. I also don't understand that stuff about Mac making the players around him look worse. Guys like Kendrick Bourne, Pop Douglas, and Pharoah Brown all looked pretty fricking good when Mac was throwing them the ball. The offense just lacked talent and solid depth, which was evident when he was benched for Zappe and they looked just as bad, if not worse, than before.

Over the last 2 years, Mac started in 25 games, and out of all those games there were at least 8 where the Pats lost due to either horrible luck or someone else's terrible performance/mistakes, not just because of Mac.

    I will say, if you were a pats fan, you’d realize that losing Trent Brown may very well be a positive by itself. Dude is talented but when he doesn’t want to play he is actively horrible.

      I understand what you’re saying exactly, sometimes we as fans can pick up on things that the national media doesn’t talk about because we watch our teams a lot more closely! I didn’t know that about Trent Brown.

    The culture is different now than it was when Mac and Bill we’re here. McDaniels was great coordinator, Mac displayed talent for sure but toward the end he just couldn’t complete passes. They brought in Obrein to call plays and Mac preformed even worse than he did with Judge and Patricia at OC. It’s on Mac, this won’t happen with Drake Maye.

      Patricia and BOB as OC really killed him. I do like Drake Mayes chances more than Mac’s though, and I’m genuinely excited to see how he pans out.
