    As someone who has suffered a compound fracture almost exactly like Cines, I don’t know if he will ever come back, this isn’t his or Kwesi’s fault. I can’t even run anymore, with this break if he can even run that is remarkable-but based on my experience with this type of leg break, blaming these guys for what is a freak accident is a bit rich, they both deserve a break. Personally I feel for the guy as this was totally out of his control

    2022 was easily one of the worst drafts in team history. That first round trade back might be one of the worst in NFL history, based on what we could’ve had and what we got in return.

    I think McGlothern is going to get some run at CB. Looking at Khyree Jackson's profile I can see him getting some play at safety possibly filling Cine's spot if traded. Hell... both K-Jack and McG could be in the mix for some Safety play as CB/Safety hybrids.

    2022 draft was dookie, but notice that the first two offensive selections have been the most valuable for the team so far. Ed Ingram at 59, and Ty Chandler at 189. All of those defensive picks, which Donatell presumably was involved in picking, are all not so great. Also notice that our first defensive pick from the Flores era, Blackmon, came in and contributed right away. Obviously Jay Ward and Jaquelin Roy haven't done much yet, but they're day 3 picks.

    • @ariejohnson1944
      @ariejohnson1944 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      For sure, I'm a guy who gives the GM most of the blame and most of the praise for picks but having Ed in the building not only hurt Kwesi's decision making but ALSO didn't do the rookies any favors in their first NFL camp. Hell I bet even Kyle Hamilton would have had bigger issues adapting to the NFL with Ed as his coach instead of Mike Macdonald and John Harbaugh.

    • @kirkpatrick5219
      @kirkpatrick5219 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I don’t think people realize how much picks are an organizational consensus. You pick players based on your coaches and your scouts. Kwesi himself can’t watch every little detail about all draftees. He has to rely on what his organization is telling him and it’s no coincidence, like you said, that donatell was giving kwesi terrible advice and flores has had a few picks turn out already.

  • @quest4adventure495
    @quest4adventure495 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +5

    I don’t blame Louis Cine, he is what he is and he can’t help where he was drafted, or who we could’ve had instead. It was always pretty obvious that Kwesi, was setting himself up for disaster given the factors of who he passed on, who he traded with, and how little draft compensation he got in return…
    That being said if this draft class turns out the way I think it’s going to, I’m more than prepared to forgive him.

    The thing about that trade is that the Lions blew it even worse. They gave up that draft capital to move up and got a receiver who has missed a lot of games and has produced something like 600 yards and 3 touchdowns in two years. They also could have drafted Kyle Hamilton or a number of other defensive players that would have helped their team.

    I think the big question now is whether can he provide value with his 1st round draft pick salary. Cutting him this season will be a loss of 2 to 3 mil and I don't expect the Vikings to do that, but that means this season is his shot to really prove his value.

    The fan anger is about the actual trade 12 to 32 and no future 1st round pick, it's not about Lewis Cine. I would have fired Kwesi after the 2022 draft. Something changed in the 2024 free agency and draft period-maybe more decision making was given to Brian Flores and Josh McCown?

      Knee jerk reactions like that is why it’s good you’re not running a team.
      2024? So we can ignore how well Kwesi did last year? The fact that he dumped all the crap contracts so we could have the cap we do now and in the future?
      Now get into 2024. What changed is the cap space we had available to us in FA and the fact that he is finishing turning over the old regime. All thanks to Kwesi.
      People need to relax with this IMMEDIATE RESULTS crap. Just breathe. I want them to win too. How about we let them build some continuity and see what the Kwesi KOC team looks like which we probably see in its totality next year.

    Just because we have a deep safety room doesn't mean we didn't utilize the pick we had. Its like when people said we can give up a lot in draft capital because we have cap space... What??? Still hoping for something out of Cine, but not at the cost of roster/cap space if he is not a legit presence. I would hope that Kwesi isn't motivated by sunk cost, but much like with Ingram, I worry a bit that it could be more about GM hubris. I also can't believe that KOC and Kwesi would easily listen to Donatell whispers about guys he liked on their first draft night in MN, but that 2022 class continues to sting regardless, even without Hamilton comparisons.

    Drafting Lewis Cine was bad enough but Kwesi gave away the 12th pick in the for the 32nd pick a pick swap and a third round pick, losing the value of a mid third round pick, when you trade down you should always get more value then when you trade up. Detroit coaches and front office were laughing at what they gave up for the pick.

  • @markoakes54
    @markoakes54 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Remember draft picks are a team effort of the coaches, scouting department and GM. KAM bears some responsibility for the Cine pick but so does the rest of the organization. KAM also doesn't require a lot of credit for how well the 2024 draft went, it is a team game in so many ways.

    Kwesi has dropped a few hints over the years that 2022 was a difficult year because he didn’t fully have his system or staff in place for that draft. I think its fair to blame Cine on Rick Spielman still 😂 Seriously though, chances are he really did come in so late into he process that they leaned on whatever direction Rick and his staff already had in place. Plus Ed Donatelle being an awful DC having influence over this draft didn’t help either.
    The issue moving forward is Cine doesn’t seem to be worth a roster spot. Brian Flores is a mad man and if he cannot find a way to get Cine onto the field than just release the guy.

    I prefer to forget about the 2022 draft. It was Kwesi's first and I'm ok letting it go. I see no reason to beat it to death still. Cine will most likely be cut, you could tell on the sidelines last year. He didn't engage with the team at all, just kind of wandered around by himself. He looked like a dude on his way out of the league.

    Real talk we had to eat that one for Kwesi to learn on. I checked all the boxes in his world and probably expected him to be just as good as Hamilton . I really think he killed the draft this year. He could have caved and sold the farm but didn’t and we still have the QB we wanted and an elite edge who will hopefully at least be a solid replacement for Hunter. Kwesi will get extra picks for next year and going forward. We still have our first which is HUGE.

    I hope he gets traded for a 6th. Otherwise, it's a cut.

    Ty Chandler being the best pick of that draft is just pathetic. Hes not even that good. Hes a fine backup scatback.

    Let's face it. He is a bum. I lived in Georgia. My cp-wprker coaches local players. He really keeps up with Georgia talent. When we drafted him, he said, he is a bum. I hate for him to be right. Looks like he is right. He has been right about a lot of local talent over the years. I was hoping he is wrong about CIne. Maybe, the Vikings should call him about Georgia players. I have to admit, he is more right than we are. He told me about Anthony Edwards 4 years ago. Looks like he is right again.

    😅Bro absolutely horrible to say that lewis cine brings out the hate no he doesnt horrendous disgusting take the kid has one of the wrost injuries you could imagine on the field and he still is playing in games not alot very minimal but it's not like he's only been sitting on the bench literally doing nothing he's working on it and he's going to come back and if he doesn't well that's okay because he had a horrendous injury and to say that he brings out the most hate out of the new generation of Vikings fans is absolutely disgusting bro yes i understand hes barely palyed at all a total of 10 games total and minimum snaps bit to say hes what we are mad at is just stupid imagine getting a absolute gruesome horrible injury and your fans turn on you and are mad at you that you're injured or that your not playing in games like what? it's all due to the injury I would assume because if it was straight strictly playing I feel like they would have released him by now because why would you keep him around I have a feeling that kevin and kwesi probably know more than you do bud... Sometimes I like watching the channel but then you sometimes say dumb s*** like this and it's just like bro put yourself in somebody else's shoes for one time like I get it they are multimillion dollar atheltes but they are also human
