  • Statin, the Silent Killer. Are your loved ones taking statin drugs such as Atorvastatin (brand name: Lipitor), Rosuvastatin (brand name: Crestor), Simvastatin (brand name: Zocor), Pravastatin (brand name: Pravachol), Lovastatin (brand name: Mevacor), or PCSK9 inhibitors such as Alirocumab (brand name: Praluent) and Evolocumab (brand name: Repatha)? You should share this video to explore the dangers of these drugs. Here's why:
Statin drugs target or inhibit the upper cascade of the mevalonate pathway, which is crucial for cholesterol production. They inhibit the enzyme called HMG Coenzyme Reductase. By deactivating this enzyme, they reduce the production of several important molecules downstream. These include cholesterol, dolichol, CoQ10, molecules which convert Vitamin K1 and K2), and many others. While statins effectively reduce cholesterol, they also lower these vital molecules essential for optimal health.
Reduction in dolichol levels due to statins can lead to diabetes by disrupting insulin receptors. Decreased CoQ10 levels can cause muscle pain and elevate ALT liver enzymes. Contrary to pharmaceutical companies' claims, statin drugs may promote heart attacks due to reduced conversion of Vitamin K1 to Vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps remove calcium plaques from arteries, transferring them to bones and teeth, thereby reducing the risk of heart attacks.
The higher the statin dose, the greater the potential damage to your body. These are not mere side effects but actual effects when considering the Mevalonate Pathway, crucial for cholesterol production.
