I remember watching her mom’s first interview and her mom saying that she just knew with all her heart that her daughter was still alive and would get home. The interviewer asked her how she knew this. The mom said because Mia is a fighter, she’s smart, and she’s tough. Here is the proof! By Gods grace, she’s home and alive!

It is alleged that civilians, in significant numbers, came in with the Hamas terrorists - therefore becoming terrorists themselves. There is no Rose Garden living in Gaza with Hamas.
She lost me when she said her arm got detached and picked it up off the floor, then they show her moving her fingers, lol so some how in her 55 days captive she was able to reattach it and survive to speak about it🤔
You need to explain that to Hamas, since they’re the ones training children to yearn for martyrdom and talking about how proud they are for their kids to die in war. They have no compassion for their own kids’ wellbeing.
Civilians in Gaza are taught the hatred early and help hide terrorists so my compassion is not equivalent

I was a trauma nurse for a number of years here in the United States. The development of seizures can be a blast injury. You don't have to have a visible exterior blast injury for there to be injury. She spoke of the explosion right before her capture that damaged her hearing for three days… The seizures wouldn't manifest right away ... it would take time.

@@jebsmith323 She dressed it herself and moved it to keep the blood flow going. If you sit at a PC for hours blood clots to your feet. By getting up and moving it then goes back to being pumped around your body normally and blood carries oxygen and also waste products to the lungs or kidneys for release. I think one of the doctors told her she had saved her arm by moving it. A smart woman who of course had her mind in survival mode. Even though she admitted that towards her release she was almost at wits end she had enormous strength for self-preservation because out of 55 days, she was alone with terrorists for 50 days.

The fact that she was able to remain composed after telling all the horror she survived, but she break down and cried when he remembered leaving and feeling bad for the rest of the hostages being kept there, says a lot about her beautiful spirit

she did go through some stuff, but at the same time there's a lot of inconsistencies in her story (no burn marks. they were shooting anyone alive but when she yelled help they said come. her arm was hanging off to the point she had to pick it up yet it is perfectly fine in the video. no windows but then the windows of the house shattered on top of her). most other videos with hamas hostages (ones not posted by israeli channels) the people talk bt how they were friendly with eh guards, how the guards treated them well also watch "Traumatised Palestinian detainee describes torture in Israeli custody" by Al Jazeera English, israel treats their hostages far far worse, they gets starved beaten tortured raped, they come out looking like different people and they certainly do not get medical assistance.
She didn't break until she talked about the other hostages.. survivors guilt is so heartbreaking

She is the same girl who claimed she felt insecure of her looks because she expected them to r*p* her and then got a rhinoplasty (nose surgery) after she was released. Better watch the interview of other released hostages who talked about how well they were treated and respected unlike Palestinian kids who returned back with torture marks and malnourishment after release. Israeli politicians even talked about those who speak about being treated well of their time in Gaza should be unalived. All of this is public news, unless your heart is blind to see.

My father lived in occupied Holland during WW2, with the last name of Cohen. He survived, most of his friends did not. It stayed with him his whole life.

Luckily modern medicine and talk therapy is a huge help these days, which wasn't yet realised post WW2. The Israeli doctors and therapists are amongst the best in the world. She is so strong, I'm 100% certain that with time, therapy and support, she will certainly overcome the worst of it. She's young and strong. Let's remain positive for her ❤❤

I honestly doubt that Schem’s ordeal was truly horrific-except for when Israel put her life in danger by turning Gaza into a firestorm in their pursuit of terrorizing and massacring Palestinians. And no matter how difficult her experience might have been, it pales in comparison to what Palestinians have endured for generations. They have been subjected to some of the most inhumane treatment inflicted on an ethnic group in decades. Even her captors have grown up in conditions so brutal-inflicted upon them by Israel-that Schem’s suffering seems like a trip to an ice cream shop in comparison.
And what do you have to say about the genocide Israel has unleashed on the Palestinian people? Where is your sympathy for them? For the tens of thousands killed, the children buried under rubble, the families obliterated? As far as Schem is concerned, they’re just “pure evil” because some kid refused to give her candy. But what kindness has she ever shown to the children of Palestine to deserve even a single morsel?

Thank you for sharing your experience.No one except those who have shared the experience of captivity can begin to understand the extreme trauma you went through. Your interview was incredibly brave. I felt overwhelmed hearing your experience. I was once held at gunpoint for 6 hours. I prayed the entire time. When I was allowed to leave, I literally disassociated from what I experienced. This is her experience, which shows that unfortunately many Palestinians are supporting Hamas and do not feel any compassion towards the hostages. I'm sure - well at least I hope - that a lot of Palestinians do not agree with the terror of Hamas though - but standing up for themselves will mean they might die as well, so they're safer when they're quiet. Yes, and she is absolutely right. It is a privilege to consider all children innocent and live under the assumption that all people want the same things for you. The "parents" of these "children" call them martyrs, they see death as holy and they glorify it. That is who you are crying for. If you were a hostage in Gaza and the children there were spitting on you and teasing you with food and candy after you hadn't eaten in 3 days you would consider them evil too.

This young lady is incredible. The strength she had to have to survive everything she went through, in agonising pain from gunshot wound, when time was at a slugs pace and everything seemed dark and hopeless. Also, incredibly, she only sheds tears when talking about her fellow captives, not a single tear shed for herself. What an amazing young lady Mia is!

For those who are reading the subtitles, please realize they’re not always going to be exact and some things get lost in translation. Anything confusing may be because the translation. The videos of her in captivity and reuniting with her family are proof enough. The fact you choose not to believe it just shows your ignorance to the terrible things happening in other countries, while you’re completely safe at home with your privileged life.

It’s incredible to think of the concept of crying actually being a privilege. The amount of pain and fear she must have gone through to not even dare crying is unfathomable
I cld relate to Mia for not crying not BC she doesn't want to but it's holding up bc the emotions was exhausted. I was married to a Palestinian before, battered wife physically, emotionally. I cried all my life in hell being with the demonic man that eventually my emotions got numb as my defense to bear and endure the pain. After 10 years of agony I was freed from hell!! I remember I had an episode of my body was shaking due to extreme stress and thinking that my brain feels like shutting down. I prayed and it calmed down.Mia this too shall pass...be strong my girl❤

If her arm was detached (properly) for 3 days it wouldn't have survived and would not have been re attached she would have got an infection and died from that. Her humerus was shot and hence the ex fix on it to heal the bone. She would have lost a lot of blood but there is probably nerve damage but she's lucky to have kept her arm and have some function. The Palestinian doctors saved her arm. The fact that it was operated on. She was saved. I don't agree with either side. I don't wish this upon anyone, but there is a huge difference when one side's hostages describe the children of their captors as "pure evil" for not giving them candy, and the other side's hostages look deformed after being tortured for so long.

To clarify why she didnt cry: When you're that level of afraid, you cant cry because you are too afraid to be able to let emotions out. Emotions come out when you feel you are safe from being ridiculed or shamed for it.
