  • Another video on using the Air Traffic Control in X-Plane 11. Thanks to the ATC, a large jet flew past just before landing (~22:20), making things a bit harder.

As a real world pilot and plane owner, I noticed that you adjusted the flaps on final at a speed of around 130 knots indicated air speed (KIAS). Trust me, if you did that on a real airplane, you would rip the wings off or at least cause structural damage to the airframe. If you want to fly with realism, it would be to your advantage to learn the markings on the air speed indicator. All those pretty colors are put there for a reason.

The turbulence just before landing, that was really special.

you are way over average of other teachers who publish on "free" you tube. Standing on the runway you said "I will activate the autopilot later through a keyboard command". Well, later you do not tell the audience how you do that, but you do it anyway. Good luck and get even better.

My X plane 11 just has a line instead of “request altimeter” and the little screen. All mine is, is a line which has nothing on it. Please help me.

Why are the readbacks vocalized, but not the actual requests? Kind of takes me out of the ATC experience.

I tried following this usng the newer s-tek like auto pilot and it doesn't work. there is no AP button and the heading and nav doesn't seem to engage at all. Can you explain this or make an updated video showing the use of the new auotpilot?

After multiple instances of not being vectored on course on departures, and being told to climb to cruise altitude on approaches, I said to hell with X-Plane 11 ATC and fly without it. X-plane 11 ATC isn't even as good as FS2002 ATRC.

I dabbled a lot of FS back in the early days and all I had was a flight plan using VORs to go from one airport to another. Thanks for showing how to fly in XP11 using ATC. Can't wait to get my hands on one!

That video was very helpful, thanks! First time Flight Sim user and I know how to take off and land, but that's about it. Your video has given me the confidence to do more than just circle an airport lol. I'll start by copying your flight :)

Thank you so much. More than ATC, I learnt about the ILS approach with autopilot.

This helped me so much because I just started the x plane realistic things and am planning oon becoming a better pilot, so this helped me greatly by learning and understanding the Cessna aircraft better :)

Best video on TH-cam for understanding X-Plane 11 ATC. Also, a great channel for RNAV/GPS
