    • @Animo2006
      @Animo2006 4 ปีที่แล้ว +409

@@jeffblowpezlopez4122 No. You are misunderstanding what the quote means. You have to be capable of violence in order to have the capability of being peaceful. If you lack the capability to be violent then you're literally harmless because you lack the capability to be violent. To be peaceful is a conscious choice. To be harmless means you don't have a choice. School shooters are psychotic people who lack the capability of self control and are violent because they commit violence without a reasonable and just cause.

00:37:48 JP - trans pronouns generated by neo-marxists.
00:38:55 Marxsism is murderous, Venezuela, Solzhenitsyn, Soviet Union.
00:43:06 Equality of outcome inevitably leads to tyranny.
00:44:45 Why is marxism attractive? The left is important for adressing inequality.
00:48:11 Socialitsts unconnected to the poor, filled with resentment for the successful.
00:49:13 Identity politics - tribal identities end up in genocide.
    00:51:28 Idividualism as the answer.
00:51:50 Motivations of mass murderers - resentment, bitterness, malevolence.
00:52:47 The way through suffering is voluntarily accepting it or "bearing the cross".
00:53:23 Tribalism, debate is essential, JR gives example from his high school.

01:14:23 Limited number of viable ways to be, constrained by the future, reciprocity.
01:16:26 Is nihilism correct? No. Confront chaos voluntarily. Establish and revivify order. Constrain malevolence.
01:18:35 Potential and chaos. Structure and order. Call forth order from chaos via truthful speech.
    01:20:42 Responsibility vs self-esteem.
01:23:57 Truth redeems people. Voluntary gradual exposure to fears is curative. Confront the dragon, get the gold.
01:25:58 Why do people resist responsibility?
    01:27:19 Wasting time, potential productivity.
    01:30:32 Discipline.
01:32:30 Have a life that justifies the suffering.
01:33:52 Hell is real (as a psychological place).

01:45:08 Malevolence only makes things worse.
01:46:49 Having margaritas on a beach is not a recipe for happiness. It's a travel poster.
01:47:38 The thing that sustains people through life is lifting of a worthwhile burden.
01:48:05 The world is a lesser place if you don't manifest your purpose.
01:48:52 Getting your act together is better for your family and for society.
01:49:57 JP - Why should you clean your room? The result is a fixed up room and a fixed up individual.
01:51:59 "Small" problems in life (30 min/day) urgently require a solution.
01:54:00 How does JP deal with the fame for the past 1.5 years?

02:12:22 JP was really sick last January. JP's daughter had serious health issues through most of her childhood.
02:14:50 A change in diet helped JP and his daughter (meat + greens). Carbohydrates and sugar very harmful.
02:20:25 Why did JP stop teaching? Sabbatical. Hopes to continue teaching online.
02:22:35 The university is where people want to learn. TH-cam has become that place.

Sadly, the common personality today who seems to be intelligent cannot read a letter with a few questions or descriptions and retain it. Like selling something, you will get repetitive questions on what you already described to a tee in your add. Write someone a letter with questions in it & they answer not one question! It’s like a blind spot. I heard a TH-camr a few days back use an example of a conservative Hollywood actor saying something good, but was then criticized by a follow up comment from a completely different person. People reading this TH-camrs feed just a few comments later began a whole new narrative. They had the actor who was good in what he said, as the person who commented the negative comment. And people began to write off the actor as saying the random comment that was not his. People by nature are not observant & by nature act more like, “Lord of the flies”. That’s why they will gladly climb on board a sinking ship that has a sign, “Sinking Ship”, because they were not paying close attention but thinking of the next thing they might say instead. It’s like a disease!😂😂😭sorry this was long and hard to follow!

The time this video released is actually few days before my mom died of cancer. I was in the dark place at mind for 4-5 years (I'm growing and walking to the path of light right now), but if only there's someone pointing me this video sooner or just approach me myself with this kind of positivity mindset they both build (also the book itself called An Antidote Of Chaos) I wouldn't have going through the same process. But now I have understood fully what's best for me, especially I've been following Jordan about a year these times, I want to grow and blooming and be better in a lot of ways.
I just wanna say Thank You for both of them, Joe and Jordan, for kinda sorting this book out for me and I think I will read the book someday, hopefully soon. For everyone reading this, I think we all still have time to be better and change for the good. And I never understood life entirely...i had a desire for truth (good or bad, evil or righteous) and I've searched it in the church I've searched it in men(fathers), I've searched it in women. And I deeply believe I suffered for it. I'm not saying I'm an atheist but the church has disconnected itself from physical facts evidence itself. So I thank you for connecting those dots for me. Thank you for being a role model for me and men like me.

Petersens' lectures from Genesis relate the Bible stories to the overarching realities of life. Most people make moralizing interpretations, others think it's all about salvation and Jesus.
I was blown away to hear Peterson teach that the Fall story is a story about human beings becoming self-conscious.
The story of David and the prophet Nathan shows what might happen if you spoke the truth in your interpersonal relationships.
His interpretations connect our reality with the reality of our father instead of trying to unite the book by adding an extra level of philosophy or ideology.

The thing is emotion is a gratification system whereas using fact is not. It's quite the opposite in reality because it requires us to put our biases aside. Humans are by nature very biased and as our society progresses in favor of instant gratification, so does the balance of emotion versus fact in favor of emotion. On the polar end of that scale is the ostracization of facts in favor of emotion which we are starting to see in our society today.

This has been going on my whole life but ever since the election it has gotten worse and now she is the constant victim all while being the smartest and most morally correct person in the room. She uses social justice warrior buzz words and catch phrases to try to shame people in to their places because they didn’t metaphorically bow down to her will and power. She literally attacked a family member last Christmas and has successfully pretended like nothing ever happened. She won’t even think about considering listening to someone that will tell her she isn’t perfect and always right. Thanks for trying for your kids and not just trying to be the all powerful overlord of them.

Cannibal Nectar Cannival You are so awesome to have shared your experiences with your mother. So brave! I have a vision board and barely ever focus on the chaos around me. I focus on, or keep my imagination going on how I want things to be for me and my family. I hardly look at reality, just on how better life will be.... I am always checking in with my thoughts to assure I dont go down a slippery slope of despair. And if I do, I immediately think about the things I appreciate, even if it is my wonderful pillow on my bed. Doing this, for some reason, life becomes easy. It is like the universe responds to my positive thoughts. The Better it gets, the Better it gets!!! And life will get Better for you too!!!

I hope all goes well with your pregnancy. We don't know all the effects of the Vaccines on the reproductive system. The CDC finally released data showing it's causing problems with the reproductive cycle. We need to get more open discussion on these issues, but the mainstream media only wants to hear 100% positives about the vaccines.
My mother had 17 children, and she's now 95. It's not as hard as you think if you don't let the children become your boss, my mother had 17 helpers - so after the first few she had it easy. I used to enjoy feeding and changing the diapers on my younger brothers and sisters. I don't every remember going anywhere where the kids were bratty or screaming. Now when I go to restaurants its pretty common. One thing that is important is, she always read to us from an early age. You can start while the baby is in the womb.

ignoring the main causes of a problem so you can use the result to strengthen your own echo chamber, classy. maybe look at why the country has some poverty like being unable to sell their main export to the worlds biggest consumer because of sanctions imposed because the CIA couldn't install a friendly dictator.

    • @kennycaldera6333
      @kennycaldera6333 3 ปีที่แล้ว +139

@@sandy120 the sanctions started roughly 3 years ago, my people have been starving for waaaay longer than that. What Jordan Peterson is saying is true, you cannot report starvation as a cause of death because it undermines the government's management, you can't speak against the government because it is viewed as hate speech, lots of artists and news channels have been exiled because of this. And yeah, I am from Venezuela, it's really appalling to watch people justify what's happening in a place they don't have a most minimal clue about just to gather petty excuses to back their ideologies and I'm not calling you anything specifically, but I've struggled with this kind of people for very long. What I tell most Americans who defend our government is to just leave America and start a life in Venezuela, it's truly the only way they can understand because once you're there, your unconscious bias dissolves at the sight of the visible mayhem.
