Before I knew Jordan Peterson, I was a 4 time college dropout. Since I started listening to Jordan Peterson in 2017, I earned a STEM degree from a top 5 University in the field, raised my salary by 600%, advanced through 4 jobs, switched my career, and fixed my marriage. I took the heaviest rock I could lift and lifted it. Thanks Dr. Peterson. To all the cynics in the comments, your snark only prevents you from fixing your own lives. I’m here to share good news and inspiration. If you choose to deny your own potential, that’s up to you.
Jordan Peterson turned me from a hedonistic, nihilistic atheist who was single, unemployed, and living with my parents to a responsible, disciplined, optimistic Christian who is now happily married, employed, with a child on the way. He completely shifted my worldview. Making meaning my goal as opposed to happiness changed everything. Developing the humility to accept incremental change changed everything. Becoming open to religious ideas changed everything. God bless this man. I shudder to think where I would be without his influence on my life.
faith and trust in God is still the most important thing as a christian :) everything peterson speaks is really important and true but i think he left that point out :D i feel like christians today are too self reliant so the main message of the bible kinda gets left out

@@johnreed2272 I pointed out that the statement is nonsense, as a pattern of nonsense by JP. I am attacking his statements; is that a character attack? JP doesn't like his statements critiqued? What a shame to have 2 people who do not know God personally talking about Him and His Word out of ignorance because they are spiritually blind. JESUS told Nicodemus "you must be born again". Nicodemus was a scholarly leader. 😮

Jordan’s off the cuff meaning of life was incredible. -What’s the meaning of life? It’s the meaning that reveals itself when you take the pathway of maximum responsibility. Thank you Mr. Peterson

There was a moment in my life that nothing made sense, a Sunday morning , I was into another episode of depression, I started looking online, for some help, while navigating the web, I saw a video of a guy talking about some rules for life, everything he said resonated with me, I literally started cleaning my room, of course it was not dirty, but I opened the drawers and start putting away things,I did the same with my papers, pictures, my drawings, letters and birthday cards that I had in my closet for years…tearfully I understood what he meant, since that day my life is different I took control of my actions, and saw everything good that I had around me, but mainly what can I do to make my life better, I will be forever grateful to Dr. Peterson.
Contrary to what Peterson said the concept of hierarchies inherently creates power imbalances and inequalities that tend to produce victims: 1. Hierarchies of suffering and victimhood exist, where some victims are seen as more deserving of sympathy and support than others. This creates a status hierarchy among victims themselves[3]. 2. Media representations reinforce hierarchies by portraying certain groups of women as "worthy" or "unworthy" victims, often along racial and class lines. This perpetuates systemic inequalities[4]. 3. Even attempts to eliminate victims from some hierarchies, like the "Zero Inclusion Victim" cache design, still acknowledge the existence of victims in the original hierarchy that needed to be addressed[1]. 4. Hierarchies in evolution and nested classifications can produce "victims" in the form of organisms that lose traits or are outcompeted[2]. 5. The very concept of victimhood is tied to status and power dynamics in international relations and society[3]. While it may be theoretically possible to envision a perfectly egalitarian system, in practice hierarchies tend to produce winners and losers, dominant and subordinate groups, and by extension, victims
Man, those last 40 minutes were absolutely mesmerizing. Jordan exploring religious and psychological concepts is great, him detailing out what he is doing on the online university front is fascinating, but when he gets into what has happened to his initial chosen profession and the consequences for those most in need of help and guidance, that is truly something to behold.

"Assume the person you're conversing/debating with MAY know something you don't" This one sentence Jordan Peterson said...of everything I've watched from lectures to podcasts changed me profoundly. I would always try to win when debating or just waiting for my turn to talk when conversing with someone. Now I actually listen to people...I really listen to them...the result I feel is that I've grown so much as a human being since then. A deeply sincere thank you to Jordan Peterson.
Subconsciously I’ve been doing this for years when talking about things I actually know a lot about. It doesn’t go as well as you imagine. Still the loudest asshole gets his part said.
Or assume they don't know something that you do. I've learned to ask "have you heard of this?" when discussing an obscure topic, or " have you seen this movie, heard this song, etc?" when making references.
Ive said this over the years ina few comments but jordans first book coupled with scripture helped me through the depths of addiction and nihilism , self hatred and the verge of death. I am forever in debt to Jordan, god bless him. Many , many years mr. Peterson ! ☦️ Edit/Reply : Thanks for all the love guys, and to answer some questions I ment his first big book 12 rules for life. It helped me beyond measure , but I had to implement what Jordan says word for word, no procrastinating. Now I'm over a year sober and my wife and I are trusting and loving better than ever, also our first child , a boy , will be born in 4 weeks! God is good!!!

@Wanos321 yeah it's always the same. Sure you can interpret the bible all you want but he's adding a whole lot of meaning that he has prescribed himself. Inferencing is a great tool but at this point that's all he's doing. He has zero actual ability to know that was the intent of the author. Taking off his shoes is a sign of his willingness to transform? OK, sure maybe but you don't know that beyond your idea that's what it might be. It's somewhat interesting to listen to once but then it's just the same thing recycled. I donhave respect for JP but the fact he says it like its established Canon is what gets me. It wasn’t until Candace Owen’s recent podcast that I started to become aware of the increasing hate on him. I think several things are happening. 1) It 100% could be deep state operatives planting trolls to comment on videos he is in to get people to change their opinion on him, because his opinions are dangerous to the communist agenda and he has a very wide reach. And that is more powerful than people think. I’m sure there are tons of people who have switched their opinion of him 180 all because of a few disparaging comments they’ve read. The SOCIAL PRESSURE realllllly gets to people. 2) On a spiritual/religious basis, people who speak truth are often and always hated in spiritually dark societies, like ours, so the further our society drifts from Truth, the more they will start to NATURALLY hate people like Jordan. And 3) People don’t like when he gets “heated” on X. But I think people don’t realize how truly evil and pathological the left has become. Getting angry at the poisonous rhetoric they spew is warranted and justifiable in many cases. And I want to state that even someone like myself, who has loved and revered Jordan since 2020, (and still do!!) questioned my opinion of him when I saw some very rude comments about him on his recent podcast he did with Elon Musk. I questioned myself for about….. 60 seconds 😅 and realized that “no, I do not agree with these people. I’ve followed JBP very closely for over 4 years now and he hasn’t done anything to make me think that he has “sold his soul”, or “he’s a coward”, or a “hypocrite and liar” etc.” We live in Orwellian times and just as Orwell wrote about, the Truth becomes HATED in pathological times. (ISAIAH 5:20). Jordan is the same Jordan I’ve known since I was introduced to him (besides the natural changes that come with living life but at his core he is the same is what I mean). I’m not sure where all this hate has come from, and I tend to think that the most logical explanation for it IS the religious one. He’s teaching Truth; therefore the dark forces running the world will try to snuff him out. It’s sad to see so many people switch up all of the sudden when he hasn’t done anything to warrant such behavior. I wonder what peoples answers would be if you asked them “give me examples of things he’s done to make you think he’s a fake, evil, lying charlatan now.” Most likely they wouldn’t be able to come up with any real, rational argument. As is always the case with people who do not think critically for themselves. PS, that is probably the single greatest thing Jordan has done for me: he has taught me how to THINK CRITICALLY and INDEPENDENTLY. Just some thoughts of mine that are hard to flesh out and articulate in a YT comment, but I hope my point gets across.
I’m not through this podcast, just over an hour into it and I’m completely floored.. I don’t consider myself religious but I love to read, and my interests in knowledge has taken me to the Old Testament. I literally just finished the Abraham story before I turned this podcast on… I have been analyzing the story as I went through it, and Jordan adding his spin on it is just incredible to listen too. The timing is incredible. Thanks guys
The things about those scriptural stories is that they can relate to almost anything in life depending on how you look at it, the principles are completely versatile and connected.
Brother! Coincidence is not a thing when you are on the path to righteousness!! Once you SEE it’s a gift, everything changes. The real questions to ask one’s self is HOW did Enoch ascend to Heaven, Alive? He figured it all out and lived it! It’s why he was removed from the Bible. Imo. Stay the course! Learn more and more and more. Eventually yoj will become a beacon for those who are lost and searching for the next coincidence to change their lives! 😊
I’m a 36 year old man who is in the midst of a terrifying time of trying to figure out my life after multiple ups and downs in the past. I’m here taking notes on this discussion. Once again blown away by the Dr Peterson and Rogan team.
Outgrow them, fast... for your own sake. People say Trump is a poor man's idea of a rich guy, which makes Peterson an illiterate man's idea of a philosopher, he's nothing more than an ankle-deep pseudointellectual. The faster you realise that, the better for you.
Was 32 when I graduated college, 38 when I had a child, 41 when I started over professionally. 43 now and still a bit uncertain, but I have aimed high and am finally doing it. Went through my 30s feeling so far behind and lost.
I love listening to Dr Peterson. Even though I thought I was doing okay after my life partner passed away. I was stuck, not going forward or backward. Simply existing… Just listening to him helped me form a path forward. There are few in this world who are a treasures. Dr Peterson is one of those treasures. We are so lucky to have him.
Jordan has serious passion for the betterment of people and the world , he has the benefit of being surrounded by mostly good people , his enthusiasm gives me a massive hope for future generations.
Except he still dismisses every scientist and scientific institution across the world saying climate change isn’t real. He’s only for the betterment of himself at the cost of the world. Good job
I bought "Maps of Meaning" 3 years ago. It took almost 20 years for Jordan to write it, as far as I understand. After 3 attempts of trying to read the book, I am on page 274 at the moment. Well worth reading slowly.

I just want to let you know that my life is changing by the minute here and it wasn't until now that I feel called truly to seek truth and aim upward. God bless, Jordan Peterson!
I’ve been following Jordan Peterson since his first appearance on JRE almost (if not) 10years ago. It’s great to see society finally sobering around the themes he had been warning us about. Better later than never!
I love how Jordan Peterson said it: in order to be the ones we are ment to be we must confront and embrace our fears and the whole shit going on in our lives.
Jordan helped me get sober, I ODed and that made me want to quit and Jordan motivated me and gave me the tools to do it I was on fentanyl and benzo’s. When I first heard of him and I saw him do a few interviews he did and thought I was a pretty smart guy and then I listened to a lecture he did I wish I could remember witch one but after that I start getting a few thing in order and checked myself into a rehab that same week.
12 steps helped me changed my life . July 18th I was 18yrs sober. God can use anyone for his message mine was an active heroin user. Of course God can use Peterson
Joe, when I listen to your podcast I resonate deeply with everything you say. I would like to have the power you have to communicate your ideas, your perceptions and the realities you share. There are so many things that the system has deprived us of... such as healing, understanding, being creative, humble, compassionate and empathetic. I love knowing that there are people like you and Jordan Peterson. Always, thank you for your podcast!
I just love how JP always manages to draw a picture inside my head with his words, and how he can articulate thoughts in a way that they basically construct themselves in front of oneself.
It would be nice to be a native speaker. When Jordan Peterson uses that amount and kind of words I have to listen like 3 times to understand well, but I imagine how all those specific word wired up together draw easily the idea on the mind of the people who understand all those words at 100%
Watching his gestures and facial expressions while speaking triples what his words alone do. Took me my whole life to finally find a magnificent Teacher
Yes he is a fine man I love to lay in the pool with headset and listen & learn something that I can use in my life .. I get some vitamin D and brain stimulation 🙏🏼🙂🌞
That stood out to me too. Was cool how intently he was listening tho. The man’s a good listener if you’ve watched a lot of his conversations, never seen him miss a word anyone’s ever said to him lol
Jordan has become the father figure I needed in my life. He is my generations father and he cares and wants whats best for all. Jordan helped me through so much hurt and pain in my life and I'm grateful to him. My daughter is now taking an interest in reading Jordan's books and listening to his lectures and I am so happy for her to be guided by him. Thank you, Jordan.
Dr. Peterson continues to amaze me! The way he conceptualizes the material is practical, despite being antithetical to the current pedagogy of psychology. His courage & commitment to truth & pursuing truth encourage me to stand up and speak for what’s right as well.
Did he impregnate your wife? Did he make the decision to not be a womanizing douche? Totally respect JP but take some credit for your own initiative and responsibility.

Thanks Dr. Peterson.

I’m in the beginning of my journey! Encouraged! Thanks for sharing
I shudder to think where I would be without his influence on my life.
faith and trust in God is still the most important thing as a christian :) everything peterson speaks is really important and true but i think he left that point out :D i feel like christians today are too self reliant so the main message of the bible kinda gets left out
Dr. Peterson didn’t do that he only gave you the right perspective for to you achieve that level of success through your hard work
Could I ask which Christian tradition you picked?
Two good men in a sick society. ❤
You'd be surprised how much meaning is happiness, more than the pursuit of happiness on its own.

Peterson.

Joe Rogan talks about psychedelics with the same passion and earnestness that Jordan Peterson talks about hierarchies.
Lol, yup perfect 😂😂
And I fucking love it
I'm not a fan of lobster, actually all seafood is pretty groce. Steak on the other hand
Contrary to what Peterson said the concept of hierarchies inherently creates power imbalances and inequalities that tend to produce victims:
Damn this was funny
Man, those last 40 minutes were absolutely mesmerizing. Jordan exploring religious and psychological concepts is great, him detailing out what he is doing on the online university front is fascinating, but when he gets into what has happened to his initial chosen profession and the consequences for those most in need of help and guidance, that is truly something to behold.
Jordan Peterson is the reason I am a father of 4 and a good husband. He did what my own father should've done and never did.
Oic
That's a particularly heavy one to overcome (the bs father figure). Still on my own path regarding that one, but I'm glad you made it through dude 🙏
What's that, tell you not you use protection. Jp taught you to do what animals and the rest of humsnity have done, even without fathers. Wow, you are easily MK's ultra+
That’s sad
Whether you're a good husband or father isn't for you to judge. Seems odd you call yourself a good husband so boldly.

Ive said this over the years ina few comments but jordans first book coupled with scripture helped me through the depths of addiction and nihilism , self hatred and the verge of death. I am forever in debt to Jordan, god bless him. Many , many years mr. Peterson ! ☦️
Edit/Reply : Thanks for all the love guys, and to answer some questions I ment his first big book 12 rules for life. It helped me beyond measure , but I had to implement what Jordan says word for word, no procrastinating. I cleaned my room, then my house, then my mind, then my body, and relationships , then my life. Now I'm over a year sober and my wife and I are trusting and loving better than ever, also our first child , a boy , will be born in 4 weeks! God is good!!!
May I ask the name of his first book? I struggle with the same debilitating burdens. I read scripture as well. Best of luck to you and yours.

Peterson most likely sourced this from Dostoyevsky. “Every man is not only responsible for what he does but what everyone else does”. They both likely sourced this from heroic characters in mythology and religion which all have stories where someone bears the weight of the world on their shoulders or something similar.

Props. 👊🤯
Peterson was rambling wayyyy too hard this time for me. It was not a clear/smooth conversation. Headache inducing
@@miguelstein8431skill issue 😛
@@sirtranah, jp is a hyperintellectual, imbalanced
@@sayerslayer1854 i'm not a doctor but i don't think what you describe is known to induce headaches medically.
Seems more like a psychological or skill issue.
@@sirtra i have nothing against him, he's just never been a favorite speaker of mine. I've listened to many philosophers and speakers over the years, Jordan isn't particularly unique and he does have a rambling sort of speaking style. Its nothing personal, I don't hate him just don't idolize him either
I can see no one who stayed to the end commented. Joe Rogan mentioned Jordan Peterson's appearance on Kill Tony. That's going to be exciting to watch.
I just want to let you know that my life is changing by the minute here and it wasn't until now that I feel called truly to seek truth and aim upward. God bless, Jordan Peterson!
Same.
Jordan Peterson is one of the people who change my life forever
So many lives ruined because of fentanyl and benzos
Sad for you
sounds like you did all that yourself, peterson got security issues my friend
12 steps helped me changed my life . July 18th I was 18yrs sober. God can use anyone for his message mine was an active heroin user. Of course God can use Peterson
YOU DID IT BY YOURSELF not fuckuing jordan peterson
Joe, when I listen to your podcast I resonate deeply with everything you say. I would like to have the power you have to communicate your ideas, your perceptions and the realities you share. There are so many things that the system has deprived us of... such as healing, understanding, being creative, humble, compassionate and empathetic. I love knowing that there are people like you and Jordan Peterson.
Always, thank you for your podcast!
"Teach what you want, to the people who want to listen", add intelligent and motivated students, and that's literally a teachers dream.
I just love how JP always manages to draw a picture inside my head with his words, and how he can articulate thoughts in a way that they basically construct themselves in front of oneself.
Yes, communication is a thing.
Jordan paints a picture every time he opens his mouth.
@@Agustin_RIt’s worth it. Keep at it
It is amazing how many people on here attribute Peterson with saving their life, making them a better person. Good for him, good for them.
Yes he is a fine man I love to lay in the pool with headset and listen & learn something that I can use in my life .. I get some vitamin D and brain stimulation 🙏🏼🙂🌞
I skipped sleep for this episode. WORTH IT
OMG, I can’t remember Jordan staying silent for so long in any interview.😂
There was a moment where he tried to speak, but he can't help himself
He was making up for talking too much during that Elon interview maybe?
That stood out to me too. Was cool how intently he was listening tho. The man’s a good listener if you’ve watched a lot of his conversations, never seen him miss a word anyone’s ever said to him lol
He is a psychologist.
@ChefBoR.D. agreed. I've listened to alot of his episodes on his own podcast. He's a great host.
The spirit of the father ❤️
5 minutes into the podcast - Jordan already talked about hierarchies and Joe talks about psychodelics. I love it :)
Dr. Peterson continues to amaze me! The way he conceptualizes the material is practical, despite being antithetical to the current pedagogy of psychology. His courage & commitment to truth & pursuing truth encourage me to stand up and speak for what’s right as well.
Jordan Peterson is the reason why now i'm a proud father of two beautyful kids and defender of the traditional family. ❤
❤❤❤👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Did he impregnate your wife?
Did he make the decision to not be a womanizing douche?
Totally respect JP but take some credit for your own initiative and responsibility.
Almost half a million views in five hours. Joe Rogan will always have my respect for what he has given this world.
At one point, Joe Rogan talked for almost 9 mins without being interrupted by the great Mr. PETERSON. Shows a lot
"great"
He is a servant of jews
I've only recently found Jordan, and I am grateful I did. This gentleman is a life saver who has an amazing soul
1:59:46 "if you orient your aim upward in the highest manner, the spirit that informs your thought will be the spirit of the highest possible aim." YES
Jordan's patience to let Joe speak is remarkable 😂
🔄
Perhaps he read the comments on the Elon interview 😂
I know he thinks he is so intellectually stimulating that everyone else is mezmerized but we're actually just scrolling to something else
He's a snake oil salesman
Gender reassignment is worse than what the Nazis did in the camps
That's just something you do when you truly want to get a full understanding this is a conversation of the unknown in search of the known. The best way to do that is to compare ideals
Yes yes perfect, Exactly what I want/need. I could watch 2180 Jordan Peterson podcasts
I could listen to him for hours talking about how Gender reassignment is worse than what the Nazis did in the camps
Dr. Peterson emits the frequency knowledge of The Plan of Light, Love and Power.
