It’s January 2024 as I comment. I’m meditating on getting a GT-1000 Core. My inclination would be to get one of those footswitches and an exp. pedal. Reactions?
The GT1000 Core sounds great so you can’t go wrong on that front but I’d encourage you to do a lot of research on the interface on device and some of the limitations with placing effects. It’s a great unit but it’s got a lot of great competition.
Much obliged, @@PBOD. For me, it’s a combination of factors. I’ve used Boss units before and been more than satisfied with the sound. I’ve also used other devices that had similar sonic limitations in the interface to this one. When you get to the end of the signal chain, if you’ll permit me the joke, it’s also about budget.
The sounds are great and it covers 95 % of my needs but it's unnecessarily hard to adjust on the fly in my opinion. The user interface is not very friendly, you still have all the blocks in there even when you're using like two of them in the patch, but i got used to it.
Thanks,@@vitkosek8949. For certain, I’m glad that I’ve been watching so many tutorials and reviews since 2023. If I do get it and learn how to access most of those parameters in a fashion that I could create patches that I am interested in and won’t need to adjust the settings on the fly if I start taking it to rehearsals and appearances, I could learn to live with those limitations.
Thank you so much !!!! I couldn't figure out why the lights on my Fs7 pedal wouldn't work right....lol I had no idea live if some of the less suddle effects were on or off.... Boss needs better instructions for all of their equipment !!!
I was so excited about that, I paused the video and ran and switched it over so now the FS7 pedal is working right !!!! I'll have to get another ! But thanks for the info in the rest of the video !!!!!! Extra super helpful !!!!! I had no idea that you can use the external foot switches like that. Awesome content and very well explained !!!!!! Much appreciated !!! 👍😁👍
This tip/video is very much appreciated, and thank you. But for the sake of playing devil's advocate, wouldn't the workflow here normally just be to create a second preset which swaps out reverb types? That's what most people would do, I would think.
Meh... Why just not to save three different patches with all settings needed... There're plenty of free space even in old rocking chair GT-8. The only thing GT floorboards are still on air is they are the only one versatile gig that have AMP control socket and can be effectively used as a compact floor controller together with external amps on stage.
Really enjoyed that, some of the tones on that unit are really nice sounding 👍
It’s a very cool unit with some great tones, still getting my head around it really!
I'm SO TRYING this tonight! Thanks dude
You are most welcome! The assign page really unlocks some cool possibilities!
Incredible video dude, some great insight into how the interface on this unit works 👍
Thanks budge! It can be a challenge to configure on the device but thankfully the editor app is excellent.
Subbed! Thanks… you’re a lifesaver! 😊
Nice one, thank you!
Thank you for the tip!!! Excited to try this out.
You’re welcome, hope it helps you get a bit more out of the unit!
Great video! Really informative.
Thank you kindly!
Really great video and ideas.Well done and thank you .
Thank you, glad you enjoyed and hope it was useful!
Great work around, sir!
Thank you kindly!

Yep, this basically 😁.

Nice 👍 , have question , can you put any number of blocks to any position ? Or it’s all fixed ?? Example , 2 amps , 1 comp , 2 Eq in fixed position
It’s all fixed blocks but some blocks can be used for various effects, some are set eq, amp, delay. They can all be moved around at will though.
Really useful cheers
You’re welcome!
Tidy little hack this! Great find!
Aye gives me the flexibility I need for now!
Thank you so much !!!!

You’re welcome, glad my misery trying to figure it out helped someone 😂

Depends how you want to use it though right?
Thanks. Nice tutorial
You are most welcome!
Great video, I’d argue it’s not really very well hidden as it’s right there in the menu and docs but super powerful features.
Thank you! It’s more the use case I think, I would guess that not many people realise you can use assigns to change the reverb type.
@@PBOD aye it’s a cool feature, definitely something people should be aware of!

It’s a use case for some but not for all
