Dan i must say that im watching your vid for the 2nd time N you R a true genius ^^ coz you R among the very few guitar playas than i've seen over years 2 really get the true power of the GT System .....i mean by this the Divider/Mixer Block Stellar Concept ....which is really killer once you really understand the infinite possibilities offered by these blocks N makes Boss stand apart from competitors IMO !!!!! it's really one of the most powerful tools offered 2 create amazing textures but in a very natural N pleasant way .....not trying to mimic a Synth.....
No one else explained the dynamics and crossovers of the deviders this clearly before! This changed my playing forever. Really appreciate your hard work.
Another VERY important feature, especially for 4- and more-wire users is that Boss has the shortest delay (latency) in the industry and by quite a margin, near 1mS per roundtrip so 4-wire users can expect no latency issues where many leading devices would have literally unusable delay issues. To achieve these unheard of latencies, Boss/Roland must be converting at 96kHz and be using dedicated DSP to run their processes. This is a very high end feature they don’t even talk about. Quite wonderful.
yeah this is the true strenght of the Boss units IMO coz you can achieve very complex N subtle textures better than having hundreds of Amp/Cab-Sims or such (especially with // processing)
This device is awesome. Bought the hx stomp before but within days sold it right away, hated that soapy plastic sound, then bought this one and omg, what a relief, sounds so much better! Awesome review!
Yes is the best video about the GT1000 Core ever, is descrivimi and showing how to change parameters directly from the unit, whole most of the others show the pc application only… great job man!
Also one thing about stompbox mode.. if that stompbox is on a bunch of your other patches, and you want to change a parameter (ex. fuzz is too bright in this venue, turn down the tone), it will change the parameters of that stompbox on ALL of those patches. This way you don't have to adjust it on every single patch.
Great demo!!! The dynamic effects sound so good. All your tones sound great. Someday I will get one of these. I could pair it with my ME 90 or my old TC Electronic G System!
Thanks, very informative, this unit in addition to fx is a full featured mixing console. I was kinda bummed out about it although it sounds great but watching this was very inspiring. One thing I’ve observed is that it sounds very flat out the box and kinda dull but after Eq’ing a little bit, Boom ! Came to life
I've been on the fence about getting on of these, but after watchin you video BOSS should sed you a commission check! You've sold me, brother. Excellent video. Thanks!
Love how that dynamic switching works. I could absolutely imagine creating suspended chords with loads of reverb and delay (Pink Floyd esk), and then lead parts over the top. Great sound. As for 7-cable method, even I’m not that crazy 😆 great video as always man.
Thanks Dan. My unit will come next week. Strangely it was an old GT10 that led me to this. You do have to read the manual for Boss, BUT they have really thought about the live player and I LOVE the way they think. So a little bit of work to set it up, but then thought free operation live! What I have been searching for. Suits me anyway. Great video Dan and great content. Congrats.
Is there ANYTHING Boss has not thought of in such a tiny gem? If this little thing was available as a rack unit not that long ago it would cost as much as a automobile. Incredible.
I have the GT-1000 and have been using the expression pedal to control the mixer output channel. So you can make a dirty channel and a clean channel and mix them at will with the expression pedal. Great for songs that build in intensity.
I've been watching a lot of vídeos abou the Boss Gt 1000 core, and I can, certainly, say that this vídeo is incredible. Not gonna buy one so soon as prices are crazy and I live in Brazil, but It is Nice to get to know the equipment
This detailed video has sold me on the pedal. I've been looking for the best multi-fx unit for my samplers. So many features & I love all the knobs this has. I'd rather use knobs than a wah pedal.
Great instructional video. I have the GX 100 and have been able to apply pretty much all of this towards it. However, if you ever get the opportunity, I’d love a similar video on the GX 100. Especially if you find anything specific to the GX 100. Thanks again for this video.
A very in-Depth review of this killer unit but actually most of these great features such as the ...Div/Mix Blocks...Assign Functions...Input Levels Calibration...Output Mode Select R already included in the Gt100 .....the only few things which gonna make me upgrade 2 the Gt1K is the Dual Mono FX loop ++ The SubMix Outputs with the awesome capability to have activated (or not) the Cab-Sims which greatly lacks in the Gt100 2 record your signal in your A/I (with CabSIms ON) N play on your Kickass Tube Amp without .....N even blend these 2 signals together to achieve a Stellar TonzZ ^¨^ I love your Bluesy Phrasing BTW
Global settings separate the amateur from the pro in multi effects processors. I’m unsurprised Boss has so many of them on offer. Thanks for the excellent review and tutorial.
Here is something that I may already have posed in one of your other videos demonstrating this unit, Mr. Leggatt. Another demo refers to this as completely encapsulating the guts of the 1000 and just putting it in a smaller chassis. One thing I’d like to know is if either unit possessed one feature of the Kemper Profiler and the Line 6 Helix, the ability to receive an external sound and store a digital animation of the sound in its memory. This unit is easily a temptation even without that feature, but I would like to know if it’s there.
I have the mooer ge200... really helped me with the gigs but its a low quality pedal. Boss gt 1000 its a beast. Such a great pedal 👏. You really get what you paid.
Around 2:07 you say BOSS recommends turning off all the blocks before setting the input. Where did you find that info? It seems quite odd to have to do that; seems that if one is setting input gain, no blocks should be turned on by *system* default, so that the unit truly sees only the input gain.
Crossover is amazing - at 10:48, I'm seeing two S/Rs on split channels - are these going to two different amps?. What's the pre-amp set up for this? Cheers!
Great topic for GT vid. They need to let the R and L outputs be configured as mono main and mono sub outs, to allow 2 FX loops to be used along with 2 outputs...or maybe we can do this by turning off stereo link on the cab sim. Not that I ever use 2 output modes simultaneously myself. Still hoping we get per-preset knob assignments one day. Great, clear vid.
Awesome instructional video. I've used the GT-100 for years and am trying to duplicate one of the most useful functions I had set up on the GT-100 but haven't found the equivalent on my new GT-1000...hoping you might know....would be another good 'tip or trick'. That is...I use patch mode & cycle through the 10 - 12 patches that I use on a gig. On the GT-100, each patch switch also functions as an A/B channel switcher so I can have a rhythm amp on Channel A and a lead amp on channel B. So, if using patch 1 for rhythm, I can just stomp on 1 again and have it go to the solo sound (channel B). Stomping on 1 again takes me back to channel A. Hope this makes sense & that it's possible to do on the GT-1000.
This is so useful! I didn't know about the DIR MIX on loops, so I've just been using dividers with my pedal on one route, nothing on the other, then combining them in the merge. DIR MIX is much much cleaner... Guess I should probably read the manual :D
Thanks for watching! New GT1000 video is now live - th-cam.com/video/oqqE572zCJQ/w-d-xo.html

@@lushkordz6643 thank you! Thanks for checking out the video 👍
@@lushkordz6643 Yes, Exactly. I actually rather pity those that have not caught on to this tiny affordable Marvel yet, and, it's TINY and it's a Boss.
This demo was so good it should feature on Boss channel. Remarkable work. Thanks a lot.

The GT1000 should be a course taught in college.
You ain’t kidding!
Your are the master of this device.
😂 I tried to go deep. Not sure I’m the master
This is the most informative video I have seen on the GT 1000 I have seen. Thanks for this!
Really appreciate that, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it 👍
I agree!
I agree to boss has dropped the ball on info
The Dynamic control is a great addition to examples of things people aren't really trying. Nice one.
Cheers Jared! So many options for it to, I’m sure there’s more I haven’t even considered yet. It’s clever stuff!
yeah this is the true strenght of the Boss units IMO coz you can achieve very complex N subtle textures better than having hundreds of Amp/Cab-Sims or such (especially with // processing)
definetly the most interesting feature
Oh my. Dynamic control is a game changer. Thank you for the tip!
No worries!
This device is awesome. Bought the hx stomp before but within days sold it right away, hated that soapy plastic sound, then bought this one and omg, what a relief, sounds so much better! Awesome review!
OMG. I just bought this thing to get rid of clutter on the floor. Now my mind is cluttered. Joking. Excellent video. Roland should be sponsoring you.
One of the most advanced walk through videos of GT1000, thank you.
No worries. Glad it was useful 👍
Very useful video, the instructions that came with my GT1000 are very thin on the ground so these videos are great.
Mate, Boss should pay you to explain how this system works! Top notch explanation.

Bloody hell. A normal TH-cam guitarist! Never thought I'd see the day!
Can’t work out if that’s a compliment or not? 🤣
Great demo!!! The dynamic effects sound so good. All your tones sound great. Someday I will get one of these. I could pair it with my ME 90 or my old TC Electronic G System!
Thanks, this is so informative. I've gone back several times to remember some of those features.
Now THIS is what we experts like to see! Thanks, Dan, great stuff.

Thank you 👌

Glad I could help!
Thanks for all of these videos. You sold me on the GT1000Core. It's now a part of the rig. Gracias!

Naaa you need at least 7 cable mate! 😂 Yeah you could definitely do that kind of thing. I think I’ve only just scratched the surface so far.
late to the game,..
need 7 cable
This shows that just plugging in and playing doesn't necessarily get you the best tones! Ha! Superb mate.
Great video man. Thanks for doing a video on the GT1000's other cool capabilities. There's plenty of videos on the basic stuff.
Cheers 👍

Great explanation on not so obvious points. The Gt-1000 core is by far my favorite stomp and I had have a few..
Great video. Such clarity on some pretty complex features. This is definitely going on my wish list!
Amazing information. Thank you for your in depth explanations. I just ordered one of these and can’t wait to dive in!
This video made me decide on this pedal over others. I LOVE FGN guitars as well, I have one and it's quite impeccable!
You are back with more GT-1000 glory!!! Good stuff man! Love it
Cheers! Thanks for watching 👍
this should be considered a Master Class
Thanks! Glad it was helpful 👍
incredibly good explanation - especially the output options (send/return) to use the device with a real amplifier - very good job! 🎸🎸🎸
Great and useful video for many, mate. Longtime and avid Boss user here. Great weekend to you and stay safe.
