Thing I appreciate about you, Manny, is your forethought and adaptability. That’s the difference in amateur versus professional photographers. Shape the light and use what’s around you. Getting complete strangers to follow instructions when they don’t have to. Love it. Nice work.

It is so awesome to see how the mirrorless tech is pushing more creativity now that people aren't bound to a tiny portion AF cluster on the center of the frame, being able to shoot wide open, with precision and in almost every part of the frame without recomposing!!! :) this is sooooooo cool! Beautiful shots Manny!
I'm glad you are working hard to overcome your shyness Manny! Old Manny wouldn't have asked the couple to help with the shot!! Beautiful photos as always man!!!

I don't think it matters what camera system you use Manny. You and any other skilled photographer will be able to capture amazing photos with any camera system.
It's great to see that Canon has improved their camera with the latest firmware to keep up with their awesome glass.

Not true, unfortunately. These shots would suck if they were taken on something like a T6 because of the horrible low light performance, even with low ISO.

Super dope to see you giving Canon another chance. I'm in the same bolt myself but trying to stay put while waiting for the unicorn A7SIII. I was getting bored with my A7III & almost jumped ship but I started playing around with flash photography & kinda sparked my love for Sony again. Winter & beginning of next year should be an interesting time. Looking forward to more videos with you & the canon gear. Really helps us all in getting a different perspective. Cheers

I shot Canon for 14 years, switched to Sony for over a year with the a7iii and couldn't go back to Canon soon enough as soon as the RP got good eye AF and the price dropped to $999. Sony skin tones and colors are awful compared to Canon and Sony has nothing that comes close to the RF 50 and 85 f/1.2 portrait lenses.

Curious about your thoughts on the Canon RP now that it has improved AF and 24fps in 1080p? I'm sure it's not something you'd reach for, but can't decide if I'd rather save the cash purchasing the RP and getting better glass, or just go for the EOS R. Asking as a hobbyist photographer and videographer, and hoping to up my game over the years. Cheers from Brisbane Australia 🇦🇺🙏

@@anthonyc1883 the 5D Mk3 was an aberration when it comes to jpegs. Search the subject on the internet. You'll find a number of articles that talk about the 5D Mk3's over saturated jpegs. I actually had two Canons before the 5D Mk3, and yeah, the jpegs were fine. Not this Canon, however. The good thing about it, is it forced me to learn how to edit RAWs.

Really nice photos there. It's good to try out gear. Knowing what various cameras can do first-hand brings options to a photographer's toolset. The little details of equipment, like you were saying, such as if a camera tends to focus on the eye or eyelash is key to getting what's wanted out of a tool.

    Love your videos Manny.
Very interested to see how the canon 85 holds up to the gmaster. I used that lens 90% of the time on the a7r3 and couldn’t fault it but decided to buy the xt3 for the film simulations, build quality and functionality. (Definitely the most enjoyable camera to shoot.) I also recently picked up the eos r with the 35 1.8 as I am very interested in the new L lenses coming out. Especially the smaller 70 200. What I didn’t expect was how good the files looked with a cheap 35mm. Much better then the Fuji and also the Sony in my opinion. My biggest gripe with the eos r is the control layout. I have customised the the Touch Bar for white balance and the dpad to move the focus points. I disabled touch and drag as I kept moving my focus point with my nose. It’s not a bad setup I just need to build muscle memory with this setup as I am a bit slower using this setup compared to the Fuji xt3 but the image quality is well worth it and I don’t need to use capture one which is a bonus for me. But my workflow for the fujifilm was shoot on cloudy white balance with flash and set colour to provia and I usually just converted to jpeg as everything was perfect.
