- How good was Gennaro Gattuso actually? #GOAT
New video about one of the best defensive midfielders that had an immense impact for AC Milan in the 2000s. In this episode we take on Gennaro Gattuso who played for Salernitana, Rangers and AC Milan for most of his career and won multiple trophies.

Dude would never last 2 mins on the pitch today. Come on , what are we glorifying here ? Fouls and attempted leg breakers ?
What are you talking about man. The guy was a key component for championship teams. Both international and club. Every young player should aspire to play with hos tenacity and spirit. Because that guaruntees you playing time and it makes you a difference maker. Not everyone is going to be that talented phenom
@@porkwop9171 game has evolved , VAR is here . Slide tackles and screaming at refs and all that will get you carded quickly today. The DM position has revolutionized by the likes of Busque and Kante , Rice etc . You no longer have to run around fouling , read the game and intercept. His brand of football is obsolete
@@questioneverything751 acting like all he did was commit fouls and yell at refs is super short sighted. And its easy to say his brand of futbol wouldnt work now when the guy is years retired. Pretty convenient.
@@porkwop9171 yah back when the rules allowed you to chop a player after missing the ball😂
@questioneverything751 don't forget how social media will eat him up😂
He wasn't better than Kante
He was
He stayed on top for more than 10 years, kanté was great for about 4 years, so what are you talking about
@@Sup7569 hell noo😂😂
@omaraskri7901 those 6 years of Kante in the top level brought more, the stats back him
He is never better than Kante, Kante is better than Gattuso in every aspect of the beautiful game...
Not good at all
Where do you base this opinion? He was considered the heart and the leader of that Milan Team.
@@GoalRevolution Baresi, Maldini were the leaders
@markriobr They were leaders as in terms of captain and defense but Gattuso's Grinta lighted a fire in everyone to be so fearless... Everyone on that Ac Milan side knew if they had beef with the opponent, Gattuso would be there to defend the squad and be there for everyone
Gattussos style of play is what every young up and coming futbol player should aspire to be unless you are a phenom talent. Not everyone is. But he became a backbone and was guarunteed to get minutes and to be a difference maker
@@porkwop9171 He was never a Baresi, Maldini, players you look up to. Agree he always played with is heart out and very intense, many occasins plain dirty. Just my opinion
