- How good was Filippo Inzaghi - Player who defied logic, one frequently described as being the best terrible footballer of all time. Because objectively speaking, he wasn’t good at the things that most footballers were supposed to be good at.
He was football pared back to its most elemental and basic parts. No frills, nothing fancy, nothing extraneous.
The only thing Inzaghi could really do was score goals, and herein perhaps lies the central reason why he was so loved and admired. For all the noise around football, for all the discussion of tactics and systems and philosophies, ultimately the only things that really matter are the goals. Inzaghi was not only just good at the only thing that really matters, but the only thing that really mattered to him was the only thing that really matters. - กีฬา
Hi, if you like the anime, there's an anime wich the protagonist is based on Inzaghi, it's name is Blue Lock :D
Thanks for the info I will definitely check it out.
yes and the main charachter is named isagi which sounds like inzaghi
Yea the main character name is isagi which obviously inzaghi
Inzaghi basically: why dribble if I can just score?
Inzaghi is that player that says "I don't know how I will score but I'm scoring no matter what" ruthless aggression
Yeah, I he was the definition of a player who is always in the right place in the right time.
He wasn't fast but had SUPERPOWER Accelerations, was predator and his finishing and reactions were GODLIKE Level
Very MC vibe
Very cool footballer. He has scored goals in many ways. left foot, right foot, volley, half volley, bicycle kick, heading, flying header, free kick, penalty, solo run, long range, one on one and other ways. He was very good. He has done his job perfectly. There are too many useless theories about him and sometimes it's a bit insulting to his abilities.
Damn that so true. He was really damn good striker.
Inzaghi was always at right place and mostly at right time by sheer goddamn will. He didn't had any outstanding ability but that's why you can't prepare to play against him. He lived football.
Yeah, and also the ability to score tap ins is also a skill in itself and people shouldn't be looking down on players who are doing that. If that was simple everyone would be doing that. Inzaghi was the master of scoring those kind of goals and the importance of those players are underestimated.
He had GODLIKE
-Acceleration (short runs) he knew his skills and was always on the defensive line because he could reach max speed even before the defenders start running that gave him big advantage in short runs
-Anticipation - Godlike prediction of where the ball would go
- Amazing shooting technique, could finish with some weird shots
-Great Header
these are skills my friend
He had great finishing, these idiots listen to the English idiots who know nothing about football, Inzaghi scored 70 goals in European football, compare that to Henry who could only muster 43, Inzaghi was an absolute beast of a footballer. In 2003 he was our top scorer even outscoring Sheva.
Gotta love how when the ball deflected off the post or from some other players, everyone was being confused while Inzaghi already collected the ball and scored.
People underestimate the importance of positioning, and Inzaghi is a master. That’s why he beat so many offside traps in his career. He was so effective because he didn’t care about scoring fancy goals.
As isagi said it doesn't matter if you cant reproduce your goals over and over
I'm a Milan fan since a kid, like 1988. I've seen the best of the best wear our shirt and accomplish wonders for it. Even so, falling Pippo pretty short in skills compared to monsters like Gullit, or Savicevic, or Van Basten, Shevchenko, Ibra - even so, no striker made me scream and cry so loud and joyful as Pippo. What he did in the 2007 final what his trademark, not short of marvelous, but the goal he accomplished against Ajax in the last moments of 2003 UCL in and out match was the greatest, purest joy I felt as a football fan. Possibly second only to that wonder moment created by Almunia and Deeney for Watford.
Maybe he wasn't fast but his acceleration, reaction time and anticipation were something GODLIKE
Other strikers being strong, ability to dribble, kicking power etc
" I'm not afraid of the man who practiced 10,000 kicks one time
I'm afraid of the man who practiced 1 kick 10,000 times ". - Bruce lee
And I think inzaghi perfectly reflects Bruce Lee's words
All he had was positioning and finishing
And still finished his career as one of the best strikers of that era
+ Acceleration and reaction time. Maybe he wasn't fast but he well knew his attributes, he had GODLIKE acceleration and that's why he played on the line all time. In few meters sprint he was off before the defenders could even start running that's what made him GREAT also
Positioning and finishing 2 of the most important attributes for a Striker
He had GODLIKE or 99 points:
-Acceleration (short runs) he knew his skills and was always on the defensive line because he could reach max speed even before the defenders start running that gave him big advantage in short runs
-Anticipation - Godlike prediction of where the ball will go and position himself
-Amazing shooting technique, could finish with some weird shots
-Great Header of the ball
these are skills my friends
you forgot one main attribute if i may, it s ball protection (especially in the 18 yard box) and it s so insanely good considering his frail physique
@@mouad19 true could make himself look big in that big Milan jersey
Haaland is the closest thing to him in the game even though haaland is bigger and faster
yeah people say he doesn't have great dribbling but he can sure as heck retain the ball in the box
He was born offside but still became a multi champion.. not many can say this. #ForzaMilan
You don't need to be good at dribbling or passing if you're THAT good at positioning. Why would I need to dribble when I can be at the perfect place at the perfect time and score the winning goal? No one gives a shit if you dribbled after a game is over, all they look at it is the score. And Inzaghi was in a class of his own.
Acceleration and finishing were his attributes. He wasn't fast in long runs but definitely his acceleration and reflexes were GODLIKE level.
I'll never forget when real madrid played milan in the CL. Mourinho said pre match 'the only player i fear is Pippo' he came off the bench to score 2 goals and it ended up 2-2. I believe this was his last season as a player
Yes unforgettable game , he entered and turned up side down the match in front of a astonished Mou .
He dribble around the goalkeep as only Ronanldo did, and still people says he cant dribble
He was born offside
Yeah, that's the first thing most people say when they think of Inzaghi, however it's more complicated than that.
He was born with sister
no ..insting
@@overthinkingfootball. it's just a quote from Alex Ferguson
So happy I ran into this channel. I'm binging your videos now! They're great
Pippo was awesome. Just a pure finisher
The most impredictable attacker , and able to score in any ways . And his goals are always beautiful and so brilliant .
You don't score 70 goals in European Football by being a bad footballer, by comparison Henry only scored 43. He had great finishing, these idiots listen to the English idiots who know nothing about football, Inzaghi scored 70 goals in European football, compare that to Henry who could only muster 43, Inzaghi was an absolute beast of a footballer. In 2003 he was our top scorer in the Champions League even outscoring Sheva. Remember only CR7, Messi, Lewandowski, Benzema, and Raul ever scored more than SuperPippo.
He is the master of time and space
He is still my football idol :)
Is it just because his goal scoring ability or is there something else?
@@overthinkingfootball. his passion , ability to sneak between anyone and his clinical finishing moves are so great , nowadays we can't find anyone like he used to play , I kinda find myself in him somehow because of lacking strength and strong physique ,but able to score goals against tough defenders. ( I am amateur , the comparison was simply based on physique).
@@SHADOWZXF That's good point and you definitely have a good football idol.
My favorite Football player of all Times ❤❤❤
My all time favourite player 💯
The best inside box player in history💪🔥.. Pippo was the most dangerous fox in the box💪
Inzaghi was a phenomenal
The nightmare of everylines man
Me thinks goal scoring and good attackers is more of strong desire and instinct. These ranks more than excellent football skills.
He's not a terrible footballer. He's world class in finishing, world class in positioning, world class in one on ones, world class in heading. He may not be that kind of target man people want who can work the ball and shield the ball and run against opposition with the ball, but if you can work a through pass, play a one two, Inzaghi will poach on the goal and slot home because he's right up there as one of the best center forwards
Hes so good they made an anime character based on him
My favo ITA player of all time
Im pretty sure a lot of teams rather have a Pippo than any other of those top scorers...
Absolutely and also he would be an amazing asset in some teams right now. Chelsea for example
the one who is unseen yet so loud.
Amazing he scored goals from balls which other strong strikers couldn't even stop
He wasnt good, but he was not bad. But, he was dangerous, and that my friend is the main element when you are looking for an striker
I like the comparison with early punk bands, though he lasted much longer than any of those
Absolute and utter nonsense. Denigrating Super Pippo's footballing ability is a generalising load of utter nonsense. He was a great player.
I bet he has scored with every single body part thats legal
His Luck is unbeatable. Opposite of Lukaku. His Potitioning and instinct is key. But his Luck... Its Unbeatable.
Ice in the veins
If you wanna talk about bad footballer look at maguire
inzaghi just "bad" at some basic but excel in another
maguire is good at being a fridge.
Inzaghi falling on his face and still scoring 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
and won the title with offside goals
And today all clubs and national teams need striker like him...striker with one chance one goal 😂😂😂

penomenal player
Football is easy... I get the ball, I shoot, I score, I win World cup and UCL
This is a very misleading video. If you saw young Inzaghi in the 90s, he had the Romario /Cruyff turn (without the elegance) and had a deadly shot, as you can with the number of first time volleys in this video, and outside of Romario, he had the best anticipation of any striker in his generation. Simply put, Inzaghi knew where the ball was gonna be and put himself there, no need for pace, or dribble. Also he's one of the deadliest half chance finishers ever.
It's just later on in his career he was old and yet was relying more on the reading of the game and not some of the explosiveness he had at Juventus for example. But don't be fooled.
There's literally a TH-cam tutorial video showing Inzaghi and th art of turning a defender, if you can create that much space and goal scoring chances then you don't no fancy footwork.
His biggest strength is Beating offsides 🤣
"That Lad(Inzaghi) born offside"
-Sir Alex Ferguson
70 goals in European football puts guys like Henry to shame, you don't just score out of pure luck, we know the Brits hate the Italians because they just do football better, and prove it every time
Bro's the definition of a goal poacher
Haaland is this type of player. No amazing skills, just pure goalscorer
If you don’t consider being a freak of nature, practically built in a lab to play striker, an amazing skill, then maybe…
Haaland has a more muscle, Inzaghi was basically skinny guy scoring goals, but I could agree that he hasn't showed any amazing skills, just bagging goals
@@samig9032 that's just his body structure. What I meant with skills, is doing the neymar, messi, skills in a game.
haaland has speed, height, strenght and power shoot. inzaghi was pure vision, instinct and cold blood
haaland is more like didier drogba. strong and fast..
Familiar name. Chelsea?
You mean that there was someone like Inzaghi in Chelsea or there is someone like Inzaghi in Chelsea right now?
In my opinion the class of inzaghi is the same with ronaldo el fenomeno, the difference are only the way and the condition. R9 with technic and skills then inzaghi with instinct and his prolific finish
2007 AC Milan + relatively weak = NO.
if you put background music on i would listen but its kinda awkward with u just talking to me like this
Thanks for the advice, I will definitely try that in one of my next videos.
Inzaghi only run during celebrations
Kick power lol
He was never that prolific.
Literally haaland, He is so boring and relies on his teammates.
