@Llify I mean if you accidently pause in your own combo you'd have to pick up where it left off. A lot times if both agreed to even let it run, you'd have to know the last timing. In tournament set I don't see that happening, especially if they're playing for money. Then you gotta continue the next game a game down and possibly fighting from an abrupt momentum stop. Not saying someone still wins but mentally that does affect people in live tournaments. That actually happened to my opponent he paused and it triggered him and he fucking raged. I said let it run but he was so fucked in the head from his own shit, that I won the set and advanced. @@GamerHeavenOfficial Great vid but you missed one thing, if you use wired mode on PC and boot up fortnite, the touchpad is incompatible on PC. I reached out to Victrix and they advised this as well. For all the money you pay for this, I expected to bind whatever buttons I feel like, even the touchpad. That was a deal breaker for me and sent it back for a refund.
I love this controller. The ONLY thing I wish it had was rumble and haptics. I liked the DS edge but the only thing it was missing was four rear buttons. So close to perfect.
It's funny because those are features I absolutely didn't mind not having. In competitive games I turn them off. I also don't mind not having the adaptive triggers because the feature is distracting and provides more points of failure for the controller.
Having both the Edge and Victrix Pro BFG I honestly don't notice the lack of vibration or haptics like I thought I would. Playing shooters I was definitely far more accurate with the BFG than I was with the Edge. I used it in the PlayStation configuration and it just feels better in hand to me. The Edge does feel more premium though. Still the 20hr battery life is definitely something I appreciate. Using the Edge with haptics and vibration off to mimic the BFG still only got me like 7hrs battery.
@@haymkrr yea , its still great . Not using it a lot rn since i dont play cod rn but its still waaay better than my dualsense edge , especially with how much longer the battery lasts
As soon as I saw this controller I knew this would be perfect for the steamdeck. It would keep me prepared for alot more situations and I would not need to pack multiple controllers. MIne came a couple of days and I like it alot, Great review!
OMG, i just got this thing. I bought a PS5 2 months ago (lifetime Xbox and PC player). I cannot use the F'n Dualsense for more than like 30 minutes. It was hard to justify $180 just for the Xbox shell and stick layout - I also have the Gambit - which is okay but the back buttons suck. I can imagine lifetime Sony users disliking this thing... unless specifically for the fightpad... but this is the answer for Xbox controller lovers wanting to play a few PS5 games! Back buttons honestly fit my fingers better than any other controller I've tried too! Spot on with your descriptions.
I used to run large (100+ people) fighting game tournaments. Tournament mode is probably referring to the rules in those tournaments. If someone hits pause or any of those buttons to pull you out of the combat in a fighting game. That person, even if accident, loses that set. (sometimes if their opponent says it's okay they are allowed a reset of the match. But I never recommend they do this) So that's what it means if "kicked out of the tournament" as you might already be in losers bracket and barely surviving your second set out of three of you slip on finger sweat and pause the game. I've seen it happen. It sucks. But some people do use it to cheat. So blanket rule. This is also why fight sticks have their pause buttons and stuff on the back of the board from you, so it's harder and very improbable that you accidentally hit one.
@@GamerHeavenOfficial that is something I hope they do in the Xbox version of this controller slated for release in February. This may be my next new controller instead of the turtle beach ultra.
This controller is fantastic, it is by far the best value for your money. Iv had mine for a year and it works very well. I had a small issue with a rear button, contacted support, they paid for my shipping and replaced it within 7 days. For 180$ you can't even get close to anything this good.
@@johnrambo9104 7.4 so slightly below average size yeah, the Xbox controller is super comfortable to me and this is close to that so for anyone like me I think it’s great
@@johnrambo9104 never heard of the thrustmaster but it looks really good actually. Assuming it doesn’t play ps5 games though? That’s been a massive pain in the ass for me, there’s hardly any alternatives out there
Hi, i do own one of these and i'm good with this controller. If the PS5 Edge would have had 4 paddles, the Edge would be the one for me 💁🏻♂️. Fair & unspoilt, it's the best review i"ve seen on YT. ✌️ 🇩🇪
Great reviews as always. Saved me from buying quite a few controllers I had my eyes on. I mainly wanted a premium controller that works well for Street Figher 6 as well, but for 200 EUR I feel like they need to make it feel somewhat premium. I've seen other reviewers give it the "squish test" and it sound like a rusty ass door. Hope PFP's next installment gets more love on that front.
I 100% agree with this review and it definitely is the most thorough… although build quality isn’t the greatest, it does it’s job well when playing shooters. KontrolFreeks thumb enhancements don’t fit but their precision ring works great on it.
I just bought mine, and I'm not getting the criticism; either pdp fixed that issue, or I'm just not trying to strangle my controller the same way everyone else is lol
those ferrules have magnets in them and condition the current passing through the wires, reducing noise. They're not useless, they're just not necessary in most use cases. MFGs build them in for the small percentage of people with noise coming across their USB bus for whatever reason
Love the detailed vid bro. I just got controller yesterday at bestbuy. I think they fix some of the things u mention. When i heard and seen u sqeeze the controller and it made all that noise. I was like wtf. But it fills like it harder now and mine did not do that.
I LOVE the placement of the 4 back buttons on the Victrix bfg pro controller , it feels the closest to elite series 2 of any controller you will find for ps5 . So far I’ve tried scuf and battle beaver and the Victrix bfg pro is my favorite ps5 pro controller by far
Have you been able to get the controller to turn on the PS5 while on sleep mode? I have the usb plugged in and when I hit the ps button it just keeps flashing
Thank you Gamer Heaven for this honest review. I bought mine on February the 3rd in Marseille France in an official reseller store (Micromania, a GameStop subsidiary in France). I returned it back to the store 5 days later Like you I was impressed by the modularity option that comes with the pad .... Yet I quickly got upset by 3 things: Battery life first . The "upto 20h" advertised by the manufacturer is a hoax. Without the led and without plugging headset in, you get barely 11h on PS5. 7 to 8h with headset plugged in. The headjack port is poor quality. My headset mic was never recognised correctly. It is with the normla dual sense pad and my elitesm S2. Finnaly The software: you'll just get an update day one and that's it. Pdp didn't yet released an other update to activate the button remap via their hub software. In addition the customer service is almost non existent. They never came back to me despite my 2 long emails written in English. No more pdp products for me in the future. This pad have been released unfinished. Returned it and got myself a COupon of 200e to preorder the dual sense edge. End of story.
Man these are the reviews I was hoping for. In depth analysis with objective information and subjective input/ opinion. Minus the fanboy state of mind.
I watched the intro back like a hundred times after I edited it, I think it turned out sick lol. Controller "BFG", Doom "BFG" it fits perfectly. You are very welcome.
Let’s not forgot that stock drift is innately present with any stock based custom controller. 😂 I just got the COD Las Almas gold version of this beast during amazon’s recent sale for only $169.99…and I love it!
This dude the goat just bought one to see if I like it and I think they fixxed some of the build issues cause I can't get it to flex like you did in the video and I ride crotch rockets for fun so it's not a grip issue I think they added a few supports or somthin the triggers still sound hollow asf tho wish ya could put like hot glue or puddy in the triggers to make em sound a bit better but I'm sure it would affect the way it works if I did
That intro was great. Made me stop and think 'oh shit, this is gunna be good, and I cancelled the pre order" . In the end I went with the edge just because of all the delays. Dunno why they didn't give you one earlier, best review.
As someone who has more controllers than necessary, I think the missing thing about your reviews is a proper review on the dpad for fighting games. Too often, I bought controllers that have too stiff dpads, or the opposite, mushy ones. As a reference, the DS4 dpad is a tad stiff and while I can still be accurate with it, it ain't good for long sessions of SF6. The retro-bit Sega Genesis ones are the best silicone ones, while I think the Flydigi Apex 3's microswitches one are top tier for accuracy and comfort.
this controller has a lot of potential if they use premium quality materials instead of cheap shyt, best controller on the market hands down. some billionaire needs to buy the company and provide funding so they could improve the build quality
Just bought this. Not sure if it has changed but I think it feels really good and not cheap at all…… apart from the triggers. Very comfortable, back buttons feel and position are great. From the reviews I was pleasantly surprised how good the controller is……… but…. Going back and forth from this to the standard dual sense, the dual sense in game for fps games (COD etc), feels noticeably smoother and easier to aim with. Only reason I’m sending it back. Shame because it feels great……….. note, I’m shite at fps games to take it as you will. Also, I have been using the GameSir g7 se on the pc for a while now so used to light controllers. This doesn’t feel as light as the g7.
Damn i was interested in this controller but being polling rate locked is just a no go for me nowadays! Sticking to my custom dualsense for now lol. Great review kev
can you even tell the difference? I have this controller and literally thought it was more responsive than my ps5 controller till I just saw this video.
@@progz5232 95% of gamers cant tell the difference, they just do their fancy polling tests and see a number difference and think its making an impact in how they play but the reality is its irrelevant in almost every case.
@@progz5232 same. I have elite series 2, razer wolverine v2 pro, and a modded dual sense and although all of them have a better polling rate, I’m more accurate and feel like the bfg is more responsive which is against logic based on the data. Shrugs

best reviewer. just checked out five other reviewers that were recommended on top of your video. NONE of them actually showed how the back button positioning is with your fingers. Do these people even play video games? It is so important considering someone could be used to scuf reflexs solution for example (awful solution btw)
@@GamerHeavenOfficial np. i've been watching you for a while actually and meant to say something like this for a long time but I am just lazy. Anyways keep it up
i was looking at this controller and glad i saw the review but i don't think i was going to get one anyway. my hesitance was for a different reason. i'm concerned about the fact that it's a modular controller. i had an Astro C40 for my PS4 and after about four months the L3 (press in on the left stick) stopped working. i ended having to map a back button for it as i play a lot of FPS and the L3 is setup as the "run" action which is definitely needed in these types of games. not sure if this would have the same issue or not but didn't want to drop another $180 (there is now a $200 call of duty limited edition version as well) to have that happen again. didn't know as much about the build quality but glad you got in depth on those as well.
I have the controller. I ordered it in November and they just sent it last Saturday lol smh(Amazon). Your review is spot on. My biggest complaint is the build quality. I feel like im going to get a hairline fracture in whatever board is inside eventually. That said the controller is comfortable like you said. I bought the controller because it covered my competitive shooter and fighting game needs at the same time. That's why I went with it instead of the DualSense Edge. I actually ran into an issue with mine already and that is that the dongle failed during the update and will not turn on at all now. So im in the process trying to get another one from PDP. In the meantime, i'm using it wired and having fun with it.😊
Finally... been waiting for this one :D I cancelled my pre-order after it got delayed for the 3rd or 4th time and now I'm not really regretting it... the low build quality is really killing it. A huge part of a controller is how it feels and if it feels cheap and frail then it's not a good buy in the long run
Great review as usual! Mine is still on preorder so who knows when it arrives. I love the short trigger travel but the input delay is concerning when compared to the Edge. Then again, I’m no esports athlete so my KD rating probably won’t even notice!
Thanks Darren. Hopefully soon, where did you order from? Yeah input delay isn't a personal concern of mine either, but the Edge has impressed me over the last few days, I'm actually liking those metal half domes on the back, and the rubber grips feel wonderful
I ordered from Walmart Canada but it keeps getting pushed back. I’m debating trying to cancel the preorder and go for the Edge. The build quality just seems so much better and the integration with the PS5 seems so seamless. Keep up the awesome work!
Was able to try the Edge, Razer Wolverine, and this Victrix. I couldn't get used to only have two paddles, so the Edge was out. The Razer, as you said, was super uncomfortable. Who tested that? The Victrix was super comfy, 4 buttons and honestly haven't minded the build quality at all. Appreciate your reviews to set expectations but always good to try yourself as well.
Crazy that the build quality is not great because their fightstick quality are amazing they’re built with anodized aluminum and use sanwa parts for the buttons and lever
For anyone stumbling across this comment, I tried tearing the Victrix Pro BFG down. Some notes, 1. You can't tear the controller itself down, only the modules. For some reason, the base shell is probably glued shut so you can't look at the board. What this means, if your trigger system breaks, your start/select/function/touchpad/backbuttons/trigger stops/triggers/rb/lb break, you have to contact PDP support to get a new controller, it isn't designed so you can fix it yourself. 2. What's interesting is, the modules have screws on the back holding the components in place. Something else that's interesting, the magnetic functionality of them is what's communicating with the controllers PCB in the main controller case, kinda like Hall Effect sensors. You can totally make the base Square, Circle, Triangle, and Cross mechanical--- if you can get another PCB. Yep. The modules have small PCB's on them with the connector to the main PCB just being a soldered on magnetic reader. Pretty interesting. 3. They use magnetic technology, but for some reason do not use hall effect sensors. What? To cut costs? They cut out haptic motors, true switch click for trigger stops, haptic triggers, bluetooth, touchpad (yes, the touchpad is there, but it doesn't work like a touchpad.), cheap thumbstick caps that wear down within a couple of months, AND they shaped their analog base domes in such a way that you can't replace them with current after market ones. Why? So you stay with PDP products and not after market or stock thumbsticks, even though after market products are inherently better. So they can justify their $180 price tag for a $100 controller. 4. The funny thing about this controller is that it makes no sense. It's built like a $100 controller, comes with the features of a $100 controller, cuts out necessary products to make it feel premium, and I can't figure out for the life of me why they priced it with such a high profit margin. The buttons/analog sticks are easily accessible with 2 to 4 screws on the modules, and you can replace the petentiometer thumbsticks with other petentiometer thumbsticks. (This one uses orange plastic, the green plastic will fit, but you need to de-solder the orange one and solder a new green one on.) So for some reason they allow you replace certain parts of the modules but not the controller itself. It makes 0 sense to me 5. The controller feels extremely comfortable-- if you have small or medium sized hands. If you have large hands, your pinkys will droop down the ends of the grips. So this was not designed for people with big hands, unfortunately. This could've be remedied by lengthening the grips down ~2-3 more inches. They're not using the plastic as it is for anything in the grips (due to the missing haptic motors in general.) So I can't figure out some of the design choices on this controller. 6. I'm fairly positive ExtremeRate will come out with replacement thumbsticks for the Victrix Pro BFG and the dual sense edge. Fun fact for the Dual Sense edge, it uses a BDM-030 button-circuit, so in theory you should be able to add additional buttons to them with a modchip like from Console Customs (Evil Controllers parts), or Bitro (German website that uses cheap switches and modchips, but the prices are cheap.) All in all, if you want an xbox style controller, and you have smaller hands, look for a used one for ~$120-$140, because that's about the price that this is worth. If you prefer Playstation style controllers, go for the Dualsense Edge, Aim Controllers, Evil Controllers, or even Cinch gaming (but don't get cinches 4 back button design unless you're used to hitting all 4 back buttons with 2 fingers.) Or, you can save yourself even more money by just getting an Extremerate kit, a bitro kit (paddle or buttons), or just buy console custom modchip with switches and make your own custom controller. Really, the only purpose for the Victrix Pro BFG in any real sense, is that you can have an xbox style controller on Playstation 4, 5, and PC. Lastly, and the biggest what in tarnation I've come across, the victrix pro bfg's computer software allows you to set deadzones for triggers, but it doesn't work. Like, at all. It has 0 functionality. It's based on a sensor for how far you pull the trigger down, but it's extremely sensitive with or without the trigger stop engaged, and the deadzone slider on the software does absolutely nothing. 0 and 20 are the exact same.
They just don’t have replacement modules available yet because they obviously had a difficult enough time just to get the damn controller out, plus they probably wanted to see how much Sony was going to charge for their replacements and adjust their modules from their as well.
Those “plastic haunches” or “tootsie rolls” DO serve a purpose! They are ferrite beads/ferrite chokes. They filter out high frequency electrical noise that can cause interference. Now you know. And knowing is half the battle.
Maybe it's just my controller and it's just user preference but the Triggers are very very sensitive even in the lowest setting. Barely resting my fingers on the trigger will activate the trigger pull which is great in some scenarios when you are trying to rapid fire a semi auto but it also results in unintended fire.
I like the round bulbous design of the lower PS4 controller. I struggle to get with the xbox design where the lower hand grips taper--feels like my ring and pinky have nothing to grip around
As much as I want to try this controller out.... my xbox version got bad stick drift within 6 weeks of purchase. I'm so skeptical of trying this brand again.
Thanks for the review. Got this bad boy in the mail earlier today and it will be going back to Best Buy unopened. Already purchased a Dualsense Edge last week & with an Astro C40 also in my possession for PS4 games & a couple of Hori Fighting Commanders, this has no place in my collection for the asking price. Saving some dinero for other fine controllers is a win in my book!
The polling rate was a real surprise. Imagine creating the fastest Xbox controller (Gambit at 500hz) and then your next controller in the same line is the slowest PS5 controller, polling rate locked at 125hz... The stock PS5 Dualsense has a wired polling rate of 250hz. What a huge shame.
One thing I was hoping with these PS5 Pro controllers was a tension adjuster like the Xbox Elite, moved over to PS recently due to most games I play either being exclusives or cross play but that tension adjuster on the Elite was awesome.
P yeah, it's great that you can adjust the sticks on an Xbox elite controller. Unfortunately what you can adjust is the terrible bumpers the horrible a button and any other switch inside the actual controller. After 2 months of use I have had four and they suck
Controller El-Capitaan! I appreciate your dead honest review because im seriously considering purchasing this controller...Just for interests sake... Can the right stick be swapped around like the left stick can?
Awesome review. I was about to get this until you announced the crap build quality and the fact that the thumbsticks are not interchangeable. Sony is getting my money.
When I originally saw the promo material for this, I was excited that the modules could've been separate blocks rather than half of the controller. Some people want the return of the Wii U Pro controller layout, both sticks at the top. There's been quite a bit of talk about some people wanting a 'left-handed' controller, though controllers don't really have a handedness to them. Hell, even two sticks on one side with the fight pad on the other, very limited use case but I'm sure someone could find a use for it, especially with a reverse claw grip. This would've made replacement modules simpler, as if one portion dies you just need that individual block and not half of the controller. Though, are the retention plates all that necessary anyways, even if you want a retention mechanism they should've just used a swappable front shell, which they've done in the past with the Gambit; the screw-down plates just seem unnecessary when so many companies, including themselves, are already chasing the magnetic front plate idea. PDP's typical quality doesn't surprise me. I'd expect the next major Victrix controller to be even closer to PDP's bargain bin quality. The wavy dpad wheel is interesting, though I think it might be a bit more useful inversed, where the 45s are raised rather than sunken in. The square dish essentially does this, but keeps the 90s and 45s at the same height.
That error youre getting is because you don’t have the right upper or lower class filters, I ran into this same issue and they ended up sending me a file that updated the filters in my registry to get it working. The app isn’t yet updated for full pro bfg compatibility but there are 2 updates you need that you can only get from that app
Just bought one used. Took it apart since I’m a mechanic and like taking shit apart for inspections. The connectors of the modules had corrosion so I cleaned it off with a soft brush and it’s nice and clean. It’s running fine playing FF7R but it’s wired I’m not sure how to work it wirelessly hence that’s why I’m snooping around The big bad YT.
My current favorite controller is Astro with battle beavers heavy extreme tension toggles. Regardless of the issue with the wear and tear of the 2 back buttons I love that controller. I recieved my Pro BFG yesterday and wish the build quality felt like my asto. I have to get use to the less tension from the thumbs stick since I love the heavy tension from battle beaver offers on the c40. I hove battle beaver will offer replacements for the BFG and offer the extreme tension. But I did enjoy using this PRO BFG controller with the extra 2 back buttons compared to my c40. I'm really going to miss using my c40 😔 now that I'm going to make the BFG my main first-person shooter controller.
Great looking controller and fighting game option but weak & cheap build kills it for me, so far the DualSense Edge take it all the way even though it only has 2 back button option, my wish list would be to make a drift free stick option even if it’s a little more than the $20 option we have now and that would make it complete and 99% perfect 👍🏼 at least for me 😊
They have the option for swappable joysticks because Sony has absolutely no intent on releasing a stick that doesn't need to be replaced. The Dualsense Edge is a controller designed to siphon money out of consumers for when their controllers inevitably start to drift.
Im still using the normal dualsense and I've been on the fence for the longest time. If the edge hadn't been released I would've gotten the hypr, but now I can't really decide anymore 😅
Don’t get the hypr. Although it’s been a good controller for fps the durability of the controller is questionsome. My first experience was a defect in the back buttons not actuations which might be a rare phenomenon but then 2 months later I experienced stick drift and L1 button was jammed. Sending it back took 3-4 months twice and their customer service was awful. Although I think hypr might have the very slightest edge for fps games, I think the edge provides competitiveness and durability long term
Great review per usual. What control would you recommend with 4 paddles and profile switching? I mainly play single player games like god of war or star wars
Great vid, Great review! The reason I'm most interested in this controller is the Fight Pad and was wondering if this controller was worth it just for the Fight Pad or is there a better option?
Great review. I was looking at hex and scuf first and what ultimately drove my decisions was - 1 day delivery with Amazon. I'm using this controller for FPS only so the vibration stuff doesn't matter. The only thing that really gave me pause was the stick playability/wear factor. Liked/sub'd for such awesome presentation.
Nice review. Do you know another wireless fightpad (6 inline buttons) option por PS4 &5 or this is the unique option of the entire world? I couldnt find another...
Question: I'm currently using a dongle for my wireless headset on PS5 and other USB is used up by external HD for PS4 library... So obviously I have to disconnect something. So does Dualsense edge require a dongle?...might be be returning the Victrix I got today.
I have this controller now, but I really want to change the inputs, because I'm more of a Fighting Game Player and want to utilize the 6 button layout and having 2 R1/R2 Binds is not ideal. Other Controllers like the Fighting Commander or Razer Raion have a switch to change the Shoulder button inputs into L3/R3 and L1/L2 layout, which is great. I really hope you can do that in the software, but yea, I have to wait I guess... Also, I'm more on PC, so the lack of PS5 exclusive features are not big of a deal for me.
This controller reminds me of the Astro C40 TR controller which I use to own and had a lot of connection issues with I’m not a big fan of third party controllers that don’t have the stock controller base of a PS or XB controller
For me, the driver conflict message was caused by the reWASD service. I uninstalled the app and the actual windows service using BCUninstaller and the controller was detected on my Win11 PC just fine.

very detailed and honest review. good to see someone talking honestly about its weaknesses
But I never recommend they do this)
So that's what it means if "kicked out of the tournament" as you might already be in losers bracket and barely surviving your second set out of three of you slip on finger sweat and pause the game.
I've seen it happen. It sucks. But some people do use it to cheat. So blanket rule.
This is also why fight sticks have their pause buttons and stuff on the back of the board from you, so it's harder and very improbable that you accidentally hit one.
Something I just now noticed and really like, this controller uses swappable thumbsticks with metal shafts to help prevent wear.
That is nice af
@@GamerHeavenOfficial that is something I hope they do in the Xbox version of this controller slated for release in February. This may be my next new controller instead of the turtle beach ultra.
This controller is fantastic, it is by far the best value for your money. Iv had mine for a year and it works very well. I had a small issue with a rear button, contacted support, they paid for my shipping and replaced it within 7 days. For 180$ you can't even get close to anything this good.
Nice, might I ask, what games do you play the most? FPS or fighting games?
@elmarulian mostly fps
Just got mine delivered and was looking for this video. Perfect
DualSense edge half dome back buttons is a game changer for me as I always have inadvertent presses with other back button systems 😅
Comfort and customizability matter waaaayyy more to me than rumble or haptics, I really like this controller so far
Bro. I feel like this was your best review video to date. Definitely the beez neez
That means a lot coming from you man, thanks alot!
The “tootsie roll” as you called it is an in-line filter to get rid of some signal noise.
How well do they work on a digital signal tho?
I heard the xbox kontrol freeks fit this controller.
But you can't map the shoulder buttons 🤦♂️
@@samuraistatus6798 really? I don’t do that anyway but couldn’t you do it in the system settings tho
Have you been able to get the controller to turn on the PS5 while on sleep mode? I have the usb plugged in and when I hit the ps button it just keeps flashing
Wonderful display of your controller knowledge. Picking the Victrix up for sure.
* I have that Alexa Ghost paper weight as well. So sad.

I got mine 3 days ago 10/10 like the idea of the fight pad.
Thank you Gamer Heaven for this honest review.
I bought mine on February the 3rd in Marseille France in an official reseller store (Micromania, a GameStop subsidiary in France).
I returned it back to the store 5 days later
Like you I was impressed by the modularity option that comes with the pad ....
Yet I quickly got upset by 3 things:
Battery life first .
I'm not even in the market for a controller but I love these reviews.
Man these are the reviews I was hoping for. In depth analysis with objective information and subjective input/ opinion. Minus the fanboy state of mind.
This channel deserves a million subs
A second in and I know it’s gonna be 🔥. And thank u Kevin for such a quick quality upload.
I watched the intro back like a hundred times after I edited it, I think it turned out sick lol. Controller "BFG", Doom "BFG" it fits perfectly. You are very welcome.
Let’s not forgot that stock drift is innately present with any stock based custom controller. 😂
I just got the COD Las Almas gold version of this beast during amazon’s recent sale for only $169.99…and I love it!
Keep it up, man. Best reviews and most entertaining.
This dude the goat just bought one to see if I like it and I think they fixxed some of the build issues cause I can't get it to flex like you did in the video and I ride crotch rockets for fun so it's not a grip issue I think they added a few supports or somthin the triggers still sound hollow asf tho wish ya could put like hot glue or puddy in the triggers to make em sound a bit better but I'm sure it would affect the way it works if I did
Awesome as always! I cannot wait for the ps vr review! :)
Awesome video as always
You rock!
I'm planning on getting this to use as a fightpad. Seems to be perfect for that.
That intro was great. Made me stop and think 'oh shit, this is gunna be good, and I cancelled the pre order" . In the end I went with the edge just because of all the delays. Dunno why they didn't give you one earlier, best review.
Thank you for that Kenny powers snippet.
The BEST CONTROLLER REVIEWER ON THE PLANET. THANK YOU
I love that you don't use a sure microphone. Thank God bc jeez does everyone use that when it is not the only good mic on the market
Brilliant video, love how much info you put into them, the controller looks good, decent triggers, shame about the build quality and thumb sticks etc.
This is by far the best video for
Your videos keep getting better n better
I had to return my BFG. It didn’t feel like a pro controller n the slow polling rate confirmed if for me.
@@myytti16 it feels just like the Gambit with a slight rubber grip upgrade.
Is it very noticeable the input lag? Did you connect it to PS4/5 or PC?
this controller has a lot of potential if they use premium quality materials instead of cheap shyt, best controller on the market hands down. some billionaire needs to buy the company and provide funding so they could improve the build quality
The synopsis is that this controller is great, but dont squeeze it to death or throw it at a wall
Shrugs
@@MuseR. between a rate that miniscule youd have to be actively trying to find the difference cos i promise for most ppl if they werent told the difference they wouldnt even know there is one
@@PowderedNuts If someone is used to 500 (2ms) or 1000 Hz (1ms), then going back down to 125 (8ms) or 250 Hz (4ms), a competitive player can immediately feel the difference. If you don't care about it, then that's fine. But it's not irrelevant at all.
Man, I cannot believe they skimped on Rumble... I'll probably get it when it's in the bargain bin for Tekken 8.
Great review bro!
That was a pretty asmriffic intro
Bro I fucking love your intro it’s so good 💖
best reviewer. just checked out five other reviewers that were recommended on top of your video. NONE of them actually showed how the back button positioning is with your fingers. Do these people even play video games? It is so important considering someone could be used to scuf reflexs solution for example (awful solution btw)
Thank you for that 👍🏼
@@GamerHeavenOfficial np. i've been watching you for a while actually and meant to say something like this for a long time but I am just lazy.
Got my bfg pro today and my razer V2 pro on the 12th the bfg pro is great I'm a fan I also have 2 hex gaming remotes and an Astro C40
That was a sick intro
I have the controller. I ordered it in November and they just sent it last Saturday lol smh(Amazon). Your review is spot on. My biggest complaint is the build quality. I feel like im going to get a hairline fracture in whatever board is inside eventually. That said the controller is comfortable like you said. I bought the controller because it covered my competitive shooter and fighting game needs at the same time. That's why I went with it instead of the DualSense Edge. I actually ran into an issue with mine already and that is that the dongle failed during the update and will not turn on at all now. So im in the process trying to get another one from PDP. In the meantime, i'm using it wired and having fun with it.😊
Finally... been waiting for this one :D
I cancelled my pre-order after it got delayed for the 3rd or 4th time and now I'm not really regretting it... the low build quality is really killing it. A huge part of a controller is how it feels and if it feels cheap and frail then it's not a good buy in the long run
Just a little helpful info but those plastic humps that you have on some premium usb type cables is actually a built in In-Line fuse
can afford these but love the reviews none the less
I recieved my order yesterday from best buy. Took 2 weeks to get from order.
my build quality is different with my controller, mine doesnt sound anything like that when i put pressure on it . Actually feels pretty solid
That's good to hear.
Tournament mode is stock for fighting game tournaments which i like, im still undecided on this pad
For anyone stumbling across this comment,
I tried tearing the Victrix Pro BFG down. Some notes,
It makes 0 sense to me
Fun fact for the Dual Sense edge, it uses a BDM-030 button-circuit, so in theory you should be able to add additional buttons to them with a modchip like from Console Customs (Evil Controllers parts), or Bitro (German website that uses cheap switches and modchips, but the prices are cheap.)
All in all, if you want an xbox style controller, and you have smaller hands, look for a used one for ~$120-$140, because that's about the price that this is worth.
Love your videos! I won't be picking this one up... I like quality, and this doesn't appear to have it. I'll keep using the edge.
I have exactly the same but getting used to
Great review man, been excitedly waiting for this one for a while. One QQ, do kontrol freeks fit?
Yes, the Xbox one /series x Kontrol Freeks fit perfectly on the bfg.
you can use Xbox Series Kontrol Freeks on the standard sticks, adds a better grip!
Duel Sense Edge + wait for somebody to make Hall Effect sticks for it 🙌🏻
I like the round bulbous design of the lower PS4 controller.
Ps1 controller with analog sticks has an ancient feature. A button to turn analog sticks on and off.
One thing I was hoping with these PS5 Pro controllers was a tension adjuster like the Xbox Elite, moved over to PS recently due to most games I play either being exclusives or cross play but that tension adjuster on the Elite was awesome.
I feel the exact same! Battlebeaver and Nagashock give you the option to have more but none give you the option to have it adjustable like the elite
I forgot which review said it but i think it's only the left side that can be rotated 180°
@@cheezyguy7119 Thanks a lot bro!
Awesome review. I was about to get this until you announced the crap build quality and the fact that the thumbsticks are not interchangeable. Sony is getting my money.
Super cool gamepad, too bad about the build quality, love the idea though, great video like always brotha!
Help me bro, how do I get the right filter?
Bro please send us that file
Can you remap the L1, L2 buttons to the other side (R1, R2) similar to most fightpads?
Does not work on PS5 titles period
How do u enjoy the c40? It feels too wide for me
Great looking controller and fighting game option but weak & cheap build kills it for me, so far the DualSense Edge take it all the way even though it only has 2 back button option, my wish list would be to make a drift free stick option even if it’s a little more than the $20 option we have now and that would make it complete and 99% perfect 👍🏼 at least for me 😊
They have the option for swappable joysticks because Sony has absolutely no intent on releasing a stick that doesn't need to be replaced.
Love being a stallion
Great vid, Great review! The reason I'm most interested in this controller is the Fight Pad and was wondering if this controller was worth it just for the Fight Pad or is there a better option?
Great review. I was looking at hex and scuf first and what ultimately drove my decisions was - 1 day delivery with Amazon.
I'm using this controller for FPS only so the vibration stuff doesn't matter.
The only thing that really gave me pause was the stick playability/wear factor.
Liked/sub'd for such awesome presentation.
Can you switch the d-pad to top right side of the controller? If so does it still control movement.
I only wanted to get this cuz it’s compatible with the ps4 too so I’ll just stay right here 👀👀🍿
I have this controller now, but I really want to change the inputs, because I'm more of a Fighting Game Player and want to utilize the 6 button layout and having 2 R1/R2 Binds is not ideal.
Can firmware updates decrease the polling rate? 8ms seems high as even the stock Dualsense is less and this is suppose to be for tournaments as well?
This controller reminds me of the Astro C40 TR controller which I use to own and had a lot of connection issues with I’m not a big fan of third party controllers that don’t have the stock controller base of a PS or XB controller
For me, the driver conflict message was caused by the reWASD service. I uninstalled the app and the actual windows service using BCUninstaller and the controller was detected on my Win11 PC just fine.
