One thing I have heard people complain about is how sensitive the triggers are. So I just want to ask if you think they’re overreacting or not because I don’t have a PC so I won’t be able to adjust it.
Thanks for stating your opinion. I happen to love this controller. It's funny because I was on the fence the first few days because, like you, I favored the dualsense thumbstick layout. However, after I switched to the offset sticks, my grip changed and all of a sudden, I loved it. All the issues you stated, all valid, just suddenly went away.
Tbh I have small hands so I like the shape of this controller. The only problem I have encountered with it is the Bluetooth connection not working or the mic port breaking easily. I do appreciate your explanation of how the controller works because it had no instructions in the box.
Background music sounds like 3 seconds in a loop. I know it is technically a longer loop, but the variety is so similar it might as well be just 3. Distracting like a squeaky wheel. Good content. I like that you voiced criticisms and they were well thought-out.
Why didn’t you compare it to the Hori fight pad ? It also has a 6 six buttons on the front. For fighting games specifically. That was like the perfect controller to compare it to.
I think you've missed a lot of the point here. This is a controller specifically designed for fighting games. You obviously haven't played them much or you'd understand a few things better. I entered tournaments as a kid across the UK in the early - mid 90s and you had to use a pad. The six button thing makes a HUGE difference & the d pad is far superior to any other. Fighting sticks are cumbersome. I haven't been able to play fighting games for YEARS due to my thumb being absolutely battered from many years of (especially) Street Fighter 2. This is true with many of us older players. The build quality also makes sense. It's very light and that makes total sense when using an underthumb grip - you want to play like this with something with a heavy build xbox elite? Good luck. The modular build also contributes to the building feeling a bit rattly (personally I'd rather it was just fixed in position with dpad up and six buttons - but I understand as to why the company need to offer something multi purpose). As for no bluetooth. I never use Bluetooth. It's utter shit compared to 2.4ghz. If you can't organise your your gaming equipment properly to the point you're losing important components - that's on you. Besides - if you do lose it, you can buy a generic 2.4 ghz receiver for a few bucks. If you can't do an objective review - don't bother mate.
Picked one up and it’s a great controller, it’s clear some corners were cut and I think if they were willing to just charge and extra $20-$30 they could have went all out and made a controller close to perfection. Hopefully we can get a v2 to pick up in the areas that they lacked
I straight up cannot use the PlayStation controller. It hurts my hands really bad and the D Pad position is almost unusable in Helldivers 2. So I’m glad this exists
I bought this controller to deal with the elbow pain on my left arm the PS5 controller was causing. The position of the left stick and pressing L3 was the culprit. This controller has helped me heal and the pain is starting to go away. I just use it to play that game where I need to constantly press the L3 button. The only thing I miss when using this controller is the lack of vibration. Besides that it is a good controller.
However I disagree that it feels cheap. I think that’s a trick that happens when the rumble is removed-it feels so light that you think the plastic must be really cheap But the same thing happens when you take out the rumble on a Sony controller-it feels weird and hollow and plasticky That said I wasn’t getting the best clicks out my back buttons. Maybe it was latency (online gaming), but I just don’t want to deal with any problems of buttons not working, etc.
Completely agree. I think it's the placebo effect to blame here for why everyone thinks it "feels" cheap. It's like u said, simply because vibration and adaptive triggers are missing - that lowers the weight. In reality, it's probably the same plastic quality as any other controller, but don't quote me on that one. 🤷♂️😂
Just got this controller last night at my local wallyworld and have been messing around with it this morning. It's phenomenal on Borderlands 2. No Hall effect sensors was my only complaint with it so far, but that's still an emerging tech that hasn't made it to many controllers at all.
@@GearsAndTech I've been checking out sending one of mine in for some mods. Really enjoy the sniper stick this came with though, not sure if any modders offer them though. Really hoping I might can work in Hall effect sensors in these modules for this controller but I haven't poked around yet.
Hall effect joysticks have been around since the days of the dreamcast lol, it's not new or emerging tech. Besides, there have been several new controllers released by companies like 8BitDo, Gulikit and Flydigi that already have hall effect joysticks. In terms of ones that are compatible with consoles, the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro and Turtle Beach Stealth Ultra also have hall effect joysticks, and both have been out for quite a while.
@@ryancarson3327Btw, PDP announced that they have started selling hall effect joystick modules for the Vitrix Pro BFG, so your wish has finally come true.
I mistakenly hit the paddles on the right a lot of times. I even tried the second paddle option but it’s hard to reach. This looks perfect because the buttons are well placed and require you to press hard a little like a button so you can’t accidentally press it
Competitive games, fps's and fighting games, it's best to turn off haptic and rumble anyways. Get it for that and use dual sense for everything else. Plus its one of the only ways to get the xbox layout, which I prefer.
The reason they might have gone w/ a 2.4 wireless over bt is because bt tends to sleep often which causes windows to randomly disconnect the controller from a windows pc. The other reason is latency, bt tends to have more latency over a 2.4 wireless adapter.
I’m currently waiting for my Victrix Pro BFG to arrive and hearing that adaptive triggers and rumble aren’t in the controller is an absolute godsend sounding thing, those adaptive triggers are extremely flimsy and snap even under light-moderate use
Also the dongle is there instead of Bluetooth because it’s low latency, this controller though wasn’t really made for fps games and more for fighting games
hahaha yeah I could imagine so, the brand is well known for fighting equipment though that's why they allow you to gate the thumbstick because that octagonal gate is really good for fighters, it makes the stick more accurate. I think they were also going for a general audience aswell as the FGC@@GearsAndTech
Even if PDP acquired the patent for the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, it would have skyrocketed the price of the controller to $280+, as well as increased the weight 10 fold. It would not be comfortable in the hands, especially for the way the BFG pro is meant to be used (on-the-go-fightpad for Fighting games, or a substitute for fps sometimes). The controller has so many plusses in today's market that it's hard to skip: - Quick swappable and replaceable modules that can be configured into Xbox or PlayStation layout (or even with Fightstick-style buttons on the right side) - Multiple height quick switch sticks (Great for fps games where precision is 1000% necessary) - Anti-drift hall effect joystick options (Every gamer knows the struggle) - Sturdy and reliable back buttons (Great if you don't want to destroy your hands playing claw) - Multi point trigger stops (reduces time clicking triggers and more gameplay) - Good, swappable, d-pad (the more intuitive, the better) - Purchase options compatible with Xbox, PS4, PS5, PC (Everyone has a good time) - 2.4gh Wi-Fi dongle (Wi-Fi connections usually have 2/3ms faster inputs than Bluetooth, although Bluetooth is more convenient) - Software that works nearly flawlessly with the controller for all its functions, settings, remapping, etc I can't imagine a more perfect controller for the daily needs I would use it for. I would have all the options, and even niche things that I didn't think I'd need until I held it for the first time. PDP definitely cooked with this controller, and the fact that after all this time they're still working to improve it means they're dedicated to their craft and their customers.
@@Hazyguy1 PDP recently released new stick modules that make use of the Hall effect magnetic stick tech! I bought it for my controller and it's absolutely amazing!
You make fair points about the missing features but buyers already know this in advance. I do agree about the sensitivity of the triggers. It's something I noticed right off the bat and I don't like it. Im not bothered by having to use the dongle for wireless though. You are also on point about how cheap the controller feels. It has a 2 year limited warranty but that's not really an excuse for this controller feeling so cheap. I'm disappointed when it comes to that. I do feel like the controller is comfortable despite feeling cheap. I play both shooters and fighting games so I feel that this controller is still more than worth it for those alone. Currently there isn't a good native alternative to this. The DualSense dpad is absolute trash for fighting games(tried the Hori FIghting Commander Octa and it wasn't good enough imo) and I prefer to play shooters from asymmetrical position. The Victrix Pro BFG fills both those needs and ultimately why I refused to buy the DualSense Edge. I'll just keep my DualSense controllers for the games that uses those features. Having said this, your review was fair and well made.
It's basically a fight pad. I used to have some major issues with it that made it unusable, but the software update has fixed every one of them. I can disable the back buttons and the left trigger and left shoulder button. I only use the fight pad and the two right shoulder buttons for street fighter. No more accidental clicks on the left side or on the back buttons. The standard D-pad module like the one on NES is the best one and feels great for fighting games. Probably the best fight pad you can get at the moment.
@15:21 the 2.4Ghz protocol is Superior to Bluetooth in pretty much everyway related to performance. Bandwidth, polling, latency, connection reliability. That is not a sign of cheapness, its a sign of competent design choice for high level/competitive play.
I bought the Xbox version of this controller yesterday. I do like it, but I agree that the triggers are way too sensitive. The wireless connection is really wonky, so I stick with wired for it. It won't replace my Elite controller, but it's still a nice controller.

Reviving a dead comment section but the OP makes some very off base and false comments. The triggers being sensitive is usually a plus, pressing them on accident is user error not controller error. The term get good comes to mind. But aside from that he said the wireless is only through the dongle. It actually features the full bluetooth compatibility that the original branded xbox and ps5 controller have. Even tilt function works fine through the integrated bluetooth as well. The other difference is the astoundingly better build quality and self repair. It has onboard stick drift fix which is a true fix and not just an increase/decrease of dead zones. It re-calibrates to perfection. It's everything the other controllers do just better. This is not a paid promotion simply clarification by someone who regularly uses all of the mentioned controllers as well.
Hey Muzubi, do you find that this controller is responding faster than the Edge? I am worried about the low polling rate it has and they say it has more input lag. Thanks!
People also need to realize that the victrix is almost identical to an Xbox elite series 2 without the rumble I love mine, I also went from Xbox to ps5 and all tnough I love the dual sense I wanted a controller with offset sticks , trigger locks and paddles without having to pay 250 for a razor controller so this works great
@@GearsAndTech it is night and day but for anyone who owns a PS5 you don’t have the option to use an elite series 2 on that console so the victrix is the next best thing
Your views are the same for me. I like the Victrix, however, I had to put the short dome stick on the left and kept the short concave stick with a Krontrol Freaks thumbstick top with a precision foam ring on the right to make the controller feel right for me.
I had to come back and add some more information. If you are looking for a fighting game pad, avoid this pad. Apparently there is more input delay with the Victirx than with the DS5. The DS5 has less input lag than the Victrix wired.
Better than Elite ? Really? I’m watching this video because I’m looking for a replacement for the Elite. Please tell me more about your experiences with this controller. Thanks in advance.
Everyone rates this controller for things that it’s not made for. It’s a fighting game controller. You can barely be consistent with the origin ps5 controller because the sticky dpad.
@@GearsAndTech that just means you arent committed to fighting games. doesnt make it too pricy. it can be used for more than fighting games and still have all the advantages over a dedicated fighting pad at the same price. portability alone is enough for many tournament players.

I’m looking to get this controller for shooter games but I’m stuck through 2 pro controller options. Dual sense edge and the Victrix pro bfg, I do think that the dual sense edge is better but the price point between the two is where it gets me. Upping my budget is definitely doable but I feel paying upwards of 260$ for a controller is too much, I definitely need help deciding between the two. If you got suggestions please tell me thanks.
Actually for me when I rest my hand comfortably, my fingers are far backwards on the L2, R2 So… how do I press L1/R1? Awkwardly crimping my fingers inward? Whereas on PS controllers, my fingers rest on L1/R1, and I can easily adjust to R2/L2 The back button placements are perfect, but this is unfortunate for me personally, because it requires I move my whole hand on the controller in a worse position than the best fit, just doesn’t feel right
Waiting for it... My dualsense drift like it prepare for world championship drift contest. Battery life on normal dualsense is also dog yeah... Victrix has 2 years warranty dualsense one year. I'm playing Destiny 2 that doesn't support that trigger thing same with victrix but we. I have already turned off vibration and do the same with adaptive triggers if game support it. Maybe it is nice for single player immersive thing but like I said.. Single player. I can't imagine playing PvP with both that features.. The only thing I'll miss is a microphone and speaker but I have wired headphones soo we for me again.. sound from speaker was already quiet and sometimes I had an problem to understand what and who said.. But like this feature. For single player immersive thing I still have dualsense and don't need edge. For games like destiny or maybe fortnite oh god lame I know - I have a victrix. Dualsense edge cost 1200pln (Poland) victrix cost 800-850pln. Dualsense both edge and normal have very poor battery. Victrix has 4 additional buttons instead of 2. You can map on fly without any menu. With victrix I can use xbox analogs positions thats imo more comfortable.
Forgot to mention you can’t replace the batteries on that controller if they go bad. You would need to reach out to the company or buy a new controller I assume
I mean, that's a potential issue for 99% of controllers around atm. It sucks, but then again I blame the lack of consumer protection laws for allowing companies to get away with shit like this in the first place.
The whole haptic and whatnot doesn't matter to me. All that matters is that the controller will stand the test of time and that the dpad is deadly accurate. It's really hard to find a pad for fighting games I like. I want the accuracy of a great pad but the face buttons of ps or xbox. I would pay premium price for that dpad. Victrix from my experience makes fgc peripherals. What pad users need for fighting games versus like a person who casually plays shooting games action games etc is different. All those fancy features people are attracted to don't necessarily matter. There aren't many fighting game tournament players over the large community, but there are also no real good options for pad players either. Also wired is typically standard for fighting game tournaments. Some tournaments are lax but wireless isn't allowed usually. I'll kinda see how this goes until I decide to buy.
I just bought this for 85 dollars new on eBay mainly because I wanted for the upcoming marvel vs Capcom collection coming out and Dragon Ball Z and all my fighting games. Hopefully it’s worth it if not I’ll get a dual sense elite down the line.
Yea just bought it today for Warzone but doesn’t sit comfortably feel like it needs to be longer so I don’t hit the back buttons by mistake. Other than that controller would’ve been decent but I’m definitely returning it.
Me to, just arrived playing cod it just don't feel right and I keep accidently touching trigger. It's going back. What controller would you suggest im a big cod player..
I just ordered this and I have a two month period to return it if I don’t like it. I am specifically getting this controller for the sake of competitive fighting games. I picked this one over the Hori Octa. Are there any other controllers that you’d recommend over the one showcased in this video that has that same fight pad layout? I don’t care about price.

I bought Xbox series X version today and I put it back in the box after 7 hours of trying to get comfortable with it. Most of it is very good, but I don't have any sort of comfort when it comes to holding the controller. My fingers land directly on the mapable back buttons and even though I disabled them, it still feels like I'm holding something in my hand that I shouldn't be holding..because the buttons move in and out while I'm holding it. My second problem is the large hump at the end of the right and left trigger, its uncomfortable for me as well. Everybody's hand is different and everyone's comfort zones are different, mine just so happens to not agree with this controller. Sure it's a great controller for someone else, but it's a no for me.
I used to work for GameStop. The management got PDP hardware for free all the time. I remember getting headsets that immediately broke. PDP has always been known for cheap trash. I am actually watching this to see if PDP changed from their gimmicky trash. I am surprised they are still in business. PDP does 1 thing well, they fill landfills like no other 3rd party accessory manufacture.
No you are not crazy. We always steered people away from PDP if we where asked. We knew it would be a bad experience. I am shocked that Sony put their logo on it.@@GearsAndTech
That makes me laugh. Because they can grant licences for a controller that dont have those features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers but wont let us use our ps4 controllers on the ps5.... Makes perfect sense. What a cash grab
Nice controller, though i have to say that they do not come calibrated. You will need to download the PC app to actually customize it, but be careful. You can't have steam or a VM on your computer or else you'll brick your controller (i literally just did that) and it cant turn off until it dies. You gotta do it on a clean PC
This controller is better for Call of duty and fighting games. I own both this and the dual sense edge. The duel sense is nice but in my opinion it's kind of useless for fps because the battery life and two paddles. The duel sense I brought for the Sony exclusives. But for fps and beat em up games the BFG is way better in my opinion.
@@GearsAndTech I think the edge is aimed more for Ps exclusives which is okay. But my daily driver is the BFG because it's like the swiss army knife of all controllers currently. There's so many options on it. Once you calibrate the remote and map all buttons to the back buttons the edge doesn't even stand close to it because it only has two back buttons. It's lighter and better for longer gaming sessions in general. Has a great battery life. The only thing about the edge that I like is the look and feel and that's about it. It definitely feels more premium. But don't think because the BFG feels cheap it underperforms. As a person who has always been a playstation guy I think I got the remote for nostalgia purposes. But I feel like I get higher kills and win more matches with my BFG vs my dual sense edge. It was a pain in the ass to get used to accounting for all the back buttons. But once I got used of playing with all four the edge went in the holding case. I will save it for my solo games like sports, racing or storied driven adventure games. Tbh I have small hands so I like the shape of this controller. The only problem I have encountered with it is the Bluetooth connection not working or the mic port breaking easily. I do appreciate your explanation of how the controller works because it had no instructions in the box.
Thanks for the review! I would recommend including video chapters so that we can skip to certain parts though. I appreciate your help
Noted!
i just shook mine when you did yours and mine doesn't rattle, so i honestly don't know what you did to yours pal. this thing feels sturdy as well.
I got one of the first ones made, maybe they started making them better?
We're really lacking an controller that feels like an Xbox/ Switch controller, but for PS5. This is the only one so far.
Background music sounds like 3 seconds in a loop. I know it is technically a longer loop, but the variety is so similar it might as well be just 3. Distracting like a squeaky wheel. Good content. I like that you voiced criticisms and they were well thought-out.
Thanks for sharing. I am more mindful of the music in more recent videos as well
Why didn’t you compare it to the Hori fight pad ? It also has a 6 six buttons on the front. For fighting games specifically. That was like the perfect controller to compare it to.
I would take this over the hori fight pad. Even though it's 2x the cost
Just picked this up for the MVC collection. The availability to switch from fight pad to regular controller is what sold it for me.
Totally agree
I straight up cannot use the PlayStation controller. It hurts my hands really bad and the D Pad position is almost unusable in Helldivers 2. So I’m glad this exists
Not sure this is better though.
I'm assuming you flipped the left side to a xbox style control, if so, does this work better? The use of L1 + Dpad for stratagem is unbearable.
Bought this yesterday cause it kind of resembled the Astro C40 TR which I loved and personally its perfect!
That's why I got it too
Thanks for highlighting the dongle drawback. Huge.
No problem!
Glad to hear
However I disagree that it feels cheap. I think that’s a trick that happens when the rumble is removed-it feels so light that you think the plastic must be really cheap
But the same thing happens when you take out the rumble on a Sony controller-it feels weird and hollow and plasticky
That said I wasn’t getting the best clicks out my back buttons.
there's only 2 people that i have found helpful with there videos on this control and ur 1 thank man
Glad I could help.
Which part were you looking for?
Just got this controller last night at my local wallyworld and have been messing around with it this morning. It's phenomenal on Borderlands 2. No Hall effect sensors was my only complaint with it so far, but that's still an emerging tech that hasn't made it to many controllers at all.
I just put hall effect on my modded dualsense controller
I might have gotten something like this before the edge but I can't put my edge down as it's perfect so far😎
I mistakenly hit the paddles on the right a lot of times. I even tried the second paddle option but it’s hard to reach. This looks perfect because the buttons are well placed and require you to press hard a little like a button so you can’t accidentally press it
@@elijnrbro what are you even saying..The last part makes no sense.
Lol have fun trying to buy stick modules every 6 months
The biggest no for the edge that a lot of people never mention is the abysmal battery life
Competitive games, fps's and fighting games, it's best to turn off haptic and rumble anyways.
I just commented the last thing you said lol
Wish the ps5 pro controller would have a taller joystick option.
I just wish they didn't include fps features to increase cost when it's total garbage for that application.
hahaha yeah I could imagine so, the brand is well known for fighting equipment though that's why they allow you to gate the thumbstick because that octagonal gate is really good for fighters, it makes the stick more accurate.
The controller has so many plusses in today's market that it's hard to skip:
- Quick swappable and replaceable modules that can be configured into Xbox or PlayStation layout (or even with Fightstick-style buttons on the right side)
- Multiple height quick switch sticks (Great for fps games where precision is 1000% necessary)
- Anti-drift hall effect joystick options (Every gamer knows the struggle)
- Sturdy and reliable back buttons (Great if you don't want to destroy your hands playing claw)
- Multi point trigger stops (reduces time clicking triggers and more gameplay)
- Good, swappable, d-pad (the more intuitive, the better)
- Purchase options compatible with Xbox, PS4, PS5, PC (Everyone has a good time)
- 2.4gh Wi-Fi dongle (Wi-Fi connections usually have 2/3ms faster inputs than Bluetooth, although Bluetooth is more convenient)
- Software that works nearly flawlessly with the controller for all its functions, settings, remapping, etc
I can't imagine a more perfect controller for the daily needs I would use it for. I would have all the options, and even niche things that I didn't think I'd need until I held it for the first time. PDP definitely cooked with this controller, and the fact that after all this time they're still working to improve it means they're dedicated to their craft and their customers.
Im pretty sure it doesnt have hall effect sticks but if it does then wow
Thank you for commenting.
How would you say the case costs
It's basically a fight pad. I used to have some major issues with it that made it unusable, but the software update has fixed every one of them. I can disable the back buttons and the left trigger and left shoulder button. I only use the fight pad and the two right shoulder buttons for street fighter. No more accidental clicks on the left side or on the back buttons. The standard D-pad module like the one on NES is the best one and feels great for fighting games. Probably the best fight pad you can get at the moment.
As a fight pad it's expensive.
@15:21 the 2.4Ghz protocol is Superior to Bluetooth in pretty much everyway related to performance. Bandwidth, polling, latency, connection reliability. That is not a sign of cheapness, its a sign of competent design choice for high level/competitive play.
agreed, but its still annoying, and stops working every time I make microwave popcorn!
I own this controller along with many others this control is top notch improved my kd
how long you’ve been using the controller?, is there any issue on ps5?
I bought the Xbox version of this controller yesterday. I do like it, but I agree that the triggers are way too sensitive. The wireless connection is really wonky, so I stick with wired for it. It won't replace my Elite controller, but it's still a nice controller.
Common Victrix and update the app to have button remapping. Doing it manually is a pain.
For me this is the best PRO controller on the market for the Ps5. Way ahead of the Edge and the Wolverine
Why bro? I am searching for one now
Can you remap the L3 and R3 to the back paddles? Or only the buttons.
You're most likely very young the wolverine and edge shred this it's not even close the input is significantly slower the materials are worse and the customisation in game on the edge and wolverine are just better for gaming please try not to spread misinformation
How do you safely switch out the gates on the analog stick? I have yet to see anyone show that in their reviews.
You pop it out from the back
It's a bit violent
@@GearsAndTech
@NihongoGamer
All good man, I ended up using a plastic handle from a spatula to drive it through until it popped off lol, I'm loving the Octagon!
Love your videos and I'm subbing.
Sometimes paying for innovation is better than gimics. I've played with it just a little and love it. It has a place in all categories. The fact that I could change the sticks around and the modularity makes it batter than most
I wanted to like it
@@GearsAndTech yeah after a little bit longer with it, i hate it. it constantly disconnects and when wire it does work properly either. refunding it tomorrow lol.
I got mine to get analog sticks like my Xbox controller and I love it.ps5 controller analog stick always gave me cramps until now
Appreciated!!
I bought it for SF6 and is excellent
Glad to hear it's working good for you
I returned my Razer controller because the X button locked out, I think I'm just going to wait until other competitors come out with the Xbox shape.
Maybe a new version supports bluetooth. Mine did not
I just got one and I have no problems with it and when I shake it I don't hear anything
Same here. Almost as if maybe he hadn't fully screwed 🪛 in the button panel for that take perhaps
Its actually a prett damn good controller , really reponsive
It's actually too responsive. I found the triggers way too sensitive with not enough spring tension
Ooh, as someone interested in it because of the 4 paddles as opposed to two, this is just the video I've been waiting for.
Hope it helps you make a choice
Get Aim grear warranty and custermer service
Go with the razer lol
The 2.4ghz dongle is definitely not a handicap lol, its way more responsive than bluetooth.
thats what I hear
Is it possible to open up the module and replace the thumbsticks entirely (including the base) with regular ps4 thumbsticks? Thanks. Great video!
excellent question. Im not sure though. My initial guess would be yes
The only reason why it’s uplifted is because theirs not a lot of options for controllers on PS5
I agree.
This is one of the only true 3rd party options.
Most are just modded ps5 controllers
Glad to see you playing dbz fighter
I'm really happy with this controller I use it for fighting and fps and for other games I use the Edge for me the controller is amazing
Hey Muzubi, do you find that this controller is responding faster than the Edge? I am worried about the low polling rate it has and they say it has more input lag. Thanks!

People also need to realize that the victrix is almost identical to an Xbox elite series 2 without the rumble I love mine, I also went from Xbox to ps5 and all tnough I love the dual sense I wanted a controller with offset sticks , trigger locks and paddles without having to pay 250 for a razor controller so this works great
I prefer the xbox elite series 2 over the victix. It's night and day for build quality
Nacon's new PS5 assymetrical (offset thumbsticks) controller is now out for pre-order.
I've sent them an email to see if we can arrange for a unboxing and hands on
I had to come back and add some more information. If you are looking for a fighting game pad, avoid this pad. Apparently there is more input delay with the Victirx than with the DS5. The DS5 has less input lag than the Victrix wired.
Excellent info thanks for sharing
I had one reserved but twice they postponed it so I canceled it & pre ordered the dualsense edge & it's worth every penny to me.
Yeah mine was pushed back a couple times as well
Badass controller for fight games steping stone for leverless controller
Agreed
I would like to know which are the other options you mention, when taking into account the "fightpad" module. I don't think there are any, tbh....
you don't need haptic feedback and/or vibration in a controller which was designed primarily for fighting games.
I don't use either one
I have this ,its a great controller ,far better than my elite series 2 🤙
Better than Elite ? Really? I’m watching this video because I’m looking for a replacement for the Elite. Please tell me more about your experiences with this controller. Thanks in advance.
Everyone rates this controller for things that it’s not made for. It’s a fighting game controller. You can barely be consistent with the origin ps5 controller because the sticky dpad.
I think this controller is trying to be too many things
For the price it needs to be.
As a fight pad its great. But it's too expensive for that
@@GearsAndTech that just means you arent committed to fighting games. doesnt make it too pricy. it can be used for more than fighting games and still have all the advantages over a dedicated fighting pad at the same price. portability alone is enough for many tournament players.
@@GearsAndTech the fighting game community is huge. what extras it has or dont have is catering to that community. no rumble, dpad and fight pad is the draw everything else is extra and thats not bad.
I would get dse over this.
I actually bought this for fighting games specifically and it's doin it's job perfectly. PS controllers are atrocious for fighting games.
Hello! Are back triggers mouse click like the Scuff?...Thanks
no. they have play in them
The dualsense edge needed to come in black, it being white leads to mine being dirty after 1 month permanently due to white rubber/plastic design.
That's true
Hey GearsandTech would it be good for me to use the victories for Fortnite?
I don't recomend it for anything. But try it and let us know
@ Okay!
Haptic feed back was the biggest “oh i have to try that” ever… fucking sucks in practice
Actually for me when I rest my hand comfortably, my fingers are far backwards on the L2, R2
So… how do I press L1/R1? Awkwardly crimping my fingers inward?
Whereas on PS controllers, my fingers rest on L1/R1, and I can easily adjust to R2/L2
The back button placements are perfect, but this is unfortunate for me personally, because it requires I move my whole hand on the controller in a worse position than the best fit, just doesn’t feel right
Waiting for it...
The edge has an easy fix for stick drift now though. This doesn't, you either know how to fix it or you have to shell out again
what is the best controller for fifa 2023 ps5
I personally like the besavior for everything.
honestly planning to buy it just for the dpad
so if you have big hands, like vibration, have a a heavy hand when resting it on the controller. its not for you.
Probbaly right
Forgot to mention you can’t replace the batteries on that controller if they go bad. You would need to reach out to the company or buy a new controller I assume
It's not easily replaceable. But it can be replaced with a tear down
I mean, that's a potential issue for 99% of controllers around atm.
Let us know how it goes

Yea just bought it today for Warzone but doesn’t sit comfortably feel like it needs to be longer so I don’t hit the back buttons by mistake. Other than that controller would’ve been decent but I’m definitely returning it.

I just ordered this and I have a two month period to return it if I don’t like it. I am specifically getting this controller for the sake of competitive fighting games.

Wow, that's bad
@@GearsAndTech yeah, 7 hours since I made this post and it still hasn't died yet
I also have both but prefer the ds edge over victix
Im back using my besavior though. I like it the best
