    Nice review, do you feel as though the diamond shaped dpad of the BFG is the similar/the same as the Victrix Gambit dpad.
    Cause i want give this dpad a try but the Gambit is significantly cheaper than the BFG, so if the dpad is the same i'd rather get the Gambit as I play on PC anyway.

    Thanks for the reviews, however i am somewhat concerned about the dpad, do you know if it uses microswitches or something for the dpad specifically?? fighting games destroy dpads it would suck to drop 200$ on this only for it to be worn out 6 months in..

    Great review & vid, I always look forward to your controller content; I got mine early Feb after all the delays. I really like this controller overall; but you definitely went over the same issues I have with this controller. Such as, the 6-button fightpad attachment being to low on the controller, the triggers being way to sensitive & thus causes accidental presses in-game, and how the software app on PC isn't ready to fix or customize the controller. I do think this controller is comfortable and I want to use it for all fighting games doing forward. It has made me want to play SFV & SF6 with 4-face-buttons instead of constantly buying/searching for a 6-button controller that does it all; I'm tired of getting my hopes up. I feel like I can get used to this controller and use it for all fighting games after they update the PC app for customization. Its a great controller but I think they should have advertised it when everything they promised was actually ready.

      It has been a long time since I've played a fighting game and I want to get back to it and I'm looking for a controller.

    • @Hacisay
      @Hacisay ปีที่แล้ว

      @loutripe I think you should buy something cheaper since your getting back into fighting games. But, regardless I can't recommend this Victrix controller since it over $150 and has more cons than pros.

      @@Hacisay then what do you recommend for me

    • @yarbles66
      @yarbles66 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LoutripeI disagree. I think it's great for six button fighting games as per SF6... but you want to use an underhand (or 'claw' as per the video) grip so you can tap with fingers - I think the reviewer has pretty small hands & that's why he struggles. Not an issue for those with bigger hands. You'll also really appreciate the light build using this grip.
      I don't love the triggers but having bigger hands it's not as much of an issue - that said I rarely use them & find that the games I play with this I just use the excellent (better than any other controller) back buttons.

    Also, if you switch the analog position to the ps5 style, you will always hit your thumb on the analog at the bottom because its so close so you are kind of forced to use it xbox style if you want to use the dpad. The three dpads are cool but honestly I ended up just using the regular cross. It’s hard to go from an xbox elite controller to this in terms of quality and feel at almost the same price.

  • @jinhanja8185
    @jinhanja8185 ปีที่แล้ว

    What would make this controller better is better wireless performance (because sometimes the spikes are so bad, your controller feels completely unresponsive between inputs. That usb dongle is ass. i wish they just used one of the newer bluetooth standards...jeez), better polling rate, lower input delay, better software, and just the positioning of the fight pad buttons. that's all really holding it back from being a god-tier controller for fighting games. That square dpad, and the octagonal mod for the stick, absolutely god-tier parts about this controller. The fight pad is lacking because of those button positions and the fact that you can't remap the R1 and R2 buttons on the fight pad to a different button on the module. The size of the controller is really nice, but the sensitivity of the paddle buttons are kinda ridiculous.

  • @bubu8305

    Hey i share my own experience with that controller:
    In contrary of you, i was sightly annoyed by the weight of this controller, its pretty much around DualSense weight.
    The face buttons, i dont like it either, its not flat, similar to xbox face buttons, when i m doing very long sessions, it eventually ends by hurting my fingers, they are too close to each others.
    Triggers are indeed way too big and sensitive.
    The dpad itself, i do not like the stock dpad, the classic dpad shape works the best for me (i am 2d fighting player)
    Dpad overall isnt bad, its just i have to exaggerate somewhat my motions like dragon punch in comparison of Playstation controller
    At the end, for 180/200 bucks, i didnt find any advantage over my Dualshock 4 except for the reliability of dpad (does it use microswitches for dpad?!)
    The back buttons are nearly impossible to use for my case, and i deactivated it due to the accidental presses in-game
    The 2.4 ghz wireless works fine.
    Honestly its pretty weird pad controller, its kind of hybridation between fightpad/fighting game oriented pad and pro controllers (most likely for fps games)
    Fps players dont care about fighting stuffs and vice versa
    At the end, i think the perfect fighting pad controller would be like a light controller, no wireless/battery stuff, perfectly weight balanced, fast face buttons, modular with microswitches (especially for dpad)

    This controller is so frustrating. It’s like they thought of everything you could possibly want (besides 8 way dpad with clicky switches), implemented it but then executed everything slightly wrong.
    I bought this but I ended up selling it bc I hate playing on it. It’s too light, the triggers/bumpers are some of the worst I ever used in terms of accidental inputs & general feeling, the fightpad placement sucks, and I cannot forgive the placement of the bottom 2 paddle buttons. It’s impossible to map them & hold the controller with any kind of natural grip and not hit them.
    If they had better triggers/bumpers, better fightpad button placement, and better placement on the paddles this would basically be perfect and maybe strictly better than literally everything else on the market (besides maybe the scuf envision but that’s PC only). But instead for me it’s an irritating controller to play on

  • @purelaffs
    @purelaffs 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I just received my pad today. My excitement was immediately turned into utter disappointment. I bought it solely for SF6. The placement of the 6 button module is way off. My natural sitting position of my right thumb sits over R1 and R2. Also, i cannot find a way to map the 2 right shoulder buttons to PPP and KKK. Victrix didn't really think this through whatsoever. a massive thumbs down for me.
    If you're a massive Street Fighter fanatic,don't buy this!!! I'm going to go for the Hori fight commander. I'll just have to put up with the wire cable.!!!!
    This review is 100% correct...
