I've literally been waiting for this video for like years. I swear you have everything everyone needs. You're literally the stretch god. Your videos are unreal.
Did 20 years in the Army and all sorts of stretches but I think you're on to something here 🤔. Create a stretch manual and present it to the Military 🪖 😉 This is what we needed! Thanks
Dr. Rowe, I just read all the comments and can’t get over how many of us have hip and back pain. Would you say we’re a nation that’s out of shape, me included?? I can’t wait to try these exercises! Thank you!! ❤
@@DrRowe : I did move, a lot, before the pandemic. I ran 5K and 10K races! I continued walking and I do all my own housework. My pain came on suddenly and in only ONE day!
The timing feels like a Divine Intervention to me: I have been hurting for straight 12 hours, had massage 6 hours ago and the pain got worse. I did my exercises you just demonstrated and the pain dropped significantly- I will take an easy brief walk now, which I need for my sagging spirit. Thank you so much. Much love ❤️ to you.
I have been in severe pain for 3 weeks. I only started doing the stretches yesterday and for the first time I’m feeling relief! You might have just saved me from going to my ortho dr if the hip continues to heal. I like that your videos are matter-of-fact and to the point. Thank you! Much appreciation!
Hello Dr. Rowe This is Charu from India. You dont know how much you have helped me through your videos. I am a young newly married teacher who remembers you at 5:30am every morning because she does the routine you recommend. Thank you so much!
Thank goodness for sharing this video, my hips have been hurting for a long time with my RA with no relief. With these stretches it’s easing the pain a little.
I could have saved a lot of money if you released this viedo a year ago, but it's still not too late, cos I can't afford to keep paying the expensive physio appointments, so thank you very much for this video!
Omg ❤ thank you so much for this video!! The seated excercise saved me from this pinching one sided back pain I had for 3 days!! I couldn't lift my foot towards my knee in peace. And after finding the excercise that worked for me, it made all the difference. I went on about the rest of the day pain free!!! Thank you!!!
Very helpful. He gives different ones so that you can choose which one you are able to do. I am 77 years old and the stretching has helped a lot in just a few days. I would like to support the videos. Thank you for offering them free so a person can try before they make a commitment.
Found your channel at 3am last night when I couldn't get back to sleep for the millionth time, suffering with right sided deep gluteal pain/sciatica/piriformis issues.. undiagnosed so no idea what the root cause it yet.. I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child and remember having something very similar flare up like this during my last pregnancy.. it's gone from a mild niggling twinge to full blown seizing up and unable to walk or weight bear at all! I'm a very active 39yr old, for the past 6 weeks I've been averaging 12km walks each day with 4 resistance training workouts a week.. I've been unable to do any of that for the last 4 days due to the severity of the pain and lack of mobility! Your videos are a godsend, thank you! Did the morning stretches in bed this morning and used your get out of bed method without any pain.. will be doing the other stretches today. Thank you for your help and advice 😊 (watching from the UK)
My wife is also pregnant, 5.5 months. This is too much exercise you're doing. From people I've seen, birth will be a struggle. Wish I could help more.. God bless youband guide you 🙏
After dealing with lower back/hip pain for 4 months now I found that a simple banded clamshell an the leg over knee stretch from your piriformis video have done wonders for me Have you ever thought of making something about costochronditis I have tried so many different things over the last year but nothing has worked 😅
With myself I had very strong glutes, hamstrings and spinal erectors BUT I had a weak core along with weak front hip flexors. Once I fixed that muscle imbalance my back pain went away. And all of these static stretches you're showing are absolute gold, everyone should do them back pain or not.
And when i'm thinking of finding this body part amongst your video, here you are uploaded this exact part for me. 😂 I have a question tho, i once tried that seat stretch (knee down, no touch, lean forward), but it ended up with sudden searing pain (idk how to explain in Eng) deep within my right-side butt cheek (i have pain on right side hip and lower back). Is it okay to continue doing this post? Maybe with more careful and lighter movement? 😢
i messed the back of my hip up during volleyball yesterday and i couldn’t find a single stretch that was actually hitting the spot! this was so helpful thatnkyou
@@sreejakarnan5136 For 1 day yes, on day 2 I could not make the exercises (dentist appointment & vertigo during & afterwards) and it came up again, but I will keep trying. 😅💪
I took a pickleball beginner’s class and my muscles in my back were screaming because I woke them up from a long slumber. These excercises help a lot. Some are what I have done in physical therapy after my knee replacements. Thank you!😅
Thanks so much for your such a valuables recovery, healing your heeps! My oldest son was born in Michigan Tech St Joseph Hospital fifty five years ago! My husband is graduated from Michigan Tech! Thanks again for your such vault therapy exercises!
Thankyou for all of these! However, I just don't understand having to do the other side to keep things in balance. Once the painful sides muscle releases, why would you want to do the side that doesn't have the problem. Seems that your putting the stress back onto the painful side by squeezing those muscles again. Hope I made this clear. Ty
Thank you so much for all your work making these videos. I have had a left lumbar to left hip/groin injury since May 2024 (it is now Nov 2024). The doctors I have gone to are clowns and they keep passing me between 6 doctors. Very frustrating. I have gotten better because of me learning and watching your TH-cam videos. It has been a long healing process. I can't thank you enough 🤍
I think I hurt the glute you showed at the gym doing split stance jumps. My left hip is very angry. I looked you up to get these exercises. I have recommended you to many people. Thank you.
Great vid, advice and practical demonstrations. Can't wait to practice some of these later today. Exactly what I've been looking for, for my circumstances. 🙏👍😁🔥
@@DrRowe@DrRowe practiced these exercises. Found the stretch laying down on back and crossing one leg over the other and rotating hips to side very useful, intense but found relief. Also the clam shell bridge and hip hiker i think i will start using in my exercise workouts, found them useful too. Hip hiker especially was great, i have been doing something similar like the hip hiker, but i was just going up and down on the standing leg. Actually focusing on raising the hip itself seems like a gold standard to me personally, love it. 👍🙏💪 Hopefully improvements in next few weeks. 🙏
This video and your past uploads totally helped me. Thanks so much for taking the effort to make these videos and share your knowledge publicly. God bless you sir. One question though, is it safe for me to continue working out at the gym (Push Pull Legs routine). I do it 3x a week. I've been avoiding overhead military press and deadlift because of this lower back issue (left side mostly) so been doing alternatives instead.
These exercises have really helped my pain significantly, and I even tried one of the strengthening exercises. I will definitely be using the seated exercise during work. Thank you so much for getting right to the solutions, too!
Perfect timing! I literally came out to my car to call a chiropractor and was getting frustrated because I cant find any opening today. These exercises definitely helped ease some pain
hey doc! you are doing great just wanted to ask u if i should be worried about my left shoulder it pops everytime when i do external rotation and overhead arm raise! and if i shouldnt be worried is there any video of yours which can help me with this issue?
Can't do the Clam Bridge lift. Too much pain in the hip and made things worse. I did try some of the stretches and they seemed to help. I have one-sided pain in the hip and thigh on the left side. Have had it now for 2 months going onto three! Nothing seems to help; sometimes I can't even sleep due to the extreme pain. What's weird is it came on suddenly. I took a walk on a Saturday with my dog. Nice gentle walk. Woke on Sunday morning unable to move or walk due to left side pain. Saw my doctor and he diagnosed shingles?? In one day with no rash?? I am in process of changing doctors.
Most likely, you'll find you are limited to what you can do on painful side vs the 'good side'. Since we want to keep things in balance, you'll only want to do as much (i.e. reps and sets) on the good side as what you did on the painful side. Hope this helps!
