and also have a quick look at the shock oil as well.

Great video Dave. I always Do this to all my new rig's. I just make sure it works and the i take them apart and grease and check for any Faults ..lol..I have too Just for peace of Mind...lol. Keep them coming Brother. Big Thumbs up.

Yeah they have that keyway for easy replacement of that just that gear if needed, diffs look better than previous models, no wear at all from the last 2 drives lol, cheers for watching bro 👍

Your the first one I’ve seen check their difs on a 104001 on TH-cam. Good on ya mate. Everyone on TH-cam knows how the 144001 and 124019 were when it came to grease. And So far no one except you has checked their 104001. Mines delayed from banggood but when I get it.

Thanks for this video. Can't believe there's no grease on the diffs assembly. That'll generate a lot of heat. I'm going to have to do this when I upgrade mine to brushless. Also, I've seen that kind of tire wear on my old Tamiya cars from running them on the street too much. As you mentioned the wear is related to the camber. Good job as always David!
Thanks Ryan, the previous 124018/19 also had very little to no grease in the diff's as well, so this is a must do before running these rc cars. Cheers for watching 👍

@@PERTHWESTOZRC stripped out the diff's on the 144001, zero grease as expected, runs so much smoother now. started doing it will all mine now. thanks Dave.

Yeah seems like they wanted to quickly get these cars out of the factory and skipped on the grease 😆 so definitely want to add your own to make these last! Thanks for watching mate, have a good weekend👍
hello thank you for your video and your tips - please why don't you use oil in the diff ? and prefer grease. Doesn't grease have the disadvantage of drying out over time. is this car equipped with 2 or 3 diffrentials ? Take care yourself, regards Pascal
I’ve never had grease dry up, I just prefer using grease in the differentials than oil, but it’s just personal preference really, thanks for watching Pascal
What size wheel and tire are they for replacement tires?

Do the diffs have or feel like they need any shims? That was a reliability I used to have with the 14th scale one
No they don't seen to need shims on this model, they just need grease that's for sure! Thanks for watching mate 👍

What kind of grease do you use into motor pinion box?
Same high temp bearing grease as I did in the differentials, thanks for watching👍
think they dont put that much grease in diffs because it wont hit claimed speed after i grease mine i noticed was alot slower
Hi! Why is there grease in the differential, and not oil??
Wltoys just seem to use grease but you can use oil in these diffs if you wish to as they are sealed with gaskets, thanks for watching 👍
Zinc gears tho is that why they don’t hammer a lot of grease in them?
Not sure, I put it down to being a tight a*$ company tbh, none of their rc models have grease in the diffs

I thought those tires looked soft when I first saw them, maybe the older version tires would last longer, maybe grease is expensive in China 😆👍🏻

Why do you put so much grease? It's just making it a pseudo locked diff. It has a gasket which means it should be able to contain silicon oil within.
Never had problem putting grease mate, makes all the metal geared diff's in all my RC cars and trucks last much longer and it hasn't made it a locked diff, i don't like using oils, each to their own 👍

Same here mate, i have a few pricier RC's that have had little amounts of grease in the diff and housing, best to check em all and add your own on every RC you own i reckon! cheers for watching mate 🍻
