I don't really get this video Ryan, it's kind of not your usual style of video or your usual attitude. I race Tekno 1/8 stuff, but products like this have a place - that place is not really at the track however. I bought my kids the smaller version of this, the 144001 and they have immense enjoyment from running around the park and on the street. Sometimes after a club day, they will jump on the track with them too. We should be encouraging anyone with any brand, to continue to grow our hobby, rather than the elitist attitude that comes through in this video.
The 144001 runs over 60 km/h. Idk y he even telling this model is the worst, atleast it runs 45 km/h + i will actually tell its a good car. It will be awesome on a brushless upgrade
I loved the video …if the car sucks it sucks !!! And as a Rc community we should call DYFS on you for buying your kids this Chinese piece of crap…. Instead of LOSI MINI-B or T have a nice day Sir…..GREAT VIDEO Mr.Harris 🙏
I don’t know what the heck y’all are talking about. You took a stock Chinese toy and ran a second and a half off pro lap times. That thing is awesome! #Facts #TLR #Til #I #Die
@@nick92065 yes, it's a toy... not built for race but as a cheap basher. nobody wants to start the hobby spending thousands of dollars on professional stuff
@@maxroczen7558 Yes but other than the tyres (and possibly the battery), changing one of those things requires changing all of those things. Changing the 5-wire servo will require a new ESC, which means a new receiver has to be added because the car comes with a 2-in-1 ESC/Receiver combo. Changing the motor to a brushless unit will also require a new ESC since the current one won't handle brushless motors.
@@RCRacingLegends then just change the tyres and battery to get the 5%. No doubt that this isn't a race car, but I don't think it pretends to be. I'm just surprised it's only 5% slower - with the wrong tyres on.
No hate from me... like you, I view most cars through the lens of a racer. But since I started my channel, every year around Christmas time I get lots of questions from kids who's parents won't spend more than $100-$150. These kids don't have transportation to a track or a budget for a real race car kit and everything that goes into making one race ready. They just want to get their foot in the door. For under $150, they have a drivable 1/10 scale package including a battery and charger. The extra money needed to get something better is simply unattainable for some people. The 104001 is bad... the worst part is the poor assembly, not to mention the 3.11oz flywheel and the plastic tires. To people interested in this car, I recommend tearing down the car and doing a rebuild before even running it once. It's a great exercise for the total newbie to learn the guts of an RC car and get comfortable working on one. It does have it's positive points like adjustable linkages all around. Most cars in that price range don't have adjustable camber and toe. BTW, your friend was incorrect about the price of the Associated RTRs... both the buggy and SCT are $400 with a battery and charger and are only 2wd.
@@beachinrc101 Hi, I didn't make the comparison... around the middle of the video, Ryan's friend mentions that for a little more money "about $300", you can get a descent RTR from a manufacturer like Associated. He was wrong about the price. I anso think he may have thought that the RTR's he mentioned were 4wd, which they are not. I've done multiple videos on the 104001 and though it has problems, I believe that if it's all you can afford, it's a lot of buggy for the money. For the beginner on a budget, it's a decent place to start and a great way to learn how RC cars work.
@Daft Donkeys That car doesn't include a transmitter or a lipo or a charger. The 104001 runs right out of the box without having to buy anything else. There are a lot of people that can only afford the $100-$150... Also the tt-02b is 100% fixed geometry, no turnbuckles. You'll never learn a thing about setting up a car with that buggy. In my videos, I recommend doing a complete tear down and rebuild before even running the car once. This is because the car comes poorly assembled with leaking shocks and dry diffs. Look, I understand that the car is a low quality clone made from cheap materials, but you can't get more car for the same amount of money. Everyone who suggests something else always neglects to mention that their suggested vehicle costs twice as much to make it a running car. By the time you buy a cheap radio, a lipo and a charger, you've spent an additional +$100... are you going to tell some 13 year old kid to buy a car and then wait another year till the next Christmas to drive his car?
Glad you're here! Not hating on anyone for having one, just hoping you can work into something else that will help you go faster and be supported by your fellow racers and hobbyshops.
@@toolbaggers yup - I just bought two 144001s, one for myself and one for my stepdaughter. She is 9. We bash around the garden, and her control is getting very good. it is a GREAT way to spend only little money and see if the RC interest truely bites with a kid! In hindsight, I should have bought 3 cars, and just used 1 for spares. Stuff breaks, but we are driving together without any major fuss. There is no way I would have done this if i had to start with $5-600+ to get two "hobby-grade" RC cars.
@@KristianHerner same I just got a 144010 it's super fun. I wouldn't of spent more. I don't plan to race, never did, but now I might be open to the possibility of trying a track if I find one. It's just for fun though. I've pre-ordered a bunch of common spares, they're also pretty cheap, just need to plan ahead. Dumborc transmitter fixes the delays I'm told but I don't even notice them yet. I wouldn't recommend it for a racer though, but I do wonder if it could be upgraded to be acceptable.
Just ordered one 124008 for 116 €uros.. Best bang for the money! RC Snobery at its heights in this video🤦♂️🤦♂️. Why ffs would we invest 200+ dolleros for some entry level car.. not to mention"must do" upgrades to have the whole rc community's support🤦♂️then breaking parts&stuff.. it makes whole experience A lot expensive.. just to have some fun🤦♂️. Thanks to Chinese friends we can get some taste of rc bashing & not draining my wallet. 💪💪 cheers to dirt cheap rc's owners having some fun.. from europe
Sound like a fun cheap track car to me, I wouldn't race it, no one should. But by itself it sounds like cheap fun to throw around on the track. And it's only 1 second of pace with no setup and hard carpet style tires, maybe it's not bad or the 22x is that slow.
Treat it like a $140 kit . . . . expecting it to match a $1K race rig is ridiculous . . . . Rebuilding shocks and diffs with proper fluids, making sure nothing is binding, add race-spec motor/esc/servo and Sanwa radio. Finally, proper tires for the surface. Yes, it still doesn't address build/parts quality, local parts availability, and race setup support. For the record I think a used "name brand" last generation racer is probably money better spent, but don't think the WL would be that bad if given the same attention as your race car.
People have alot of fun with those wltoys buggies and they get people into the hobby without spending $2000. I dont care about serious racing though its just a fun hobby to me.
Usually a fan of your vids , but not this one , I hate to say it but you looked better driving the "WL Junkatron" than you did when you drove your 22X4 ! Maybe you used the wrong angle trying to get your message accross , it's always best to use the same or similar car to what everyone else has at the track for sure . You will always get people show up with these things , perhaps pointing out the flaws by using a less hateful tone and showing how to tune out some of the crappy traits may have been more helpful?
You compare a $550 car to a $140 car, spend the entire time whining about how terrible it is, point out how it's on the wrong tires, and then turn laps that aren't much slower? Your tone doesn't match what you're showing us.
..and the $550 car is set up for the dirt track, rather than set up for a carpet track. What would happen If you had the nice car straight out the box on dirt tyres and spent an hour setting the WLtoys up then raced them both on carpet?
Lmfao dude it’s not even a comparison…WLTOYS are cheap pieces of shit. I own one. The alloys are cheap as shit, the electronics are even worse..it’s just not a race rc. It’s a toy, marketed as a “good racer” for some reason.
Love your videos, but I'm curious how different your times would be with the cheapo platform if you put the same tires from your pro buggy on and took the time to set it up with just basic tuning like you would your TLR car. That would make a worthy Part 2 to this series.
You were saying its so bad, and yet I'm seeing consistent laps and your doubles being cleanly cleared... put tires on it, adjust fluids, swap a servo and then show us what its got.
Same geometry but different material and dimensions (i.e. thickness), even plastic has so much variation and different characters… it gives different feel of driving
Products need to be reviewed with the way they are marketed. If a product claims that it is the best RC off-road race car out there then you need to evaluate it as such. This product doesn't really make that claim. It is clearly an entry level RC-car that costs a fraction of what most people at the race track use. It is kind of ridiculous to take it to a race track and point out how it isn't anywhere near as good. A better review would be to hand it to a kid who never used an RC car before and see if he can get it around the track after a few days.
Nice to hear an honest review of this car, instead of people trying to tell me it's comparable to any of the big brands if not better. However I do think the review should have included a section with the WL running the same electronics and tyres and how much the WL would cost set up that way
@@robertmckendry8670 I wouldn't even say it was honest, they are biased towards high end equipment... they claim a RTR T.A. buggy is $200, but they all retail for $500, that's 4 times the amount of the WLtoys. You could assembly a monster out of this car if you put that into it....
@@grsemky1022 Yes, incorrectly stating the cost of the RTR didn’t exactly help him prove his point. And again, I do think there is at least some validity to his point.
How can you call it bad when it's a literal copy of an xray xb4 where you can use any Xb4 part and also you: -ran trash batteries -ran the wrong tyres for the track -didn't adjust the gearing -didn't run a good servo. Obviously with a decent servo, radio, batteries and tyres, which you need anyway to race, its a very cheap start in racing.
Those buying these things know it's cheap.. that's the whole point is the value aspect. It gets them 80% of the experience with 10% of the cost of a full competition race setup. IMO these are designed for kids and backyard bashers and non competitive racers and countries that cannot get or afford top tier brands. For what it is, it's far better than any toy store RC car I've ever seen. Inferior to a hobby shop race car? Yes. Good value for what it is? YES
comparing a box stock $150 rtr with your $1k+ rig isn't really fair, is it? what am I supposed to take away from this video other than you don't like racing a car that wasn't designed or advertised for racing? are you going to buy a grill next and tell me how bad it is at washing my underwear? at least pretend to give the car a fair shot. how hard would it have been to swap tires with your losi? to me that just comes off as lazy video making.
I don't know who made the decision that that buggy should come with carpet tires, but I'm guessing the boss showed the designer a picture of an Xray with carpet tires, and told him to copy it. And so he did...
@@RazorRC With all respect to your great channel, what is your point again? And it is not even true. Besides, my Servo cost one third of the kit price from my asso b6.3. The only questionable thing is, these xray parts are a 100% perfect fit. So is it really legal to copy exactly the same dimensions? I am confused wltoys...
The spirit of this video is different and way off compared with Ryan’s other videos. I get that this might be the worst rc RACE car (hence if you are a racer or a would be racer, stay out of it), but a technical person like Ryan should have at least changed the tires (what he often preach) for fair comparison. No effort no value. I expected more.
Agreed. I thought Ryan would have a different perspective on the car costing only $120 RTR. Looking at the heat sheet, there were people with far more expensive cars than the WL Toys, that were still off Ryan's time. I'm unsubscribing.
@@tangarz5357 it was never made to race it was made to run in the street. Or in slight offroad Its is mediocre but better than toy grade at walmart. Some people this was their first car and got them into the hobby. This is why bashers/crawlers and speed runners do not like racers. Because they act cocky like this. Everyone doesnt have 300$ to ditch into a brand name rc especially right now.
I have this car, I think with some minor upgrades it has potential. Yes it's now a bit of a polished turd and I don't expect it to be competitive. In hindsight probably should have bought a TLR but hey, it's MY polished turd
@@alphawlff It depends.. Due to popularity of WLtoys, plenty of smaller RC-web-companies buy a bunch of these, so you can quite often find spare parts quickly, atleast here in Sweden. It is actually a pretty good start-up business: you sell cheap RTR cars that break alot. And you can supply spare parts in a day.
The car looks really well balanced actually. If you put track suitable tyres on, rebuild the diffs and shocks you'd shave a good chuck of a second off that time, mainly in tyres. I'm betting if you'd put your Losi down kit set up, wrong tyres you'd do similar times so it's really not comparable at all. This could of made a great series aimed at new comers with making small gradual changes to your car and seeing how it could improve lap times. You could of started with oils, tyres, small set ups. Then upgrades to the electrics one by one. The durability thing is just rubbish, you guys clearly gave the car some hammer and ball cups pop off. Mine did last week on my AE 2wd and it's pretty new. These things happen. How can you write off the whole car due to ONE ball cup. We need fresh people into the hobby otherwise it will die. I've been racing for nearly 25 years but I really hate this elitist attitude that comes across in this video. PS you do realise pretty much all top level cars are made in China! Really disappointed with this video!
I'm glad I watched the entire video because I thought the title and initial content in the video were pretty mean-spirited and not what I expect from Ryan. Some people can't afford racing kits or even decent RTRs. Those cheapo WL Toys are fairly popular entry level bashers though, and they introduce a lot of people to the hobby when they don't have enough money to get a better car or simply don't want to drop $300-$1000 on a hobby they don't know if they'll like. I think the question in the end of "is it worth it?" is when we started to get away from plain bashing the WL Toys and into constructive advise. It is important that you have support from your local hobby shop and it's important to take durability into account when choosing an RC. Simply saying "get this more expensive option instead of this" isn't very constructive. Ryan, I'm a huge fan of your content and I think you've done WAY more to support the hobby versus the damage this one video could do, but I felt like I needed to share my take on this one.
I appreciate your comment! In short, this car is not good at bashing, crawling, or racing. I firmly believe no one should spend their hard earned money on this when there are many other good options to suit their needs within a reasonable comparative price range.
I'm super confused on the whole bashing of a stock $130 RTR car on calling it a Chinese Cheap Knock-Off.... everything comes from China. Literally everything. There is not a single car out there, that doesn't come from China. I know.. I'm the manufacturer for this space. A cheap knock off that compares to your regular vehicle... is the worst car ever? Seeing your response to these comments on, don't support their platform, do better. Not everyone has that money man. Sometimes you go out work a 80hour week just to make ends meet, but you want to get something for your kid, because they deserve it, 150$ is your max budget after saving for 3-4 paychecks. I just think you're being harsh here on a very entry level toy. I do agree, this car isn't great and shouldn't be used to con people into buying it for a budget racer, but it'll get more people into the hobby, and at the end of the day, that's all that matters. People have fun, and there's more fresh blood joining. You don't want to pay wall people from joining in on the action, unless you want everyone to lose their sponsors and the hobby to die. 100% fact, if the demand drops, we the manufacturers will leave this hobby in the dust, because we have employees we need to take care of.
Hardcore Rc racer thinks a $120 car is crap compared to his $1500 setup. 🤷🏻♂️ I don’t think other than the remarks on poor durability this really discredited the Car. For $120 it looked great and week ball cups is a good thing if you can get spares. Saves more expensive and difficult to replace parts from breaking. If the diff has decent seals why don’t you put in the appropriate oil, tune the shocks and put the correct tyres on and then you might be even closer in lap times to your expensive setup. I don’t thing a rtr associated is $200 somehow. Many negative on a car like the wltoys is the spares and customer support availability that I don’t think you mentioned
Yeah I missed the last minute of the video so hence my post above. I have had my kids run bsr 4wd from hobby king and parts have been fairly easy to find as team c from eurorc. So I think Ryan should have started the video with this angle. Title could have been “do we break a car that has no part supply on its first practice?”
Parts support is a local thing. I need to mail order everything apart from hsp. I can afford to buy a full spare wl toys roller for parts tho, so better than the big brand stuff
The backlash is gonna be harsh in the comments ryan lol ! This wltoys rc is one of most appreciated on the net ! And for good reasons... I'd recommend you to open your mind and not be so much "china bashing". These wltoys are quite nice especially the new iteration of that particular model
When I was a kid growing up in the 80s and 90s.. My first rc cars were Tyco brand.. They looked cool, werent fast at all, when they broke, it was 6-8 weeks after you ordered your parts out of a calalog, fixing those cheap cars took forever.. BUT thats what my parents could afford 1, and 2 I really loved those cars no matter what. I Fell in love with RC by playing with those cheap cars, the batteries took 4-8 hours to charge and they only had full left or full right steering, but it didnt matter it my My RC and I Had a blast... Now I have 7 cars that I race, but I work pay for my toys myself, Ive been in love with RC since the first time I had one.. Thats the Heart and Soul of RC, Having fun, and you can achieve that with any level of car. Love your videos, glad you made the second video... Hope to see you at the track someday..
So I got one,got new shock springs changes oils, filled diffs with oil,got a 50 dollars metal parts kit. This thing does really well at my local carpet track. For 200 bucks it's rips. Not a bad kit for beginners
When you put the right motor and esc in it, it is a good competition buggy he is racing it with the stock motor and esc and without the right tires for that course
I get it. You and your high-level racing buddies set out to make a video where you beat up on the cheap RC, and have some laughs. It’s the same thing I did in college when the cycling club I belonged to had a “Huffy toss” and we beat up on a Wal Mart Huffy, and scoffed at how crappy it was compared to our bike shop bikes. But a Huffy is not an Cervelo, and a Wltoys RC is not a TLR, and I think you know that. I can appreciate your opinion to spend a little more up front, and I support that. (I always steer people away from Wal-mart bikes). Sometimes more expensive things just work better, and that’s just how it is. But this video wasn’t the way to tell people that. There are 100’s of other TH-cam channels out there with strong, one sided, opinions about RC’s. If I wanted narrow-viewed opinions for shock value, I’d subscribe to one of those. But I subscribe to your channel because you’re always fair, smart and articulate. I learn something positive from every video I watch. Not-so-much on this one. I get what you were trying to do, but this one misses the mark. I just hope this doesn’t set the tone for future videos.
i feel like you accomplished the opposite of what you were trying to achieve with this video lol. seems to me like only being 1 second off from your losi buggys lap times, im SURE you could achieve that 1 second difference with the WL toys car by simply running the same tires as the Losi. and to top it off, if you put some heavier shock oil in the shocks so its not so bouncy, and put in a decent steering servo (most racers have extras laying around or donors from other cars) and i bet you could turn same lap times with something that cost 1/4th the price lol. i guess durability is the only main concern, but if the only issue you ran into was ball cups popping off, again swap them over from a "real" kit.
If you want to race it, go for it! Don't let me stop anyone. If I am going to continue to help folks get into to rc racing, I will not suggest this platform to anyone EVER. It is inferior in every way shape and form.
If you want a fair comparison, do the same modifications you did to your race buggy. Use the right tires for the track (swap them off the race buggy), fill the shocks and diffs, and spend a little time on the setup. Replacing the servo, ESC, and motor is probably too much effort and cost.
@@RyanHarrisRC oh i get it. id never recommend a WL toys car to any beginner. however, the medium intermediate level racer (like my self) looks at a car like this and wonders if it can be made to compete on a budget. i could be wrong, but judging from the comments, id say that people wanting an affordable 2nd or 3rd class is the majority lol
@@HPIFreak I’ve got a 22 5.0 and I love it. Hands down it’s the best race big I’ve ever had. My 22 SCT is pretty awesome too but right now I can’t afford another RC. I would run my old XXX-4 G+ but if I break it, I may not be able to get parts for it. So I’ve been looking forward to the 104001 and those lap times with competitive intervals and capable hands, give me a lot of hope for this buggy!
It's like I say about the snap-on tools I buy ... Yes cheep tools will do the job just like a cheep rc car will go around the track but if a winners circle is what you want then ya got to pay the price
This car has never been sold as a race buggy. It's dumb to compare it as such. It's basically like a lower end Tamiya kit, except it's RTR so even lower total cost than a base TT02B kit.
@@shadow7037932 if this car isn't built to race then what is it's purpose??? So, carpet tires and no setup or tuning?! Maybe, in part 2, we will see some oil in the diffs, shock oil/spring changes, some effort on setup? Don't get me wrong, I don't expect this to hang with the big boys but at least give it a fighting chance! As for pricing, there is NOTHING comparable in the 4wd class as just about every one is a kit and needs electronics, tires and batteries. Regardless, don't see one in my future, lol. Keep up the good work 👍
I agree! 1 second off race pace for 120 bucks?!? I bet he could wring a second out of the setup. Even the best RTR's will need a servo and the right tires.
I ran it as it comes out of the box to get a full experience of what it is? The moment anyone spends money on this they are eating into a budget that could have been used for a current fully supported model. I think my biggest concern with this car is the racing experience will be very poor and drive someone away or force them to spend more money to catch up to everyone else.
@@RyanHarrisRC What car do you race, out of the box?! Come on dude, lots of wrenching before you put your Losi on a track and you are picking the electronics, tires and batteries. Also, that fully supported model will cost HUNDREDS more. Not saying it's a great vehicle, there are plenty of reasons NOT to buy it but I hardly think its the worse RC car out there, not by a long shot. Put some diff oil in there, set up the shocks and suspension properly, new tires and a decent servo, maybe $120-$150. Total investment, around $250! Show me a wheeler you can put on the track for that! I mean the kit alone starts at $500! A 'Made in China' hater I think, dude!
I don't usually complain about a video, however you took a car that has carpet tires and put it on a dirt track and pretended to make a comparison. People who are buying this car are going out to play and maybe take it to a track and see if they can even navigate around it. I understand what you are saying with regards to supporting a local company and not a knockoff, but put some real tires on it and a better servo and then talk about how it may make a beginner get on a track. Again I agree with what you are saying, but the spirit of this video is just not what I am used to from someone like you. I took you for more of an everymans RC kind of guy, this just makes you look like the elitist TLR racer that I see at my local track. BTW I don't own anything but Tekno, TLR, and associated stuff, with a couple arrmas for bashing and letting my friends play with, so I am not coming from team WLtoys fanboy.
He's sponsored man, it's so obvious he trash talked it to Save face with his sponsors. Everyone knows the wltoys is an Xb4 copy and that is a very competitive, if not the best 4wd 10th buggy. It fits ALL the xray parts and he knows it but he pretended like he didn't. The sponsored driver shilling in this video is SOOOO obvious
@@braydenstanley7495 the ready to run configuration is for absolute beginners, you won't find many kits without everything you need for the price of this one. This can be upgraded though, just add the same stuff to it that you did the race car and then you can have a fair comparison. Ryan talks about changing tires all time, he's huge on picking the correct ones. Basically if you look at this as a pre built chassis then it becomes more of a comparison, as it was it isn't a fair one.
@@braydenstanley7495 How so??? It's carpet tires on a clay track, competing against a car setup for racing with clay tires. Any racer would swap tires to better fit the track, no mater the car. And he was complaining that there's no traction on a car he just took out of a box, and still setting a time only a second off. All this from a car with "toy" in the brand name, not "WL Team" but WLToys...
Please tell me you're going to make a Part 2/3 where you show some ingenuity in fixing the cars weakness, show the 'upgrade path' for useable club-level race electronics, and demonstrate some set-up skills in resolving the handling woes... and then win a club race with it before giving it away in upgraded form in a patreon-based contest.
It's actually a good car for the price.. it preforms better than $200 brand name cars.. I have it and a Stampede and XMax.. and for $120 you really can't beat it
Strange video for your channel IMO. This car was just over one second off your pace @8:50 with the TLR and that is also with it having carpet tires, slow servo, brushed motor blah blah blah. Do I think its a great car no, does it compare to a name brand hobby grade car no. I'm just not sure what your point was with this video. Lets be fair here as well... that AE RB10 RTR for $400 is garbage. You should have plugged the TLR 22 5.0 race roller that is $320 but for some reason you didn't.
The basher world is so much bigger than the racing side of rc. I know many newbies look at this as a viable option to try racing. A RTR short course is much better option for a beginner from a durability stand point, parts availability, and overall local support. My point with this 2 part video is that no one should get a knockoff car to race.
@@RyanHarrisRC But why? Because it is a clone of a real competition buggy? Why not use it as a starter for those who can't afford more? For those who want to "get to know" the hobby first?
@@Elektroman99 because they break easy parts aren’t as available the support is terrible and it will never ever ever be competitive no matter how much money you throw at it.
@@Sackmatters I agree with you. The buggy will not even come close to the durability and precision of a competition buggy. Even if you invest so much money that you have it completely renewed once. That is so, and it is so understandable based on the price and the material. Rayen once made a video here. A video which should appeal to young people, "Be connected". I believe such low budget China Clone buggies give youngsters the opportunity to "approach" this sport once in their first Rookie RC race. They should then be mentored / received by clubs, drivers running the sport. But it opens a door for the masses of RC drivers who never had the opportunity for rookie race participation.
@@Sackmatters I've had the 1/12 version of this car for almost a year and its held together pretty well for the $110 I paid for it. The spares are available from the same site you buy the car from with no issues. Can you find the spares at your local hobby shop? No. I don't have some big hard on for this brand but I can say this car is absolutely not the "worst" RC race car. Ryan's tone sucked balls in this video and that is a fact, the comments speak for themselves. Typically he has an upbeat and positive attitude even if its on a sub par product. Ryan showcased this in his transmitter video with the DX5C unit. You can't put a $140 RC car with carpet tires, a brushed motor etc. on a clay track against a $1000 hobby grade RC and call it the worst RC car... especially when its only (one second) slower. Well you can but people will say bullshit, and in fact they have in these very comments.
Bro it’s for real beginners to get into the hobby..more for home made backyard track bashing kind of fun..that’s the problem when someone brings a rtr to a proper track with the pros they got looked down upon..at least i had fun with Tamiya grasshopper in the 80s..😁
It’s ok parts are very cheap..anyway home made track is mostly without huge jumps and just go round the track for learning orientation etc..some will just bash on road like speed run etc..anyway whoever who is serious about racing should already have financial stability and afford a better car..
Alright, I will say that the video comes off as elitist. But he does have a bit of a point. I did the same thing with my 2wd Slash for years. A few minor upgrades from caps to springs and tires. Hell, I even modified the chassis to make it mid-motor as I had the tools to do so. But it got me into more serious racing. So I don't think this car would be the worst choice for a "basher/racer." Especially if you do take it to a carpet track. Especially since Ryan himself said that tires are the biggest chunk of a setup.
I have two heavily modified 1/18th scale WLtoys bashers, they have a decent amount of money in them for what they are. I'm actually super impressed by them, like really super impressed by them (decent amount of money should be read as about 150ish dollars with upgraded electronics, motors, a arms, and shocks.) They're perfect for around the house because of their size, they're stupid fast, for their size, and tons of fun.
RC snobs are not needed , not everyone can spend 2k for 1 RC , i got a WLtoys when i first got into RC and now 15 RCs later its still defintely not a terrible or worst car, you cant compare a 100$ car to a car that costs 20 times more
@@RyanHarrisRC No offense but you are being very very mean to this product and wl toys is one of the biggest companies that get people into this hobby. I think that you just can not compare this product to your 6000 dollar car. Try and find a better car on the track then this one for the same price. I dare you
I'll chance to say it is 1/20th the cost of your race ready ride and only a second off pace! ON CARPET TIRES no less! Go through the car. Build the shocks and the diffs. Put a servo in it. Put tires on it. Super curious to see what would result.
Go through all that cost and trouble and you might as well just start with a RTR Losi, AE, or Traxxas. Plus any of those 3 will be 10x more durable, and when they do break you'll have immediately available parts at a local store
@@tazercow agree! Traxxas slash is where to start in my opinion. I'm just impressed that he got almost withing a second lap time when comparing 120 bucks to, what, his 2 thousand dollar race ready rig? That speaks volumes to me....
@@oPAULo711 doesn't matter how fast the laps are if it breaks before the main is finished. That's the big weakness of kits like this on track. And when it does break you better hope you brought the right spares because the track sure won't have any.
@@tazercow Haha! I know that pain! We started with a Duratrax Evader and I still race Kyosho. Nobody has parts for either. You learn pretty quick to not hit the pipe.
@@tazercow nope, mail order for me for all the brands you said.. and as for the effort, let's be honest, if we are buying a buggy to race we are probably going to set up shocks and swap diff oil anyway.
Ryan, I feel you did a few things wrong in this video. 1st you did not prep the car. Didn't tear it down, check for loose screws, make sure all oil and grease are in it( and the right oil for the track), these are some of the things you would normally do for any car you have. Just grabbing a car and racing it without the preps is something you don't do. This car had a very unfair view. I wish u would redo this video, prep and check the car and then race it, then any negative comments would be more justified.
A lot of people are commenting along the lines of "but if you just get quality servo, tires, shocks, tie rods etc" in defense of this car as a racing option. Surely if you're going to spend money on getting some race quality parts you'd be better off buying a second hand car that someone has raced for a season or so, with quality parts as stock... even if it's not the latest model you're likely to get something better than the wltoys car, have more luck sourcing spare parts when something breaks, be able to leverage other racer's previous experience with the car to help with tuning/setup and be much more enjoyable/easy to work on. RC racing is not a cheap hobby if you're running a fully blinged out setup, but if you're not keen or able to spend up large there are better options than buying a toy grade car and trying to make it race ready.
Now put the same tires and electrics from your TLR in the WLtoys and see how close the laptimes are. Oil up the diffs, set the mesh and shim them. Give it the same attention you do on your spendy setups, spend some time setting up the shocks. Wrap a bit of Pfte tape on the tie rod balls. See how it goes then. As for spares they absolutely are available in the states as well as overseas on the slow boat.
Ryan needs to give us a shopping list.RTR or parts. The minimum viable product needs to include everything (battery, charger, radio) that Ryan would recommend a beginner who wants to drive/race 1/10 4WD electric buggy. And then add up the price.
Just for the sake of content I think you should throw some race rdy electronics electronics in it and put some appropriate tires on it and give it another go, maybe enter it into a club race or something. I think this would be fun and would give it the best possible chance to succeed. Kinda like what someone who bought this and started racing would do. Im sure it will end catastrophically, but hey that will make some great footage :) Thanks Ryan for the great content!
I am sure there is a kid out there who watched this video and may own this car. How do you think they may feel now? Your videos are usally very positive and like you have said in the past, "My goal is to promote the hobby espicially at the grass roots level." This a video that you may want to take down. Cmon Ryan
I agree, these videos are normally positive learning experiences and this just came off as elitist...there are people out there who don't have the extra $400 to buy something nicer. Plus these are more or less built for bashing. The spare parts are cheap, just order them in advance when you order the buggy. I'll probably never have the chance to race a buggy, much less own something like what these guys own in the videos...but I love to tinker with these cheaper buggies and bash them around, that's who these are made for. It's pretty well known that these need a little tuning out of the box. I'm willing to bet the experience would of been a lot better with some oil in the diffs, some shock adjustment and the right tires.
From the basher scene i come from this car is quite liked i dont personally i had 2 wltoys they were just not for me, wiating overseas for parts nah. But someone who never touched rc and has something like this as a gift to get started is wonderful but nah lets trash it. This Car was never designed to race

You are not comparing them on an equal playing feild at all. Poor video with a bad attitude. Also you did nothing with this car to give it a fair chance... no alignment, no diff grease, old version of the car that is brushed, old version of receiver, not the right tires for the track, etc... Would love a new video with a fair comparison to a ready to run TLR race buggy out of the box.
Lee made the most important point. IF you are going to race RCs and it's not your first contact with the hobby, there are way better options. If it it's first contact, that thing is just as good as any other chinese RTR or maybe even one of the best in it's tier of RTR cars.
I agree, at less than 25% the cost of your regular ride, Not including radio and electronics........this video is a waste of everyone’s time😂 Btw, most of your equipment is Chinese.....RC or not😎 Snobby Kids😱
2015 xray xb4 clone - my suspicion anyways. I know another company besides wltoys that knocked the xb4 off too- lc racing. I'd love to see it with some oil in the diffs and some decent tires. We ALL know that no matter how underpowered, slow steering servo, etc, the wrong tires make everything else irrelevant.
Yes, it is xb4 clone (not sure about the year). Plus there is one more company selling something I call "semi-clone". It is DK4 by SNRC. Surprisingly, the plastic/composite parts on DK4 are branded XRAY (and they claim it is produced by XRAY in EU). I got one of these by accident (ordered RWD drifting chassis, but the seller did not have one, so we agreed that he sends me DK4 - my first buggy so cannot compare with other brands, and I only bash it).
@@andrejturcan Mate it is pretty much designed like any modern buggy, but on a budget. If you say it is an XB4 clone most new buggy's are clone of the 2015 XB4, that lay out was a game changer my B74 looks similar to my XB42020.
@@Aro800 you're right. Nevertheless, XB4 parts, according to some other videos, can be used as direct replacements. That's the only reason for my claim.
Would be interested to see a racers perspective on other budget hobby grade cars around a track. Tamiya Tt02b, losi mini t2.0 the upcoming ae rb10 rtr buggy. Stuff like that. Even the vintage re-res. Yeah, we know it’s not gonna be as ‘good’ as a pure race buggy but it would be fun to watch you try and wrestle a Tamiya Lunchbox around a track 😂
I've had a ton of fun with my WlToys 124019. It was a fun cheap basher out of the box in brushed form and now it currently has a 120A ESC, 3.5t 540 motor, and is setup for speed runs. Current PB is 101 mph. They are fun, cheap, cars that you can cut up or thrash without any guilt.
I do not want to put anyone at risk of being unsupported as a new racer. Encouraging someone to buy a $140 car with $300 of upgrades sounds enticing to some. The reality is they will spend 4 times that amount in tires and entry fees over the course of a year of racing (if the vehicle somehow survives that long). I want people to get into racing more than anyone! This vehicle is a cheap bait and switch that will drive people out over time.
I love when a racer compares a low end RTR to their race prepped $1000+ car and call it trash. Makes me want to get one and try it out with a few upgrades(servo, tires, and diff fluid).
Love your videos and what you do but tbh this seems like a bit of gate keeping. If this is what people can afford then what's the issue and to say if you turn up at a track with it people will look down their nose at you basically puts people off turning up at all. It was on 1 second off a full race spec car, surely that means it has a lot of potential and also gives people without a lot of disposable cash a chance to start at the hobby on a budget.
I don't own this car, never will, and have always had something from AE/TLR/XRay. I agree that if someone is serious about the hobby, it is a waste of money. However, your comments below and the content of the video do not foster any growth in the hobby. For most people, the biggest barrier of entry for our hobby is the cost. Even used, a discontinued (bad parts support) B64/22-4/XB4 can cost over 2X the amount of money without a transmitter, receiver, batteries, and charger! The Pro4 is $310 without battery and charger. Even if you scored something RTR for $200, that $70 difference is HUGE to many people. This may be $130 wasted in the long run, but if 10% of the people who buy this get serious about racing, the hobby would grow so much more! Playing off one of your comments below: "If someone brought this to the track the first thing I would do is get my personal radio in their hands so they can drive something current and supported by the people they are racing with." They would never be at the track if they didn't have something affordable to race in the first place. I love your content and will continue to support you. I just feel that the video could have been used to show the downsides of this low bar of entry, rather than say it shouldn't exist at all. While you did say something close to this towards the end of the video, the rest was filled with content that reestablishes that high bar of entry.
X2 - this video was a letdown- came off like a bunch of primadonnas making fun of stuff that an entry level racer might have. What about the kid who has one of these, is super stoked about it, watches this video, and swear off ever going to a track cause they don't want to get made fun of? This video is a dream crusher. I was watching and really hoping for some of 'well, it isn't the best car, but if this is what you have, here's how to improve it' - or here's why you don't want to. Atleast show what it has under the shell & help foks understand why it might not be the best thing to invest in.
Got my pro4 a month ago as soon as they released it I ordered and I can’t bring myself to run it. It’s one nice car. Only car I have that I’ll shelf queen for the winter. 25+ cars…. Over $20,000 usd invested.
I’d love to see what kind of lap times it could turn if it was tuned and set up a bit. For $120.00 it seems like it did ok. An entire class of these could be a hoot to compete with. 🤣. Thanks for posting this up.👍🏼
No one is going to buy this car to race let's face it. Taking it to the track and then moaning about it is kinda stupid. You should be at least saying that it's not too bad for the price or it could be better with a couple cheap upgrades. By the way team associated short course trucks are more than double the price so if you spent a little extra on upgrades it could actually be good at the track
You need to do more videos like this, + you could try: Putting posh electronics in it, so then you are only comparing the car itself Perhaps rebuild it with diff oil / correct tyres / shock oil.
I would agree here. WOuld be good to put your radio stuff, e decent servo, some setup correction and see how it goes. With the cost of your M17, you could get 5 of those Wl Toys.To be fair in comparison, a bit of extra work on it would be good. Waiting for episod 2 :)
the cars you guys suggest are 4 to 6, or more times expensive. wl toys are cheap and still a great beginner car, and they make great kit cars for modding. i think you guys mean well, but you need a reality check. i sure wouldn't spend 600 on a toy car for my kid for xmas.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON I've loved all 3 Wltoys I own. 144001, 124017, k969, and actually have a 104001. Been more durable than all my Tamiya and Traxxas stuff, and faster out of the box (Likely not the car in this video though- I'm probably going to put a brushless system in mine.) Point is in my opinion for the value especially these are excellent cars. I don't race, I just bash, and these do that PERFECTLY.
I play with it in my backyard and let my little cousin play with it. If I have to pay $300 more for a “better driving experience” in my back yard then I’m good. They are easy to find for $80 by the way. However if I’m going serious in the hobby then yeah I get it. This is stupid. But this was meant for my little cousin. So chill
I'd be really interested to see how much faster you could make this go, with a better steering servo, tyres and prepping the car to race... Plus some RPM ballcups. We used to run 14th scale versions of these and RPM ballcups, tyres and a lipo made these very durable and competitive
That car is a legend😂. "Hey, it's my first time on this track!" Sureee Ryan, haha. Also, it'd be interesting and possibly entertaining to put a high end setup in a cheapo like that, or vice-versa
I have to mirror alot of the earlier comments. I think it was highly unfair to compare your kit TLR with a RTR straight out the box. There are plenty of upgrades for the Wltoys 104001 that could be used to improve the car. At the very least you could have fitted the correct tires for the track as that would of been better comparison. Also the wltoys is not a competition car by any stretch of the imagination but it much better than a lot of other cheap rc cars out there. With that said it is a nice entry level car for someone starting off in rc. I know your friend said for an extra 80 to 100 bucks and you could go get a AE car. For that amount you could also get a new esc motor and probably servo upgrade for the Wltoys model. And as far as obtaining parts you have to look no further than amazon or Ebay or a site like Banggoods to get options parts. This was very much a apples and oranges test what you did. Ultimately very surprised at your closed minded approach to this particular content. I usually really look forward to your content as it always of feel good nature but this was just a bashing exercise. But hey ho its done now. I hope that you go back to doing your usual high caliber content that I look forward to.
Have to agree, I was a bit surprised at hoe this just became a bash fest. Not really objective, but hey, it's Ryan's channel and he can put whatever he wants up. I guess I was just expecting a bit more.
I have one of these. Just a 15t HPI motor woke it up some. My servo has none of the issues his car seemed to have. A few bucks, a carbon chassis kit, which is dirt cheap for this car. It is basically a clone of some of the top racing units out there.
i have a neighbor that bought a ready to run smaller scale Associated car, but cleaning it and working on it and trying to get parts for it caused him to toss it in the trash. He said that if he had spent a little extra he could have had good car that he could clean and gets parts for easily. It's personal preference at this point, Ryan and his companion racers are obviously experienced drivers expressing their opinion that this car isn't worth the time or effort to make race ready (not that you couldn't do so and make it somewhat competitive, but right out of the box it needs some heavy work). The fact that parts aren't readily available for it makes it bottom choice for me as well. I went with Associated because their main office is near my house, there's people that work there that I used to race with, and I'm comfortable with their products and I know I can easily fix and maintain them. Just remember this my personal opinion just like it is Ryan's personal opinion after he went through the trouble of putting it through an actual qualifier.
Because your mate doesn't stock parts it's a 'bad' car? In the world of Schumacher Cougars, I was racing a Tamiya Madcap. I knew the limits of the car and I worked within them. The best races I ever had were with plastic cars. Ten seemingly identical Tamiya Dark Impacts raced together and it was the best races I've ever participated in. We need more of these cars, not fewer.
Hmm … good test. Interesting to get a racers view on this. But why would a real racer wanna race this? It’s meant to look like a race buggy but it obviously isn’t. Just like a Tamiya entry-level buggy line like the TT-02B. For me these are cool looking look-a-like-race-buggies for the back yard with tiny jumps or for the parking lot. A difference of +80 or +400 dollars actually matters for some people 🙂 Anyways. Video was good and it was fun to see the reaction of real racers. Would love to see your reaction on a Tamiya TT-02B or a Tamiya DT-03 on the track. That would be of great fun to the whole Tamiya community too I think 😊
I think Ryan felt a little betrayed or intimidated by an inexpensive copy of an X ray. The Wltoys rc was never intended for racers but it could be with all the available hop-up parts out there. Many enjoy accessible inexpensive rtr rc cars for many reasons like bashing in the backyard or speed runs in the front yard. There’s definitely a niche in the market evidenced by many videos on TH-cam and the result are happy smiley people enjoying rc. Introducing more people into the RC world community is the overall effect here. It’s definitely nothing to get yourself all riled up for…
These are meant to get people into the hobby. You can buy replacement parts and upgrade parts for them. Unlike your Walmart or Target vehicles that once they break you throw them away. These definitely have a place in the hobby.
I'm shaking my head at all these comments about how changing a bunch of parts on this inexpensive Chinese RTR will make it perform as good - or better - than a competition-grade RC car. This 104001 is nothing more than a lengthened version of the company's 1/12th scale 124019 4WD buggy, which in turn is a lengthened version of their 1/14th scale 144001 4WD buggy, which in and of itself is nothing more than a blatant knockoff of an LC Racing (another inexpensive Chinese RTR brand) 1/14th scale 4WD buggy. NONE of these cars were ever developed with true competitive racing in mind. They are all cheap backyard or skatepark bashers built to a price-point using inexpensive off-the-shelf bits and components made by several different factories in China. Nothing was developed and engineered to perform together in a competition setting. They are just a collection of cheap bits with a shiny coat of paint and anodizing, meant for kids to beat on until it's broken or it's time for bed. Was it fair to compare this inexpensive RTR to a proper race-prepped RC car? Probably not. But that wasn't the intention here. The message here is if you (or your son/daughter/nephew/niece/etc...) wanted to get into competitive RC Racing, and thinking you can simply "do it on the cheap" using a car like this, you should very seriously reconsider your approach. Lack-luster performance, dubious durability, and a complete lack of local support for parts and/or tuning guidance, means you'll be spending FAR more money in parts to make the thing competitive than you would if you simply bought a supported RTR or kit from one of the respected racing brands. Besides, if it was really possible to build a competitive buggy out of one of these cheap Chinese RTRs, don't you think EVERY racer out there would have made the switch by now? Keep up the awesome work Ryan!
i say you take the time and tune the car like you would your normal race vehicle. shocks servos etc and then give it another go. i mean it is a $120.00 car and i think many people would have a blast with it with some friends at the track messing around. everyone who does anything with RC vehicle would know that there is no way this vehicle will compete with a high dollar race tuned buggy on the track.
@@mojaverc1585 How is it? There are £15 action cameras out there with 4k written on them that only produce 480p video. This dirt cheap buggy was only a second or two off from finely honed racing buggies.
I've been thinking about getting one. I like to buy the cheaper stuff and put it up against the higher end kits. I have done this with mini-truggy getting a Hobao Hyper T and E-Buggy with a Serpent 811. They are cheap and built weak, but with the right setup and upgrades they're still not perfect but are passable, competitive and fun. Good video to show what needs to be upgraded to make it raceable if you will..but having a guy trash the car for being an Associated knockoff while wearing an Associated hat...looks like typical sponsorship lackey garbage. Got a few of those guys at the local track as well. Now I really wanna get one and upgrade it to see what it can really do.
Get ready to see more of these. Im building mine and haven't seen the weak steering issue yours has. Almost right away I threw in a near new HPI 15t. Woke it up quite a bit. The tires suck. Im going to throw a few bucks at it to lighten it up. There are carbon chassis parts available. And its pennies compared to most race units.

Just 5% slower on wrong tyres and rubbish motor, battery and servo. Changing just one of those items will give you the 5%.
Ya i don’t understand the comparison how do u compare a $400 2wd to a rtr $100 backyard beginer car
This is wild. The WL Toys 144001 is what got me into RC
Glad you're here! Not hating on anyone for having one, just hoping you can work into something else that will help you go faster and be supported by your fellow racers and hobbyshops.

He'd get the same times.... And he knows it🤣 how can he call it crap when it has the same geometry as an xb4🤣

A better review would be to hand it to a kid who never used an RC car before and see if he can get it around the track after a few days.
you should do another video with better electronics, tires, and a better set up.

-ran trash batteries
-ran the wrong tyres for the track
-didn't adjust the gearing
-didn't run a good servo.

SPOILER: your TLR is made in China.
Well said, I too expect less of this sort of "tone" from Ryan's videos. This came off as something his sponsors wanted done.
Lego vs Lepin, 50 bucks guitar vs Martin ..lol..
i feel like you accomplished the opposite of what you were trying to achieve with this video lol. seems to me like only being 1 second off from your losi buggys lap times, im SURE you could achieve that 1 second difference with the WL toys car by simply running the same tires as the Losi. and to top it off, if you put some heavier shock oil in the shocks so its not so bouncy, and put in a decent steering servo (most racers have extras laying around or donors from other cars) and i bet you could turn same lap times with something that cost 1/4th the price lol. i guess durability is the only main concern, but if the only issue you ran into was ball cups popping off, again swap them over from a "real" kit.
If you want to race it, go for it! Don't let me stop anyone. If I am going to continue to help folks get into to rc racing, I will not suggest this platform to anyone EVER. It is inferior in every way shape and form.

The basher world is so much bigger than the racing side of rc. I know many newbies look at this as a viable option to try racing.
Also was the ball cup damaged? Could it just snaped back on the car or was it replaced
I'm willing to bet the experience would of been a lot better with some oil in the diffs, some shock adjustment and the right tires.
i agree 100% with you. Your comment broke my heart to be honest. Thinking that there is someone out there who own the same car....
From the basher scene i come from this car is quite liked i dont personally i had 2 wltoys they were just not for me, wiating overseas for parts nah. But someone who never touched rc and has something like this as a gift to get started is wonderful but nah lets trash it. This Car was never designed to race
I just ordered 1 😂 gunna have a blast
@@EXTREMERC416 I watched your video on the wltoys a95a and you can swap the hex to 12mm for 1:10 wheels I own 1 I made it brushless and it’s my favorite wl toys
No offense but you are being very very mean to this product and wl toys is one of the biggest companies that get people into this hobby. I think that you just can not compare this product to your 6000 dollar car. Try and find a better car on the track then this one for the same price. I dare you
I mean if all you want is a car that will break before the main is finished I can point you to some $10 options from Walmart...
You didn't even give the car a fair chance no track tiers no upgrade radio and the car did ok just have set it up right
😂just ordered 1
Test a VRX/FTX/Team Integy car next on the track
Lee made the most important point. IF you are going to race RCs and it's not your first contact with the hobby, there are way better options. If it it's first contact, that thing is just as good as any other chinese RTR or maybe even one of the best in it's tier of RTR cars.
I agree, at less than 25% the cost of your regular ride, Not including radio and electronics........this video is a waste of everyone’s time😂
Btw, most of your equipment is Chinese.....RC or not😎
Snobby Kids😱
It's an lc racing clone
@@Aro800 you're right. Nevertheless, XB4 parts, according to some other videos, can be used as direct replacements. That's the only reason for my claim.
yup would have been interesting with the suited tires and not the box ones
There are upgrades parts for it so I guess you didn’t saying thing about that did you,
Would be interested to see a racers perspective on other budget hobby grade cars around a track.
They are fun, cheap, cars that you can cut up or thrash without any guilt.
next video idea: minimal upgrades to make it a good starter for a kid
I do not want to put anyone at risk of being unsupported as a new racer. Encouraging someone to buy a $140 car with $300 of upgrades sounds enticing to some. The reality is they will spend 4 times that amount in tires and entry fees over the course of a year of racing (if the vehicle somehow survives that long). I want people to get into racing more than anyone! This vehicle is a cheap bait and switch that will drive people out over time.
I would be very interested to see you run a lap with this with a decent radio setup, and proper tires.
I love when a racer compares a low end RTR to their race prepped $1000+ car and call it trash. Makes me want to get one and try it out with a few upgrades(servo, tires, and diff fluid).
Dont forget the esc and motor. It has a 5 wire servo, so you cant just replace it with a normal servo.
Thank you for Part 2~!
You need to do more videos like this, + you could try:
Putting posh electronics in it, so then you are only comparing the car itself
Perhaps rebuild it with diff oil / correct tyres / shock oil.
@NOTREALLY HANKAARON Wtf am I lying about lmao
I play with it in my backyard and let my little cousin play with it. If I have to pay $300 more for a “better driving experience” in my back yard then I’m good. They are easy to find for $80 by the way. However if I’m going serious in the hobby then yeah I get it. This is stupid. But this was meant for my little cousin. So chill
I'd be really interested to see how much faster you could make this go, with a better steering servo, tyres and prepping the car to race... Plus some RPM ballcups. We used to run 14th scale versions of these and RPM ballcups, tyres and a lipo made these very durable and competitive
The fact that there are no parts available make is instantly not worth putting any time or money into it.
@@wallydavid there are. It’s actually a 1:1 copy of X-ray xb4. So you could add those parts. If it’s worth it? No!
He won't do that because then it might be better then his 😂
I just talked a friend out of one of these. So glad I did.
That car is a legend😂. "Hey, it's my first time on this track!" Sureee Ryan, haha. Also, it'd be interesting and possibly entertaining to put a high end setup in a cheapo like that, or vice-versa
Clarification: it was a new layout and my first session on it lol But yes I have been here many times!
@@RyanHarrisRC It made sense! Thanks again for the extra shirt, still repping #roost all the time🤟
I keep seeing these on Reddit & thought they'd be trash...thx for confirming!
it actually jumps and lands kinda well lol
I will explain this in a future video, but it jumps and lands TERRIBLY lol
@@RyanHarrisRC oh lol
To be fair it is a great car for the money
If someone likes it and enjoys it, sure! But my follow-up video is going to explain why I would never suggest this for any reason.
Budget losi (tamiya, ae, et al) class - yes please. Not some random chinese manufacturer that won't support vehicle in years to come.
Dang.....never seen Ryan so Angry! Am I missing something lol?
I have a 124019, my kids and I love bashing it in the front yard.
This is like calling a £50 action camera the worst in the world because it's only half as good as the latest Gopro costing 6x as much.
Its still the worst performing though
For one it’s not the worst rc car you just running it just like it is, do a before and after upgrade on before you talk about it
Get ready to see more of these.
This is the first ever video of these on TH-cam that doesn't shill for banggood with referral codes. Top work.
a few seconds off his fastest lap times and it has brushed electronics! I will say he is a hell of a driver
