- I covered this topic last year on the Brushed 104001, so before i run this new Brushless Model any further i was curious to see if WLToys started greasing the diffs properly on these new models or are they set in their old habits?

Very good overview for greasing the Diffs! Cheers to you for all the info you give!!
Thanks Brad, cheers for watching brother 🍻
this was exactly what i was looking for, thank you so much mate!
You're more than welcome Colin, cheers for watching mate! Have a good one 🍻👍
Well they some in there, but not sure if their “some” is enough!😆 thanks Dave for cracking it open!✌🏻
Definitely not enough for my liking 😆 Cheers for watching Robby 👍
I had to do mines as well. It had very little to none at all. Great video 👍🙏👍🙏👍🙏
Thanks Ray, yep it's definitely a must to grease them yourself if you want them to last
Do you know what other shocks would fit? I’d like some upgrades shocks for this car
Good info as always Dave. I don't know why they can't figure out how to add more grease at the factory because it isn't like grease is very expensive.
Yeah it's pretty easy for them to add more while they are manufacturing these rc's but I guess it's all about time is money so they pump em out as quick as they possibly can, thanks for watching as always Ryan 👍
Great information Dave. It always seems they are purposely neglecting the grease. Probably to make money off the spare parts.
Thanks Dan, yep I think that's part of the reason they do this as well.
Do you know if there are any better diffs available? I have the 104001 model and want to speed run it but I’m told they aren’t strong.
If there is a upgrade could you give a link pls.
Great tips
Thanks for watching 👍
shims also are needed.
Thx for a movie. Good job, I want to buy one 104002, but unfortunately it has a delay? Did You solve this problem or do Ypu know how to fix it in cheap way? Thx for a help!
I think the delay is now fixed with new transmitter so you should not have that issue.
Great video I recently got one and have it to do road and dirt racing with my friend!!! I don’t want to pay more money and sabotage myself so I was wondering if you know what grease you are using? Thanks man I will use this video later!Great Job!
Hi mate, thanks for watching, the grease I use in all my RC cars or trucks is high temp bearing grease, never had any issues with blown diffs so far using it👍
I use white lithium grease for my 019 and will on the 104001 never had any issues with that . I won’t be using oils for the diffs though
Nice video friend. I am a newby to this hobby. Please correct or confirm. The wheels feel loose if there is not enough grease, don’t they?
Yes thats right if the wheels spin freely its more than likely there is not much grease in there in the diffs. thanks for watching👍
Ok. Thanks.
Perfect
Thanks for watching 👍
Are the material for crown diffs and bevel better than the previous brushed version?
They look exactly the same to me, thanks for watching Gordon
@@PERTHWESTOZRC Thanks man.. great video
I don't understand why they are still not greasing there diffs.
Cost cutting and to save time on the assembly line i guess
@@PERTHWESTOZRC Maybe they want to sell replacement diffs to add to their profits? 😞
@@stephenksiazek812 yep that would be part of the reason too I think
What grease u use
High temp bearing grease
Is it necessary to fully disassemble the differential and remove what previous grease is there before adding your own? Let’s just say I would make a horrible surgeon 😂
That’s entirely up to you, I just like to wipe the old grease off and add my own, thanks for watching
@@PERTHWESTOZRC Thank you!
Top
Thanks for watching 👍
lol so wltoys diffs have Vaseline in them and zd racing diffs have ear wax in them, well ill give them a point for trying
Lol pretty much 😆 Cheers for watching David
OMG. ..WLTOYS seems to never learn! 😕
At least on this model it's a fairly easy procedure.
Yeah exactly, cheers for watching Stephen 👍
