  • Jason Wishnow, filmmaker and victim of circumstance, talks about some of his life experiences.
    Jason Wishnow is the filmmaker behind TED Talks, the Peabody Award winning video series watched over one billion times (even in outer space). Wishnow works at the intersection of film and emerging technologies and has been called “no stranger to difficult shoots” (Wired UK, 2014), an “online-video virtuoso” (New York Times, 2009), the “enfant terrible of digital film” (The Guardian, 2000), and one of the ten most influential digital filmmakers of 1999 (RES Magazine). In the Spring of 2016, a candid photograph of Wishnow riding the New York subway went viral. In this Talk, Wishnow shares that story (along with some of the secrets of TED Talks, including the origin of the big, round, red TED rug).
    This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

    Ignore the rude comments. A little bit of fun never did anyone anything wrong. Thanks for your work, insight, and the funny stories. If anything this comment section proves just how ridiculously harsh, entitled, and misunderstanding (among other things) people on the internet can be for no good reason.
    Honestly baffled. You did nothing wrong lmao.

      I apologize for instigating some of this. But it was to make a point that these people are all too easily swayed and lacking in the ability to think critically, or see through an extremely simple ruse.

      Normal is boring, unoriginal, lacking in creativity and most often a deterrent to critical thinking. Normal more often than not is what stops people from thinking outside the box and inventing new things for the betterment of us all. Now, I am not saying everyone should be original and invent new things, but to disparage those who do is pure ignorance.

      Many videos on here that interview girls who say that they get the creep vibe from guys they aren't attracted to. Why do you think a lot of guys now don't bother? Because even asking a simple question can label you something potentially dangerous.

    • @folatooreal8582
      @folatooreal8582 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree it’s harder these days as an wcrage loking guy to get attraction from a woman off the first approach. It requires more skill and charm if you will. Just the way it is, the word is changing we have to too

    • @alphaevolution
      @alphaevolution 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@folatooreal8582Exactly man, dressing sharp helps a lot too. I don't have any problems with it, it's just the way the world is. I can get my fair share if I wanted but I have more satisfaction in doing my own things that benefit me. And that's the message all men should hear.

    • @aylbdrmadison1051
      @aylbdrmadison1051 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes it is true that many women look right a guys shoes as they enter a room. But it's not only the gold diggers sizing him up and wondering if he is wealthy, it does say something abiout a man if he takes good care of his feet. They are literally our bodies foundation. But regardless, saying "women are this" or "women are that" is bigotry, but I am not saying this is your intent, just pointing it out. Most "people" are self serving. Men and women. This is why most men are checking out tits and asses, or how pretty etc first thing. There really is no difference.
      Fall into that trap of assumption about an entire gender if you wish, but it is mostly to your own detriment when you do. It certainly won't get you any dates, nor will it make you more attractive to women. But it will definitely make sustaining a relationship worlds harder. Your choice.
