Nice. ABS module has gone out on my 2014 JK and it is a lot easier to get to but there is some kind of engineering hold on my part and won't be avoidable until March 2024 at the earliest. Did you run into this issue as well?
Great video. I followed step by step. I ordered the Bluetooth connector from your Amazon link and I finally have cruise control and trailer brakes working again.
Yes, but you won’t have abs braking. Just the regular old breaking. So tires can lock up if you hit the brakes hard enough. You’ll be sliding and possibly flat spotting your tires. Guess how I know this.
He doesn’t mention it in the video bubba but after u cycle the ignition u have to run the clearing rolls portion of the program…did u run that after cycling the ignition.
I replaced mine easily enough with help from this video, however the problem came back in 2 days. It's intermittent now, and someone elsewhere mentioned they had this issue due to a frayed wire along the frame somewhere. Has anyone found where it tends to fray?
I had this problem. It was at the dealer for weeks. Finally they found a fault in the wire from the module to the plug connector behind the driverside front left tire. They bypassed the wire with a new one. Worked great for a week and the problem returned. There is a SB in the STARS system for this issue showing the same wire getting frayed along the bedrail above the fuel tank. It give instructions to replace the wire bundle. My dealer didn't do that, rather charged me to just install an external wire. I'm probably going to send my control module back to the rebuild shop now and my thinking is that wire messed it up somehow. If that doesn't work, I'll likely be looking to get rid of the truck, sadly.
@@brentgilley5166 did you ever get the issue fixed and if it was related to that frayed wire is that something I would be able to visually see or would the gas tank need to be dropped?

I have been assured by knowledgeable mechanics that they are plug 'n' play to an extent, and I have even seen a video on TH-cam showing a gentleman who put a used on on his truck and initialized it with a mid-level scanner.
Where did you connect the iPad to?
My ABS Module on my 2014 RAM 1500 just went out. Where did you get the part?
I’m having this issue on my 2012 Ram 1500. If I replace the sensor part. Would I need to reprogram anything or can I just clear the code with my scanner?
Super sweet content brother. I'm loving the diy style content. 🎉
More to come!
I really appreciate you video can you explain from parking sensors??? Mine is bad
i have a 2018 ram 3500 with same issues, hope this will work. Thanks for sharing.
I just had it done on my truck. Crazy
What did you use to clean the abs module
Hello! I was wondering where did you purchase the part from? I have a 2015 Ram 1500 and my code is C2200-49. And is the part expensive?
Did you find & fix it?
You won’t get it at the dealer. It’s being reengineered and it will be months before it’s available. Dealer told me $1200.00 plus for the electronic module. Have to get it used from an auto recycling place.
Iv been driving mine for like 2 years like this lol
3 months, module fails half the time.
Great content as always. You made it look so easy.
My crown vic had this issue. I tried 2 used ones an no go. I had to buy a new one. 550$. I put it on, ford had to call some big wig to get the program.
thanks for the removal part. I just removed mine and having it sent off to be repaired.
What's the part #
Where did you send it? I need to fix mine.
Xemodex ??
Can you provide more information on where you sent for repairs?
You don't have to match it with vin?
My 2013 has this issue but with c2200-45. I ordered the new part, took it to the dealership and their programming failed.. sent off my old module to upfix and they were unable to do the repair
Did your speedometer ever go off & on
Mine did after I drove around with this issue for a few months… I finally got off my bit and fixed it… easiest swap ever, didn’t even have to take off the tires… get the top two screws from the top and the bottom two screws from underneath on your back. Took me about 10 minutes. Going to have it reflashed tomorrow at Firestone to clear the codes.
What tablet was that?
I have a ram 1500 2015 with the same issue. Do you know if i can use the ABS module from another ram 1500, but 2017? both are 5.7 hemi
You’ll want to use the exact same part number on the module. Might be some crossover years but part # is most important
Hey buddy been watching for awhile love the content. I have a 2015 ram 1500 same lights on dash but also the same time the lights came on when I came to a stop the shifter knob stuck in park , truck will not start all this happened with in 3 minutes any thoughts would appreciate 👍
same thing happen to me. Means no communication from ABS Module.
Been at the dealer for 3.5 months, still no part.Internal ABS module failure.
ABS sends signal to BTSI (break transmission interlock) so you can shift. No signal, stuck in Park.
Thinking about sending my abs module out, since dealer told me there is no ETA on that part. CRAZYY.
Besides, anyone from the dealer to Ramcare...they dont give a shit.
Today I was told this part is under engineer review, which I think means, they know it will fail again.
I’ve seen a used part off eBay and as well remanufactured. Debating in which one to get.
My man!!! I was wondering if I had to take out the whole thing! I have a 13 ram and I had to order this part from eBay cause all my local dodge dealers didn’t had this part also 3 dealerships told me the same thing. Also, the manufacture they used stopped making them. Too bad I have all apple devices atm. Cannot get the alpha.obd software
I do not understand how to run the alphaobd program or get it to download. I have a Foxwell scanner. Please help me understand how to download the alphaobd program. thank you
Nice. ABS module has gone out on my 2014 JK and it is a lot easier to get to but there is some kind of engineering hold on my part and won't be avoidable until March 2024 at the earliest. Did you run into this issue as well?
And now it is April 17th. Am I right?
Are you using your phone. And what conection
Great video. I followed step by step. I ordered the Bluetooth connector from your Amazon link and I finally have cruise control and trailer brakes working again.
What type truck do yo have?
What was the part #
Another great video, thanks!
Thanks again!
That affects to the Awd system or not??
Yes, traction control is disabled until repaired.
Will truck still drive with the abs module out?
Yes, but you won’t have abs braking. Just the regular old breaking. So tires can lock up if you hit the brakes hard enough. You’ll be sliding and possibly flat spotting your tires. Guess how I know this.
Is the Alfa OBD app for android only?
Genius as usual!
Thank you! Cheers!
My local mechanic wanted to charge me 1500 for this service. I can totally handle this myself. Part is 170 bucks
Where did you get the part. My Ram dealer said they couldn’t order the electronic module until at least April & it’s $1200 plus.
I didnt see you do the drive test. I get fsild on g sensors and clearing rolls info. What now
He doesn’t mention it in the video bubba but after u cycle the ignition u have to run the clearing rolls portion of the program…did u run that after cycling the ignition.
Thanks!
I have the C200-49 code, but I also have code C0020-01. Does anyone know if replacing just the module will clear both of these codes?
It doesn’t let me download the app through Amazon is it in the App Store?
😂😂
Thanks for the video
Anyone else not able to download the Alfa OBD program ???
I can not get the wiring harnesses to come off
My truck won’t even start same symptoms though
Having this issue right now took my truck to a repair shop they want $2,800
Yeah 4th gen content
Promo*SM 😔
