    I have the same year and color
    2500 megacab limited
    I have no issues but thank you for the heads up, but May I suggest that you put some dielectric grease on connector prior to reconnecting

    I am on the second ABS module. First one was covered under warrantee but this one is not. 2018 Power Wagon with less than 20k miles.

      Sounds about right. If they didn't change the hcu that might be your main issue

    I have a similar problem. I can sometimes make the abs light come on and off by running over the pavement reflectors on the highway. Seems like it is affected mostly by running over a bump with the right side of the truck (2017 ram 2500 4wd). It is finicky.. sometimes light wont come on for a while and sometimes wont go off ..

      @@GarageVlogBob I’m pretty sure it’s the abs module malfunctioning. I’ve heard that there are problems around that model year. Hard to find a new one since they are on back order.

      I have replaced my module 3 times total. Original/ first/ second. It was never the module. Mine was harness issues only. I struggled so much will the harness checking out OK that I was convinced it was the module. It was not

    • @chrisgrose1878
      @chrisgrose1878 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GarageVlogBob were you able to fix it? I’ve taken apart the harness from the module and looked all around for some kind of problem but, nothing visible.

    • @GarageVlogBob
      @GarageVlogBob  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      My issue was inside the plug to the module. There was a loose connector. Once I found that and tightened it up my issues where gone

    I have abs traction and brake light on my 2014 bighorn
    I was thinking speed sensor?
    But maybe i should try pushing in the module and see if it goes away for a sec?

    • @GarageVlogBob
      @GarageVlogBob  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should either find someone who has the abilities to read the code or pay the $50 to own the app and read the code yourself. There is no point in guessing what is wrong

    I had this same light, ended up being a wire pulled out, possibly during a previous turbo repair, where the passenger front wheel sensor plugs into the main wiring harness at the PS front shock mount. pushed the wire back in, problem solved.

    Would your truck go into 4wheel drive while the light was on ?

    • @GarageVlogBob
      @GarageVlogBob  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With that issue I found if I needed to use 4x4 I would make the switch before I would turn the key on. Once turning the key on it would switch to the selected 4x4 position and stay I would have to do the same thing to put it back in 4x2

      I knew I had issues with the Passanger side so I hooked my meter to one end of those wires went to the plug and found the ones needed. Tightened the connectors problem fixed on that issue

    How did you know what pin (wire) it was. Pin 4 related to right front speed sensor? Thank you for the video.

    • @GarageVlogBob
      @GarageVlogBob  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I connected a wire to the vehicle side wheel speed sensor then tested connections with a multimeter. When I discovered where was no broken wire to the sensor I was having issues with a began to look at connection issues. That's when I found the bad connection truck side at the main hcu module. Hope that helps

      Look until alfaobd get the app and the needed blue tooth adaptor that program will come in handy and you will find some nice features

    • @rickgifford42
      @rickgifford42 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would suspect less ABS control modules would be replaced if dealers took the time you did to diagnose the real problem.

      I have a OBDLink MX bluetooth reader and used their app. I have AlfaOBD, would it be better to use that app to scan for codes?

      @GarageVlogBob I'm not sure the code off hand but hitting bumps seam to make it do it so I believe it's a loose wire

      It seems pretty obvious. Over top of the coil spring on the drivers side. He already had the inner liner taken out, he mentioned it in the video that he had to reinstall it.
