After surviving a negative relationship with a narcissist for 19 years, I know deep in my heart and soul I'm ready to leave and move on. I finally realize that I love myself too much to keep allowing someone to verbally abuse me on a daily basis. I just want peace of mind for my well being as a person. I'm not the horrible names he calls me every single day. God will guide me from now on

Best Motivation. I own 2 laundromats in low income areas. I work about 25 hours a week and gross about 240K a year. whilst working with an advisor like Julianne Iwersen Niemann. I used to work in Sears repairs,, so I saved money by fixing my own machines. Believe it or not, the soap detergent vending machines bring in a good amount as well. Trust me starting and maintaining a profitable business starts with properly managing your finance. Stay Motivated!

Laundromats are easy to operate...I know this lady you mentioned. I bought a laundromat from a friend many years ago who retired overseas. Repairs are costly. Try to at least learn the basics. I have bill acceptor machines to exchange for tokens, much better than counting and hauling quarters . My locations are near low income housing and apartments, which are very good for business.

    My thoughts:
    • Standing alone is easier than standing with the wrong people
    • Being logistically close to someone, does not mean you're not standing alone
    • Standing alone at the right time builds strength, resolve, and may attract the people you need

    • @TheDionysianFields
      @TheDionysianFields ปีที่แล้ว +7

I think you mean standing alone is BETTER than standing with the wrong people. But it's also less extrinsically rewarding in my experience.
The idea that it will "attract the people you need" seems like a slight bit of wishful thinking.

However much we find ourselves in a circumstance of being part of a cozy, all-trusting group, a cosmic mind as some people call it, as we grow older we will find invariably that there are reasons that make us different in some way or the other, from those that are our innermost circle. These could be lifestyle choices, a greater preference for solitude and reflection, or, the saddest of them all, a health issue that makes us less and less a desirable person to have close, or that even family find tiresome, irritating, or a sheer nuisance. If these don't form the state of being alone, then the most inevitable of all truths - death - does it in the bluntest way possible.

For most of my life, I had believed that my worth and value was based on what others thought of me. I have finally learned to have faith in myself, and although I have always been single and have lived alone, I am no longer lonely and am happy to let go of all else, to trust myself and my own feelings.
This is a lovely talk. Thank you. Yes, going through the wilderness, the fears and tears that brought me here, has been my healing. Best wishes to all! 🙂

God definitely heard every word because I woke the following day and my head kept automatically turning to face a Bible lying on the bedroom floor. In irritation at having to get up I picked up the Bible, held the spine on my palm and let it fall open. I found myself staring at Isiah 45.9.....“Woe to those who quarrel with their Maker, those who are nothing but potsherds among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the potter, ‘What are you making?’ Does your work say, ‘The potter has no hands’? I felt underestimated and misunderstood, like she didn't see all my devotion to the work. But I'm not going to let it get to me. I also saw a video from Abraham Hicks before this one that said, just be who you are and change for nobody. Then when people try to get you to be someone different (so they can feel better), just step back and watch the show. In other words, allow them to have their opinion but don't engage with it. I love these two ladies so much. 🥰🙏

I've never experienced a truly loving, reciprocal romantic relationship. I do have my parents and friendships... but 'my crew'? Someone who voluntarily has my back? This is something I've never really experienced. So for some of us, we have the blessing of having to find a sense of belonging that isn't dependant on a spouse or our children. We have to dig so frickin deep... to find a sense of belonging that is cosmic. Because we really have no choice. I would love to find my person... but I'm 46 and it just doesn't seem to be my destiny in this lifetime. Try being vulnerable in the face of repeated rejection, whenever you allowed yourself to be vulnerable in the past. I do still have the courage, amazingly, to keep showing up however, and speaking my truth. In the meantime, anchoring into self love and a connection with spirit is what is sustaining me.

Belonging to oneself is indeed crucial for a healthy and fulfilling life. When we prioritize our self-worth over external validation and societal expectations, we can truly embrace our authentic selves and live a life that aligns with our values and goals. However, it is also important to acknowledge that humans are social creatures and need a sense of belonging and connection with others. Striking a balance between individuality and social connection is key. We can belong to ourselves while forming meaningful relationships and communities supporting and empowering us.

and some of us have been truly blessed to be coming from the wilderness. We resisted that pier pressure & urge to 'fit in & comply'. We listened to what was feeding our soul by being comfortably to sit alone and absorb nature's energy. To many we looked like the outsider as we stayed 'isolated' from conforming to what is their normal. When Covid hit and everyone panicked because they didn't know how to sit with themselves, we didn't miss a beat and embraced the qualities and lifestyles that are our normal. It is more than okay to be different, be independent from those that are sadly crippled to feel ralled into a corporate way to be accepted. We have battled it from the opposite direction and as you grow through the seasons of life, you enter the final one of being carried and cared for because you honored that time of being content by yourself ❤

Thank you for this! Wasn't looking for it - it popped up while watching something else. God brought it my way to help me process someone close to me recently asking me to talk less about God. Mind you, it's not ever telling other people if I think they should do this or that. When I talk about God, it's on my own behalf, and what He's doing in MY life! And yet this family member is offended and wants me to leave God out of my stories/situations, etc when talking with them. This video was such a blessed reminder to remain me. In my case, it's not FOR me, it's for God. That said, God uses keeping me who I am, as a way to not have me snuffed out. I do it for Him, and He loves me, and holds me up when others would shut me down. It is beautiful. It IS scary to stand alone! But thank you for reminding me that it's brave. And what I have to remember is that really I am never alone, as God my Father is always with me. This video was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you 🙂

You taught me that Brene and I must admit I do have a generous assumption of people however people have broken that over and over again with me and I find it hard to accept and have been treated like a doormat several times because of asserting myself and then having others gaslight me and push me to a point where I then have acted in a way that is not living up to my morals and values or in my integrity and then I have to find forgiveness for myself all over again. This makes a great deal of sense! It is amazing how far people will go to make you "not" belong to yourself for a good laugh, power, etc. but you must remember "I am the wilderness" and you can not have my part unless I choose to share it with you. People that are false, lie, cheat, etc. are the one's that drive me to anger because I have worked so hard to be the opposite of that. However, it is not MY choice what other's should strive to be. If they want to be that, then I should be quiet and not argue it. Assuming positive intent keeps you in line even when it is not, that is the beauty of it.

The tone, diction, and cadence with which she speaks, for me, is so comforting, if not mesmerizing. It's so disarming and nonathoratative that it allows the content of her message to be received and processed in such a productive way. It comes across as unscripted and completely genuine; not as her 'teaching', but rather as 'sharing'.
