    Just bought a 2015 ED project from one of my old Army buddies😅Has crank but no start. The Stealership said needed new engine. Got it home after 4 hr tow. No shavings in the oil filter or oil pan. Getting codes P2D2D,P200A, P0299,P0336, U0100. Hoping I didn’t get myself into too much trouble…

    do you think its a good idea to use the oil spec for the gen 3 on the gen 2 eco diesel? or keep using T6 oil?

    So what all is done during machining ? Do you have a shop that does it ? Line bore ? Honing ? What all is it ?

    • @Recklessmotorsports
      @Recklessmotorsports  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes the machine shop does all the work needed for a rebuild

    Have you pulled the lower oil pan on a jeep variant?
    Other thing to mention is the maientance specifically the oil cooler should be replaced like every 75k.
    Trans fluid is not lifetime, always did it with bmw ZF trans

    Curious on your thoughts about an oil catch can? I've read they're superfluous due to the centrifugal air/oil separator, but we know how things can change generationally and I'm not sure if it was a consideration on the earlier models.

      I recommend them on every vehicle, personally I recommend an exhaust Venturi over a catch can

    Hello, how are you? I have an ecodiesel 3.0 /1500 year 2020. I have a friend who helped him improve his truck with exhausts and tuners. Can you help me?

    Sir, I am in that exact same Facebook group and I totally understand. I’ve been trying to get information. I’m not very familiar with the car or truck scene or any kind of mechanical aspects but I have a 2016 Eco and it’s been nothing but great to me and I am right at 180,000 miles and I’m really looking to delete and tune the engine and transmission so I need help.

    What oil change intervals do you recommend??

    • @Recklessmotorsports
      @Recklessmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      7k or less

    • @ranger_dudeoff-roadadventu1903
      @ranger_dudeoff-roadadventu1903 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So 10k is too much?

    • @Recklessmotorsports
      @Recklessmotorsports  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Less is better regardless, but the better quality the oil the longer interval technically.

      @@Recklessmotorsports What about a secondary or bypass oil filter? Would that help? Would doing an EGR delete help to prolong that change interval?

    Engineer some brackets to run the injection pump by belt would be handy.
