So I’m running your tune and delete kit in my 15 I had posted on an ecodiesel facebook group and everyone threw me a bunch of shade for running your product but I’ve had no issue’s and see a lot of issues with what they claim is better, just wanted to say thanks for the great tunes!
I have a 2018 Ram Ecodiesel that engine died at 108 000 km. Put a new one in and I'm dumping it before the 3 year 160 000 km Mopar warranty is up. The mechanic who dropped in the new engine has done a lot of them and said it's a complete gamble, some last and some don't. My maintenance was impeccable. I would never advise anyone to buy a vehicle with an Ecodiesel. Gen 2 anyways...
I have a gen 3 2022 wrangler ecodiesel. do you recommend hotshot diesel fuel treatment or any other preventative maintenance? I love the engine so far and want to keep it as long as i can. Thanks in advance for any advice. And is my crank at risk?
I am trying to rebuild an ecodiesel right now. I have 3 engines that all failed that im trying to cobble together. I have 1 good crank with matching con rods and matching block. It failed due to the camshaft problem. The other two were mains. But the block i want to use is missing an oil port under the pump? The other 2 blocks have it. Why is this?
Hi, I'm rebuilding my 2016 Ecodiesel and having a heck of a time to find new connecting rod bolts. Do you have some available or can you tell me where I can find some. Thanks
Can you make a video that goes deeper into the issues with the crankshaft, And what the differences are with the Custom Crank you have made for these engines.
If its a crank issue, wouldn't be better to run a chromemoly cranks and have the bearings and the main journals coated with antifriction coating? Will be more $$$$ for the crank but longevity and reliability should be lifetime.
I have a 22 model, 3500 miles. Yes i know i don't drive it. Not because of the known issues but i have a different vehicle I daily. But it scares me. Dealer tried to tell ne these teucks have a 10k mi oil change interval. I told them f that and to change it at 3400. I had planned on doing 5k intervals but now that i know the issues I'll be doing 3k. And praying lol. Been a good truck, plenty of power for me, does what I need it to do. Judy hope it lasts till I get rid of it
I have a 2014 ram 1500 echo diesel and I am getting service electric throttle control and a under boost message were would you start looking for the under boost problems? Were are you located thanks Glen
What do you guys do when you line bore the block for the oil pump? As it is gear to gear. I am in the process of a rebuild but do not know qhat to tell the machine shop.
So I have a question for you. I have a 2022 rebel of course with the eco-diesel with 30,000 miles on it and I live in Florida and I’m fixing to do an oil change and considering using T6 15-40 Rotella motor oil because of how hot it gets here in Florida. Is this a good idea or a bad idea?
Hey I just bought a 2014 Jeep GC summit with the diesel 3.0L 86k miles and warranty till 124k miles. Anything I can do to make it last or recommendations. No oil leaks runs great just worried now lol.
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 with a Eco Diesel, 120K+ miles that I purchased new. I've had no issues yet. I'm not sure if mine is consider a 1st Gen. Change oil every 5K after the first couple yrs and also went to 5W-40 Rotella T6 per the dealer several yrs ago. Do you feel that my engine is at rick? And where are you located at?
The one that's getting replaced had almost 160k ran fine and boom lost oil pressure on the way to work. Changed my oil every 6k with 5w-40 Rotella. My truck does get a lot of idle time tho with being up in Michigan with half the yr being winter. Also having a kid. I don't want her to freeze ya know.
I bought a 2018 with 80k on it. Original engine slung rod, dealership put a new crate engine in it. Does the new crate engine come with any of the issues fixed or will it have the same flaws?
Would you please advise the aftermarket crankshaft & bearings to purchase? I have the 2017 Grand Cherokee Ecodiesel with the same problem just shown up, out of warranty of course. The dealer only suggest to look for second hand motor to swap 'cause new one is economically ridiculous, like 14K Euros, nothing to say of labour & minor expenses. We do have good machine & auto workshops here in Poland but no one heard that there are good aftermarket cranks & bearings. So I would rather order it from the US than try a questionable luck with second hand engine with unknown milage, service history & etc.I'd highly appreciate your advise 🙏

Welcome, I recommend leaving everything ecodiesel my competitor sponsors the guy that runs it
Nice truck on the lift! 😅 good work man can't wait for it to be back
How did the truck turn out?? Is it still on the road??
just bought a 2016 with 115k miles. Is there anything i can do to prevent this or prolong it?
I had an eco with 187k had some issues with it and decided to get rid of it before it was too late
do you sell the upgraded cranks?

Gen 3 don't have the crank issue, and others with the Gen 2 (prior to 2019).
I have grand cherokee 2019 3.0 crd how do i know what gen is the motor ? Is still the one with problems or not ? Thanks
Nice work dude.
Is it a good idea to replace the crank with a better one before it fails and will it avoid the crank issue ??
I would get the motor rebuilt before it fails
What year model Ram ecodiesel would you recommend to help avoid most of the issues seen here in this video?
3rd gen came out in 2020

Can you make a complete step by step video on how to replace the head gasket on a ram ecodiesel?
22 JT 9k miles. Any issues with the oil separator? Mines seeping enough oil into the lines to coat my map sensor.

Cranks visually aren’t any different, and the issues with the crank is that it flexes which there isn’t a way to show that.
If its a crank issue, wouldn't be better to run a chromemoly cranks and have the bearings and the main journals coated with antifriction coating? Will be more $$$$ for the crank but longevity and reliability should be lifetime.
@Gene4666 we have aftermarket cranks we rebuild the engine with, matched with better bearings.
@@Recklessmotorsports will they hold up if there will be a turbo upgrade in the in future?
is the aftermarket crank a different material spec ?

Is there a oil additive that will help with the lubrication? Thank Rich

I think your right early LT1 GM engines had similar issues with tolerances etc and oil types.
Why Ecodiesels fails so quickly? Terrible engines some folks say..
Is there any years to avoid?
14-18 lol
I never heard you say anything about the reason for the crankshaft failing???
The crank itself is bad, they flex and overtime crack and also tear up bearings
@@Recklessmotorsports okay.. I see thank you
@@RecklessmotorsportsI’m very interested in the custom crankshaft, can you elaborate more?
How to do backfire camaro hp tuners
We have videos on that
I have a 2020 is it upated
If it’s a 2020 truck yes
Thanks it's our first diesel so far 70000 all good
Those main bearings are way too small for over 400lb/ft of torque. That's a poorly engineered engine.
Junk engineering big time!
