Running Green Diesel tune. No issues. Supposedly that turns the EGR down to a low pressure mode without actually disabling it. Don't know. I have not had any issues. You can do things without losing your warranty, but they'll explain better. Just to put things into perspective, my ram ecodiesel had a leaky EGR at 65k klms. I had EOC fix the problem, and I sold it at 187k absolutely problem free.... You're looking about 3500 for full setup. But make sure you mention the channel it might help... It might not... Really interesting video. This is not the first video I have found discussing the concern of sludge build up on this engine. I, like you want to keep my truck long term. I have a 2022 Ram EcoDiesel. From the US. Does EcoDiesel Canada work on US vehicles?
I think all vehicles lose. I bought the rig for 64 cad. And put another 20 into it. I could probably get around 60 for it now. But I didn't get it to sell that would be very stupid. Tacomas hold their value a bit more but they just aren't as capable off road. Which is what I do. So I'd be losing right off the lot 😂
@UnwindingRoads these engines do run on the hotter side. I'm seeing close to 1200 driving in the mountains of West Virginia. I believe our egt sensor #1 is in the manifold so still safe at that temp. Love getting 26 mpg on 37's
@@brian3.2 Hahaha 26 mpg on 37s. How many people don't believe you? I regularly have people call bs when I tell them. They have to be with me to witness it to see. On a recent trip I got better mpg towing my trailer than a 4xe. Both of us were on 38s. The 4xe is still faster though.

So you bought a brand new jeep and before 24hrs passed you completely took a shit on your warranty. So anything goes wrong with your with your transmission or engine they can say FU
Yes exactly. I don't recommend doing what I did for people that are nervous about these sorts of things. I'm a different situation than most. If this motor blows even with the mods I'll do a v8 swap or duramax. I do however highly recommend shutting off the EGR. If you do a ton of hwy driving only and very little idling you'll probably be ok. Also if you're testing your oil you'll know. You definitely seem like you know what you're talking about. Oem is never the best because of all the restrictions put on them.
I love my jeep. I’m just starting my TH-cam channel. It’s gonna be called dirt digger. I’m starting it soon.
Heck ya! I'll check it out!
@@UnwindingRoads it’ll be a while, but it would be much appreciated
Did you regear? I missed that in the video if you did
I did! Happened right away. Same time as lockers. 4.56 gears. With 38s I think I should have gone 4.88 but can't confirm yet. A friend of mine is getting his done this week so I'll see
How $$$ to do what you had done - including the exhaust pipe? $3K - $5K - $10K? Before we flood his phone/email with questions it would be nice to have an idea of the cost, because the trade off is you will be losing your manufacturer 10 year powertrain warranty.
I don't know lol
Really interesting video. This is not the first video I have found discussing the concern of sludge build up on this engine. I, like you want to keep my truck long term. I have a 2022 Ram EcoDiesel. From the US. Does EcoDiesel Canada work on US vehicles?
@@rudyk5524 yes they do. Probably the most popular guys doing this there as well!
I was wondering How much have you lost in depreciation on your vehicle?
I think all vehicles lose. I bought the rig for 64 cad. And put another 20 into it. I could probably get around 60 for it now. But I didn't get it to sell that would be very stupid. Tacomas hold their value a bit more but they just aren't as capable off road. Which is what I do. So I'd be losing right off the lot 😂
How does your EGT look after tuning?
@@brian3.2 with the 37s they stayed low. Now that I have 38s I'm regularly around 1000f
How much (roughly) is it to have it done with EOC?
Very rough estimate is about 3k Canadian...
Hey man I’m 22 with a 2020 ecoDiesel wrangler and it my 3rd year with it and I’m really interested in the tune and deletes. I live in Colorado with the altitude I wouldn’t know if this would be good but for the long run I wanna do your set up any tips?!
We live in British Columbia so we actually have very similar mountain ranges. This is my second ecodiesel tuned by them, with the first having zero issues for 65k miles. I sold it problem free at that point. I can only speak from my personal experience. Best thing to do is email them and see what would be best for you. Cheers!
What EOC tune did you pick?
@@NWJeeps I have the switch in the fly option....
@@UnwindingRoads Nice! I wish I could do that as well. I have adaptive cruise so I don't have the option. What tune do you run when all your gear is loaded up? Currently I have the hot tune and I am a little worried.
@@NWJeeps with all my gear and towing I run the 30hp tune and watch temps. Egts get hot so I have to gear down slow down on hills.
Are you running the stock 3.73 gears?
No I'm not, I should have mentioned that. I'm running 4.56
So if you were to do it all over again would you go with the Rubicon or stick with the Sport model?
@@jimmyj5099 honestly I don't think I saved anything getting the sport. If I were to do it again I'd get the rubi diesel.
I'm on 3.73 gears tuned to stage 1 EOC on beadlocks and 37s. I def never thought I needed a regear...maybe borderline when the 37s are brand new.
What's is that antenna? Gmrs?
Yes it is
@@UnwindingRoads link to antenna??
Do you run a tazer on your jt?
@@danilobracho1967 yes I do
@@UnwindingRoads are you able to use the cooldown mode or the start/stop function? Or you haven't had any need for it since the weight reduction.?
@@danilobracho1967 I did not know there was a cool down mode! I can still disable the start stop function.
Is this the EOC stage 1 tune?
I'd rather not say exactly what is done. All I can say is I'm extremely happy with the results. Absolutely zero issues, the power gain is wild, and the fuel economy (which I forgot to talk about) is even more impressive! If you email them, they might tell you what I've done exactly. Cheers!
What is that a secret if it is a stage 1 or 2?
Honestly based of your video title. I expected you to talk much more about the tune and the related modications.
Anyway,
Are you running their "downpipe" only option ( meaning stock system after were the DPF ended? )
Closed EGR through the tune I am assuming. Has the map sensor stayed clean since you got it tuned?
Thanks
@@Suomyice around here removing any of the emissions or messing with them is illegal. Email EOC and they can give you options...
OK, are you located in the US not Canada?
@@Suomyice I am located in Canada. B.C.
Still 3.73 gearing?
It's 4.56 gears.
That helps a lot. Just about original overall based on tire size change
@@earlhamil731 absolutely. The plan is to go 38s and that will get me very close to stock. But honestly I didn't notice much difference. It was still seeing 8th gear on the hwy with stock gears
❤❤❤
Cheers thanks for watching!
Did you just make a video about how cool it is to have this tune, but then say, na i am not going to tell you what tune i have. Lame...
I'll reply without making fun of you. In many places such as where I am. Certain tunes are illegal. There's a grey area. And some tunes are illegal at all. If you are truly interested in what tune I have and want to get it for your rig you can contact ecodiesel owners canada.
Tuned? Or deleted? :D
I'm not telling...... Lol
So you bought a brand new jeep and before 24hrs passed you completely took a shit on your warranty. So anything goes wrong with your with your transmission or engine they can say FU
LOL what do you care, not your money
Yes exactly. I don't recommend doing what I did for people that are nervous about these sorts of things. I'm a different situation than most. If this motor blows even with the mods I'll do a v8 swap or duramax. I do however highly recommend shutting off the EGR. The longer you wait the more soot builds up leaving you with a much higher risk of problems even after warranty. What I did is for reliability and longevity, not warranty.
@@81selfmade1 the internet people lol
@@UnwindingRoads lol yup. Coincidentally I emailed EOC for a order lol
