      I filmed all that and I somehow didn't put it in the video. So here it goes:
      I'm getting around 22 to 40mpg. 40mpg is flat going 80 kph (50 mph flat) so that's the best I'll see. I'm literally getting twice the fuel economy of my 3.6. Stock to stock I think they're close. But once loaded, it's not even close. Hope this helps.

    I have a 2021 Wrangler Sport EcoDiesel with 53,000 miles on it. I don't do the things that you do but I love it. I am averaging 22 mpg a year on highway and off road with some town driving . I have 33 inch tires on it with a 2 1/2 inch lift. It is my only vehicle but I am retired and don't drive it to work daily. I drive it to town (about 10 miles) once or twice a week, in the desert for fun, and across country to visit family, friends and just to tour. I have de-rated once when it was near 100° F while climbing a 7% long grade in the mountains of Arizona. Other than that it has run perfectly. I love the power it has. I climb steep grades without slowing down (except the one time it de-rated). The torque curve is low rpms so I can crawl up steep grades off road without hardly spinning a tire. I am going to keep mine forever which for me is not as long as you since I am probably old enough to be your Dad. I subscribed a long time ago and love your adventures. Good luck on 25,000 but think higher. You can do it if half of the viewers would just click the subscribe button.

    You have one of my favorite off road channels. I was really turned off by a couple of the other channels who have spent many hundreds of thousands of dollars on Jeeps and equipment. Frankly driving a three hundred thousand dollar, Hellcat powered Jeep with all the best equipment is not a challenge for anyone and in my opinion doesn't represent the experience the majority of people have. However I feel your channel really captures a realistic experience that the majority of people could actually do. Great channel and I hope it continues to grow.

      I'm lucky enough to wheel with some guys with their v8 swaps. It definitely has its place. These gladiators only come in the ecodiesel, or the 3.6.... 40s and tons and the 3.6 don't get along very well. My build works for me. At the end of the day it really doesn't matter what people wheel as long as they get out there. I think it's cool that they actually scratch their 300k builds. I hope you can see past the builds and see the video outside of that. Also I really appreciate your comment. I'll also keep it mind as I continue this TH-cam journey. Cheers! And thank you.

    👍on the big 10.1 k ! Gotta say, what I like about your Jeep is the “modest” build look of it. No big tire poke going on, and you do go, as much as I can tell, everywhere the big$ builds go. You have fun, you don’t push the limits for “views”, and you’re honest on your likes and dislikes. Here’s to much more fun in 2024 ! 🍁🤙

      Thank you very much buddy. I'm about to have a little more tire poke! Lol I addressed it in this video. The rubicon have wider axles, plus the lift, the center of gravity is off on my rig. Running Green Diesel tune. No issues. Supposedly that turns the EGR down to a low pressure mode without actually disabling it. Don't know. I have not had any issues. These run well when you run them regularly. Short city commutes are hard on this engine and emissions system. If you don't drive much, or far, this isn't the right powertrain for you. A lot of guys were looking at these purely for the specs compared to the 3.6. The weekend warriors are the guys who have issues.

      I would just say overall tune is flawed. Very very difficult for them to tune at the OEM level. The equipment and resources needed and they are not capable. Do oil lab work at least 5 times to see a trend. I'm undeleted with and have no issue and will not have issue because a lot of preventative things Im doing. If deleted I would only mod the ECU for that only and run a Derringer. Also I prefer the idash with the pod that goes into the grab handle over your dash screen but that is personal choice. The way Banks does tuning is from an OEM level. NONE of the tuners will ever achieve that no matter what they do unless they put many millions in R&D and equipment. @@Suomyice

      Really interesting video. This is not the first video I have found discussing the concern of sludge build up on this engine. I, like you want to keep my truck long term. I have a 2022 Ram EcoDiesel. From the US. Does EcoDiesel Canada work on US vehicles?

    • @UnwindingRoads
      @UnwindingRoads  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      I think all vehicles lose. I bought the rig for 64 cad. And put another 20 into it. I could probably get around 60 for it now. But I didn't get it to sell that would be very stupid. Tacomas hold their value a bit more but they just aren't as capable off road. Which is what I do. So I'd be losing right off the lot 😂

      Yes exactly. I don't recommend doing what I did for people that are nervous about these sorts of things. I'm a different situation than most. If this motor blows even with the mods I'll do a v8 swap or duramax. I do however highly recommend shutting off the EGR. The longer you wait the more soot builds up leaving you with a much higher risk of problems even after warranty. What I did is for reliability and longevity, not warranty.
