The bike is a beginner's ebike; especially at a bargain price. The good thing about the bike you can make modifications to it for your comfort level. Great presentation.
I couldn't read the details on the video on vinyl kit. Any chance you could link or give details in description or comments? I've found some on Amazon, but if there is something more specific... Thanks for sharing the process.
You can see it’s 3m brand. So I’m assuming it’s their wrap which is used on vehicles so it would be easy to get just google black 3m wrap or whatever color you want
I did the same thing to my black Lectric XP. But I used black glitter tape. Wish they would have named it something else. That lectric sticks out like a sore thumb. That is the first thing a cop would see.
@@reddymon They are not allowed on the roads in Alabama which is where I am from no matter what the speed limitations are. But don't take my word for it just look it up. In Alabama they are governed like a motor vehicle.
@@popholmes5825 Actually they are allowed on roads but they are not allowed on bike paths and the rider must be over 14 years old and have a class M license. So yes, Alabama is stupid restrictive and I can understand why someone would want to hide the fact that they are riding an ebike. This is another one of those areas where there is no uniformity among state laws. I guess in this case I am lucky to live in California.
If they have named it differently and paid more on logo design, their revenue may have increased even more... Love the bike but logo is just... ugly... w/ outdated blue color...
@@MP112577 I agree and I was going to buy another bike just for that but they sold out and raised the price. Logo on Lectric and paint design would make a dog gag.
YES, of course it is legal on the streets without license and insurance. The issue is trails where, even though it is legal to ride eBikes on them, in certain parts of the country people who think THEY are the only legitimate users of public trails are not shy about stating their opinions. Washington, Oregon, California in particular. LOL

Beautiful! I just ordered a Lectric XP and was thinking of doing this to make the bike standout less, so its less of a target for bike thieves.
If you don’t want it to be stolen leave the lectric logo visible 😜

I have a friend that owns a graphics shop. Had him make a wrap that says Bait Bike in bold Gold letters on a black background.
HMMM! .. I too blacked out my LECTRIC XP....put my own decal on it , personalize it my way!! but tht look gr8..gud job

70 dollars for black gloss tape? Yyyyyyyya...no. I’ll let mine say lectric and carry a mase gun in my trunk box.
Can you put a link where you purchase the black tape from?

Pop Holmes I guess i don't understand the concern about a cop seeing 'Lectric.'
@@randyperkins5759 The concern is they are not allowed on the road. If I get stopped I take a chance on getting my bike took and a ticket.
Pop Holmes Of course they are allowed on the road. But there are some power and speed limitations and basically they are governed like a bicycle.

I'll probably use 2 inch velcro so I can mount things as well as blackout.
It wasn't a very smart move to name this bike lectric. They are missing a lot of free advertising because people are covering it up.
Very good point, however, they're getting orders up the wazoo just the same!
meh

Any options for the white bike version?
Very useful. Thanks!

It is from Lectric bikes. It is an option

You can blackout as much of it, or as little, as you want. I purposely only blacked out the "Lectric" name.
You can buy a 12” x 36” roll of vinyl in Michael’s craft store for like $10 bucks man. 🤨
