Awesome upgrade. In our throw away society, good to know we got DIYers like yourself to inspire the less mechanically-inclined to make what what was seemingly old to something new. Keep up the great work.

Hey Grizzly - its 2024 now and I still revisit this video every once in a while. The simplicity of design on those folding bikes just pleases the eye. It's a modern classic. I especially enjoy seeing that you've rebuilt it in all those different configurations. Cheers from Canada.

I did this to my Radwagon with the kit from Bolton Ebikes then swapped the controller that came with the kit with the Grintech Phase Runner and got a 60v lifepo4 battery from BTR Battery on Amazon. Yes, lifepo4s are heavier but they are less prone to blow up like the li-ion batteries. Now I have a Fastwagon!

one more thing, if you anyone thinks im crazy for adding the 350 hub to the front when i have a 3000 rear hub, im not because once the 3k overpowers the front 350, it starts free wheeling and doesnt slow the bike a bit, it comes in for hill climbs and tht kinda shit. Im despereate to get my bike called BURN OUT, soon because i also have bad heart disease ad i hear god knocking on more door. I HAVE to finish this build before i answer that knock. I am looking for my first ebike and have been looking at the lectric xp 2. Re the XP Premium - meh - I'm not sold on it - I like the idea of getting my own extra battery for an xp 2 - kind of what Sunny Whitehurst did with a 20ah battery. And about the step over - I def see what you are saying. But I'm an old fart and the ST would be easier for sure. I like the step over look - it kind of reminds me of an old school rigid frame harley - very cool look.

I just ventured into the ebike world like 2 months ago and I picked up the xp 2.0 and was not really looking into moddin it to the max but i wanted to squeeze a lil bit more out of it.
Where I live its cold and i cannot really ride it alot so there is alot of time i got to to add a lil bit of stuff here and there.
Like i just picked up a 11 x 28 freewheel i gotta put on yet and there are a few things i am looking into doing so i can make it a lil bit quicker .
I am not looking to jump right into the 72 volt stage just yet ...but dont say Never ...lol
There are a few things ima hit u up about but like i said i just got here and i dont wanna hit ya with all the questions just yet.
I will check out ur channel and see what vids you got up and then I will hit ya up.
I am subbed and i will check the links on the way out to see the links you got up ..
One i am interested in is the tires but i only got the 3 inch rims ...I am looking to quiet this puppy down like urs .
Lastly nice piece ... ride safe, smooth and quiet and they will never see ya coming ...or leavin !

idk if id want to go 40 on a folder often or have all that weight in the back, but looks fun. would be nice to be able to get it in the trunk of my car though. I could maybe get a 29er in but id def have to remove the front wheel and maybe go in through the door.
the only step throughs i like are the ones with a console filling in the step through like the radrunner. extra storage in the center of bike for weight distribution and helps make it look like a motorcycle if done right. one could do a lot to hit extra batts etc on a bike like that.
