Cops don't know the Law. They are told by DAs to apply Color of Law (DMV Code) to non-commercial travel. This violates Title 18 sec. 241 & 242 (Treason). When cops violate their Oath its Treason, but the BAR (Attorneys) protect the cops because the BAR wants the money made under Color of Law and there is no risk to the BAR only the cops are committing Treason. Travel is a Right, no License or Tags required. Driving is a Privilege (commercial) License and Tags required. Getting criminals (cops) to obey the Law is difficult, ignoring the Law is what criminals do to be criminals. There are not vehicle Laws in the Constitution (Law), all vehicle Law is Corporate Policy (Color of Law).

The right wing BS regarding either loving "the police" or hating/defunding the police is disingenuous and flawed. The vast majority of Americans understand the need for law enforcement and support police officers. A lot of people also see abuses by some which definitely need to be addressed. The USA has the highest incarceration rate in the world yet all I hear is that we need more cops to arrest people. How about we try to understand why people are becoming violent instead of spending money on more cops and prisons?
That officer is impeccable at his job. Very professional yet friendly, knows the law off by heart. Definitely a fine example of what modern day policing should be
I agree with all except, if the bike did not come with turn signals originally they are still not required as hand signals were used. USDOT did not require them on bikes back then.
What I don't understand is it's a menace to everybody that hears it within a few blocks but somehow the motorcycle rider himself is fine with it. I guess there's a satisfaction in knowing that you are making people uncomfortable so you're willing to be a lot more uncomfortable yourself if you can do it to others.
I see ebikes and scooters doing 40mph+ in traffic everywhere now. It's just a matter of time before the crackdown starts. Keep it up and they all will need plates.
Or we can not comply with laws and mandates that threaten our constitutional rights. It’s time to remind these motherfuckers they work for and are funded by us.
@Philly Unrau The bible doesn't tell you to buy a license because there were no public roads back when the bible was created so there was no need for them, but the bible instructs you in many verses to obey the government and the laws. Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow."

The officer and you both did a great job interacting with each other. Attitude and acceptance is a HUGE part of the interaction with all officers. As far of the turn signals, he was incorrect. You have to signal by using your hands if you have no turn signals. Aftermarket exhaust systems are for the most part not CA. compliant on vehicles and motorcycles. I hope they increase enforcement actually. Good Job Fresno PD, and hats off to you both for showing us the right way to interact with the police.
Fellow Fresno resident here. Way to go for that cop. Cops here are awesome, probably the nicest law enforcement around. Aside from that even through TH-cam you can tell that bike is insanely loud. I could only imagine how loud it is in person.
I live in the Central Valley (45 minutes south of Fresno) and being a motorcycle rider, and soon to be EV scooter rider, I have to say the person shooting this video is one of the reasons EV scooters/bikes will have to be registered. The rider on the motorcycle should have educated himself on what is required to ride a motorcycle on streets/highways as well as the noise restrictions that have been passed in the recent years here in the Valley. They are both lucky they the motorcycle officer was professional, informative and empathetic because Fresno PD is known for having vehicles impounded for the slightest infractions. Both these riders were in the wrong, as is this title. The motorcycle was pulled over, not the ebike.
My state limits E-bikes to 20mph, if you can power over 20MPH, you are on a low power scooter and need a license (Don't need motorcycle endorsement for LPS) registration insurance, unless it is capable 40+ mph, or over 6080watt/50cc, then its a motorcycle.
I agree. I live in California, and see kids riding these e-bikes that move way too fast for an unlicensed driver. Education is important for safety. If it is more than human powered, it should need a license for the vehicle and the driver.@@TheLoiteringKid
@@TheLoiteringKid A Surron isn't actually an ebike in any practical sense--they're just sold as ebikes to skirt around legal regulations on traditional motorbikes. Surrons are actually electric mopeds in both form and function--I'd buy one, but I don't want to deal with the legal headache once the gov inevitably starts regulating, restricting, or outright banning them.
For younger people, a Kawasaki Mach IV 750 is about as rare as a Porsche 356. Classic blue and yellow license plates as well. The expansion chamber exhaust system is tuned to help get air/fuel mixture in and out of the combustion chamber in a resonant sort of way. Kind of like hitting a note on a clarinet. They are notorious for being loud.
Bottom line is, everybody knows that there is noise restriction limits on the books. If you ride something that you know is loud you know that you're walking the line. Whether you get pulled over or not for it, or get issued a citation or just a warning, is strictly up to the officer, and the area in which they are in which may or may not have been getting a lot a complaints about noise from the citizens there. When you play sometimes you got to pay. And those fines pay for the Police department salaries otherwise we would be paying more in taxes to cover it..

Thinking the same. Hundreds if not thousands of aftermarket parts that will fit on a bike with zero mods to the actual bike. Wouldn't take me 15 minutes to have turn signals all done using factory wiring, screws, holes, bolts, or studs. The exhaust is already modded so adding any muffler on it would be even easier. Fresno Police Officers and Sheriff’s Deputies rock!

For younger people, a Kawasaki Mach IV 750 is about as rare as a Porsche 356. Classic blue and yellow license plates as well. I worked on these back in the 70's. Replaced a lot of seized pistons/cylinders. That's why you don't see many of these, they all burned up.
Cop was a total professional. Kudos to him. He used his discretion well, educated you guys, and wasn't a ball buster.👍
I was like, is that Fresno PD??? LMAO!! I was born in Fresno and lived there until I moved over to SLO County about 7 years ago. I love watching your videos so far. So cool to see Fresno and all the changes in such a short time. I look forward to seeing more. Stay safe out there! Oh, my mom owned a house near where you live. She was off Polk in between Shaw and Ashlan.
Awesome!
The officer was a real professional in doing his job. Serving the community and educating on the new guidelines. I didn't even know those guidelines. this is what every officer should be like, instead of making a criminal out of everyone who are ignorant of the new laws. It would be nice if TV news channel update us on the new laws and guidelines for e-bikes.
I recently bought an e-scooter 800Watts and the seller didn't know the laws when I asked, as I wanted to know what I was getting into before buying.
that cop is cool. Great attitude and friendly. We need more of these officers.
Respect going both ways usually ends in a positive manner 👍
That cop was actually being cool
Fresno cops are cool when they don't have to deal with gang bangers and drug dealers.
Yeah super cool pulling a couple guys over who weren't hurting anyone
@@MetalBlade81 he's there to enforce the law and inform the public. He decided to do the latter and could have legally done the former.
I'd say he qualified as "being cool" given that context.
Also just because they aren't "hurting" anyone physically doesn't mean they get to do whatever they want. Inflicting physical pain isn't the only way to infringe upon someone else.
@@SecretSauceyjuice who is he infringing upon or hurting? The state because he isn't paying his "fees" and "taxes" on his e bike? You're obviously a bootlicker and a statist, good luck
In 1981 I purchased a brand new Motobecane Le Champion and replaced every component with Campagnolo parts and an all leather with copper rivets Brooks Racing Saddle. People were amazed that I was riding, easily, with the flow of traffic. I had raced the Coors Classic for a few years and daily would ride up and down into Shoshone Falls at least three times per day. I never had a cop tell me that I was breaking the law. They were as flabbergasted as all of the vehicleites were. Sucks seeing people getting hassled!
He is a great policeman. He made it clear that a change had to be made without a ticket. We need more police officers like that.
Yeah he hasn’t drove it since this day.
It's all about tickets and court cost and fines usually. I miss the 70's and 80's when the cops were chilled out and not a law against everything you do. Always be thankful when they don't write you a ticket. I want me one of these.
Annoying people on loud bikes ruined things for themselves.
@@9706412739 its only annoying if you are a karen. People have a right to ride and have fun. However i guess now days people would rather complain than let people enjoy themselves. Car and bike guys have always enjoyed noisy mods. Thats part of the fun.
@@Kimmiesman24 were you trying to argue my point or yours?
Hope u none of these don’t get pulled over
Ah yes the golden 70's and 80's when the crime rate was about triple what it is now and the violent crime rate you could times by five. But it sure was chilled out!
Boy did YOU dudes get lucky.... that guy was a nice cop. Good stuff!
There are laws that limit power output and top speed of e-bikes for them to be considered "bicycles". When the e-bikes exceed these limits, they are classified as motorcycles and all equipment and rider requirements apply. The officer did a good job by issuing a warning because the goal is compliance with the law, not punishment for violating the law.
He probably doesn't want to scrape their brains off the pavement. But unfortunately, non-punishment means they will likely do absolutely nothing about it. I'd bet a year later, the guy still has a loud bike, and MrCentralDriver is still switching his e-bike to offroad mode on public roadways. 100%.
Your I.D. is like the American Express line that says, "Don't leave home without it."
My friend in my 40 years of driving through countless tickets of every kind. I have found that cops will come to you with a certain demeanor. As soon as they know you will treat them with respect they will return that respect. I have avoided so many tickets in that way. Cheers!
"Speaking words of wisdom"
Cop: How many watts is that?
Rider: It’s 750.
😂😂😂killed me.
This is a prime example of being polite and respectful towards a police officer,, and in return the officer will probably give you that respect back. Remember officer is on duty so you will recieve a lil safety lecture and let you go...... SO BE POLITE!!!... this is only advise fellars, do whatever the fcuk you wanna dooo😂😂😂
Motorcycle cop knew his stuff. Now he knows more. 🤫
That cop was extremely professional and polite.
The cop was right even if is fast you should ride your e-bike on the right lane or bike lane. He was a cool cop. Missed Fresno CA great people over there.
Should, for what reason? At that speed, perfectly safe to ride in a normal street lane. Obviously not on the highway, but otherwise all good.
I have a E motorcycle it goes 150 mph would that be ok in California? It looks almost like the cop bike in the parking lott
Southern California here. Your bike looks so familiar, too. Mine does 40mph in the city (Ariel X-Class 52v). That might not sound like much but I have raced drivers from one location to another and won by a landslide, the traffic is horrendous but us riders can go places cars cant, we can go ahead of traffic, and sometimes we can breeze through red lights.
750w class 3 huh? Yeah, mine too..wink wink. Next time, dont mention that top speed..Mine was $2500, love it. Stay safe.
Put the stock pipes back on the 1973. Its a really cool bike. :)
Officers are generally fine people. I have gotten a break on occasions for being polite. Have never seen anyone help themselves by being a jerk! Killer E bike!
Those bikes came with turn signals. And you can put mufflers on it. Mufflers would actually help performance.
Every cop I've ever seen on a scooter rides them in their personal time. He knew how easy it is to mod them.
@@user-neo71665 Hell yeah. I'm a Yamaha and Kawasaki tech and I helped my boss who owns the dealership I worked at restore an old H2 so he could park it next to a new H2 in his showroom. And except for the kick start in stock trim it had everything any modern bike has. Brake lights, hi and low beams, turn signals, mirrors, all that sh!t. And if you know anything about 2 strokes you know they love a big expansion chamber and small tail pipe for back pressure. They love and respond good to mufflers and are loud as hell even with mufflers.
Is that why drag 2strokes don't have muffles. To reduce their hp? Lmao
@@MrMatthewb9876 Drag bikes have two speeds. Off. And oh sh!t!!!!! You'd have hard time to ride them on the street. It would foul out the plugs. And before that you'd be either stalling it out a bunch or almost killing yourself. You can't roll into the throttle on a two stroke drag bike. At least not one where it's pushing so much air that mufflers are a disadvantage. But you look back at old 2 stroke motocross, superbike and moto gp bikes. All those bikes had mufflers.
@@worldssickestmedia2713 I mean yeah old none powervalved 2strokes might benefit from the resistance in the mid range. I'll give you that
The Kawasaki Mach 3 was known as the Widow Maker. Very fast in a straight line and had a very peaky power curve. First time I drove one back in "73 I had cartoon eyes. They bugged out when it lifted the wheel when I shifted from 2 to 3rd.
A friend at work let me ride his 750 back in about '72 (I was a Norton rider), I survived doing a burnout on some smooth, dusty pavement in front of the plant, quite a thrill at the time... Once I got to race a 500 at the strip in '70, looking over approaching the finish, he was nowhere to be seen, he wheelied and crashed coming off the line. Great memories of a wonderful era... Cheers
@@markmark2080 The bikes back then were a bit hard to control and for the most part unforgiving. I got to ride a MV Agusta 750 America back when I was 16 in 1973 and I still have the shorts with the streak mark in them. LOL
You should always carry identification especially on a bike. I had a cousin who went out for a soda and got her car totaled. She had no id on her and the car belong to a friend who died in the crash. She was a john doe in an hospital for 9 months before she got her memory back. So just saying keep some form of Id on your runs.
Hey, at least the officer was a reasonable, cool person, who just wanted to give you guys some info, which is great.
Man, you both were super lucky. I live in damn California too, and got pulled over on my old Harley which is over 30 years old and he gave me a ticket for loud exhaust. You can’t believe what I had to go through. All told ended up costing me over $2000 as I had to put it back to stock and take it to a referee station. It wasn’t close to being as loud as the motorcycle on your video.
Sorry you had such a hassle but you have to realize when you go noisier than stock you’re creating a public nuisance and threaten the sport for the rest of us
I mean - unless you buy a DOT approved exhaust you should expect a ticket on a loud bike. Most of them even say (not for highway use) on them to keep liability off them. Stock or DOT approved is the only way to do it legally.
@@corail53 I know. Bro is shocked he paid money to brake the law
So you get a ticket for having a loud bike, I'm pretty sure some bikes are just loud to begin with and it's the same with cars so I'm kind of lost here
In the UK they will seize the bike, crush it, and fine you for the pleasure. If you also have a driving licence you'll also get penalties which last for 3 years and will make car insurance more expensive.
These times are going to be challenging for cops. Electric bicycles are here and they are as quick as traffic.. And at the other end of the scale, a classic vehicle from an era when emissions were of minimal interest and lights were very optional. That's a heck of a lot of general knowledge the cop's gotta have on board just to know and assess what he's looking at.
Asses he's looking at , hilarious .

Wouldn't this bike fall under the 30year classic vehicle laws. This is garbage for people to be pulled over for nothing.
@@TheTyrial86 not really the cop thought it was a dirt bike
Officer: "How many watts is that?" MrCentraldriver: "750W " Hahaha an't no way a 750W bike is getting anywhere near 44mph lol. If the officer actually knew his stuff he would have known that lol.
😇
ive gotten a 750w motor to 50mph before, and a 350w to 35mph. It's called hotrodding for a reason.
The only way you are getting 750W to 50mph and 350W to 35mph is using a massive!!! 72v controller or something. And at that point the motor is peaking well beyond its nominal outputs and will surely burn out in no time. I should rephrase my comment, under normal means it’s impossible to push a 750w motor to 44mph using any conventional controller say that would be paired with a 750w motor Say 48v to 52v.
@@zeppast oh yeah, I was running 5 or 6 times the amps the motor was designed for forsure. I know what you mean I'm just playing on words. Cheers

Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Glad everything turned out ok. $600 is a lot of money. Unfortunately, LA law enforcement are starting to get wise to eBikes (Sur Ron, Huck, Onyx etc) and it’s not even summer yet when these bikes will be all over the roads in California and in other states. It will be only a matter of time when the public patience with “groups rides” will come to an end. Ride safe and in the bike lane. LOL
Those examples aren't even electric bicycles. They are electric dirtbikes trying too hard to be something they aren't.
That cop was actually a pretty decent bloke. Good to see considering almost all we ever see of American police here in Oz is them pulling guns on people. Nice to see a polite interaction and some respect from all party’s there…
Good bloke would have kept on riding and not bothered someone who did nothing wrong.
Actually I would rather see more cops be stopping the tragedy's in the society. I am tired of them getting paid according to how many fines they can impose on regular good guys like these bikers. Do we really think that they care when they spend more time filling city coffers with fines on ordinary citizens Than They Do going after the idiots selling Fentenyl laced drugs or doing really evil things ? I have lived long enough & seen enough to know that most cops will not stop anyone that is really dangerous or dangerous looking unless they already have several others backing them up . Then it'll usually take all of them to handle any confrontation since the powdered sugar from those donuts makes it difficult to not have sugar in their eyes while struggling .................
@@KineticSymphony Driving with no license plate and a vehicle that doesn’t meet the requirements of a vehicle isn’t “doing nothing wrong”. 🤣 You may not like the law, but if we don’t enforce it then we don’t have any laws. It's the first video I've seen where the cop was actually OK keep up the good work.
Most LEO interactions are pretty much like this one. Usually people don't post about LEOs being rational and informative; they only post videos of the LEO being a prick because that fits their narrative.
